A: Early Morning

Luna (and Mamoru) had learned long ago, that the way to get Usagi anywhere on time was to set her alarm clock an hour ahead. While Usagi knew the trick, she never bothered commenting on it because, well, it worked! She got up early, she got to things on time, and everyone was happy that she wasn’t late. Still, even if Usagi knew the trick, considering the situation she was currently in? She completely forgot to do it. After all, she liked sleeping in as much as the next person (probably more than the next person, actually)!

Which was why, running through the streets was the blonde bunny, in a bright white and blue dress, crying in dismay: "I’M LAAAAAATE! I’M LATE I’M LAAAATE!" with a bag on her shoulder and a lunch-box in hand. The rabbit was late and had no time to say hello or goodbye to those she was living with, she was late she was late she was late!

So frantic to get to work on time, she didn’t pay attention as she turned the corner...

And promptly smacked into someone, falling backwards and straight to the ground.

"OOOOOOOW!" she cringed and whimpered only a little. She rubbed her back, she paused to catch her breath, and then quickly popped right back up as if she hadn’t just fallen. She was so used to falling, honestly that it wasn’t something she couldn't handle. She didn’t have time to be upset, though, because not only was she late, and more importantly, she possibly just hurt someone!

"I’m so so so so so sorry! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" she had to go but she didn’t want to abandon the person she just ran into. She bowed deeply. "Really, I’m so sorry!"

B: Throughout the Day

Usagi let out a sigh of relief as she had made it on time. The flower shop owner, Ophelia, merely chuckled to herself and commented about how nice it was to have such an energetic girl around the shop.

The older woman was actually incredibly kind to hire her on. Usagi explained that she had just moved in with all of her cousins after an accident involving their parents. Serena Lapin was doing everything she could to support her family, five girls and one boy! Ophelia was an older woman, bent over and needing a cane to walk, and her son and his best friend worked for her as it got harder for her to work by herself, but at seeing "Serena’s" eagerness and willingness to work, her friendly and open nature, well Ophelia commented that it would be nice to have another girl around, hiring the very day Usagi applied.

And, on top of Usagi’s paycheck, she got to take home flowers that were too old to sale or were damaged in such a way that they couldn’t be given to their customers. She had already taken a few damaged roses, plucked off the ruined petals and leaves and stuck them in her hair. But Usagi was also thinking that flower bouquets would be a great way to keep the house smelling lovely and feeling warm.

Usagi, or rather Serena Lapin was ready to work! With her pastel pink apron and the name badge with a little thistle at the end of it, she could face anything. She looked up when she heard the door chime and greeted the guest with a bright smile.

"Welcome to Thistle Do Nicely: A Flower for Every Occasion! My name is Serena, how can I help you today?"

"Oh! Then might I recommend our: 'Good Morning Sunshine!' bouquet?" Usagi offered, clapping her hands together. "It has sunflowers, daffodils, white tulips, and yellow and white daisies! Nothing more bright and cheerful than that bouquet!"

At the mention of his significant other, she giggled. "Well, then for your 'whatever he may be,' I recommend one single deep red rose. Nothing more romantic than a red rose, after all."

Ryouta shook his head. "No, not a rose. Too cliche. And our relationship isn't... Like that." He paused thinking. "I mean, normally we just, you know, do stuff. But he took me out on a real date last month, so maybe? Anyways he's kinda feral."

He did a 'what can you do' shrug. "But the sunshine bouquet sounds good."

Oh. Usagi pouted, her favorite flower was a rose and Mamoru got her roses all the time. She loved his roses. She wanted to defend them but knew she wasn't in any position to do so.

"I can get a 'Good Morning Sunshine' bouquet ready for you in just a few minutes. But um... Feral?" she wasn't sure she understood. She looked around the store in thought. "Well, what is his favorite color?"

Ryouta cheeks turned a little pink. "In a good way. The way that keeps you coming back for more. Like a big jungle cat. I mean, it's Xanxus." He says this as if she should know who that is. In fact, he's surprised she's acting so professional. Most of the time when he talks to girls they're gushing at him. Not surprising, he's a popular musician and very good looking. And Xanxus is a popular punk rocker, and the fact they just had their kiss cam picture plastered all over the web...

He's going to give this shop a really good review on Yelp! Such professionalism should be recognized. He loves his fans, he does, but sometimes he just wants to be treated normal.

Ryouta paused for a moment. "Orange, I think." He gives her a sheepish grin. "We've never really talked about favorite colors."

She had absolutely no clue who that was, but she supposed she should play along. Usagi nodded at the name, not saying anything else regarding the matter. It's just as well Ryouta didn't ask her for her opinion on her appearance since her one and only love was Mamoru. No one was more handsome and good looking than Mamoru to Usagi, he was her one and only! She was glad that she got to keep her engagement ring on this mission as well as his watch. It was all she had to give her strength when she missed him to the point of tears.

But she smiled, knowing how much the beginning of being in love could be so... giddy and you just talk about everything and nothing.

Okay so... jungle cat. She pressed a finger to her lips in thought and then snapped her fingers.

"I know the perfect flower then! Why not a single tiger lily!"

"That sounds prefect!"

Except he didn't know what a Tiger Lily looked like.

"Um.. can I see one?"

"Mmhmm! Come right this way!" she said as she came out from behind the counter and led him over to the lilies.

"These are all our lilies and theeese," she plucked two lilies. One that was very spotted and one that was less so. "Are tiger lilies! What do you say?"

"Oh, they're pretty." He eyes them critically for a moment before settling on the very spotted one.

"Do you do deliveries?"

"We do! It will cost a tiny bit extra and I'll need the address for delivery but after that we can take care of everything else, just tell us when you want to send it!" she held up a little calendar. "Same day deliveries do cost more but we're more than happy to do them if needed."

"Money's not a problem," he said and pulled out his wallet. "Can I write a note?"

"Mmhmm! A note is perfectly fine, just please know it's a 150 character limit since we type it out. However, if you want to write something longer, we do have actual cards available?" she gestured to the rotating stand of cards near the counter for all sorts of occasions.

"Okay, can I have one delivered everyday until Valentine's day?"

It's not like he has anything better to spend in on. "I'll go ahead and pay it all now."

"Um... we do deliver, but I don't know if we can do a delivery like that daily," she answered honestly. "I can ask Mrs. Ophelia, the owner, though."

"Would you please?" Ryouta asked. "That would be great if you could!"

He's giving this romance thing a go.

When Usagi came back, she gave a small bow.

"My apologies, but we do not deliver single flowers daily. While we have no issue with bouquets, individual flowers are not possible. If you would like, we can provide you the required amount from now until the date you mentioned so as to allow you to do it, but such a thing is not possible," mostly because it was a staffing issue. The boys were the ones who went on the delivery.

"Again, my deepest apologies, sir."

"Hmm," Ryouta considered this.

"Well, how about I send a single flower today, and then a bouquet on Valentine's?"

"Well actually, we're going to be having a special sale soon for Valentine's day, you should hold off on that bouquet for Valentine's day. Why not come back in a week so you can get the benefit of the sale?"

"Sure that works."

He smiles. "I'll be back closer to Valentine's Day."
