☆A Little Little Fun



On the morning of the 24th, the sun rises over Vista City and, more importantly, Archer Park- a series of rooftop parks connected to each other by bridges and overflowing greenery of all sorts. It's a popular on most days to start with. Today, however, is the day of the Double S Charity Concert. Thus, it's more packed than usual.

One of the park "islands" is home to a concert stage, and that is where the concert is taking place. All throughout the next couple of days, various musicians will perform songs they've written about or dedicated to another in the industry. With the entertainment value of the idea and the fame of the musicians, of course the place is packed.

The stage is where every musician will end up at throughout the day, performing for the masses, but behind it is also a rest area for them to either bide their time or just hang out. It's supposed to be restricted to just those musicians participating, but frankly... security is lax just enough that bandmates and the such could duck on in to see their friends. No fans, however, sorry. It's not the most impressive of places, with seating areas and a salad bar and all the pizza that could possibly be ordered, but hopefully it's good enough. This is also where one can find event organizer Jenny around, in case they need to bring anything up.

Of course, no one is required to stay back there while waiting their turn, or after they've done their performance. Attempts to raise money go beyond just the concert. Double S has all sorts of stalls set up, whether to explain to people the various causes they can specifically pledge support to, or to sell merchandise. Can't forget the food stalls. There is, of course, a stall showing adoptable animals. There always is.

Finally, there's one last thing Double S has set up for any willing celebrities. It's a meet-and-greet area for the fans, where they have the chance to meet their favorite musicians. Giving out autographs, taking pictures with fans... There's even a karaoke set up for everyone to use. Musicians can sing solo, or with others from their label, or even with a lucky fan. AKA feel free to get NPC MP here. Hopefully, it'll get some good publicity for those interested in that kind of thing.

Tickets have been made astonishingly cheap in the hopes that more people will show, with anything else being made up by merchandise sales or donations.

Xanxus - "The pale hand of the MILF" for Garnet

[ Things not usually seen. Xanxus in front of a band. Generally, he's on the side while Luci sings and others play while he lays down the bass. This time, he's got a normal guitar and behind him is a small time metal band. They aren't Dehumanizer but they're good enough. Mostly because if he's going to perform this song, he's going to do it right. No canned music.

He adjusts the microphone and takes a deep breath. ]

Alright, you sons of bitches. It's time to put this contest to bed! This song goes out to Garnet and to all those other smoking hot moms out there. This one is called Pale Hand of the MILF [ The word "milf" is done in a very familiar metal growl.

Then he starts to shred. ]

[ Success! He obviously doesn't care how utterly terrible this song is. The mosh pit is happy and he gets to snarl about hot moms. It's all a plus to him.

He finishes the song and gives a bow and flips the bird because that's what he does and then he heads back stage, smirking at Garnet as he goes by. He even waggles his eyebrows a little ]

Well, that's done.

[Really, she can only respond in one way to that.]

[Xanxus if you try any of the stuff you said in your song she swears to all that is sacred-]

[ He just keeps grinning at her. He's probably going to bring down the wrath of her rabid fans the moment he steps off stage, but he really couldn't care less. He likes her reaction. It's worth it. ]

No? You don't think I have a chance? The audience seemed to really like it.

[twoscompany]

Absolutely not.

[She is going to get flack from her fans herself, yikes.]

[variaboss]

[ He laughs and gives a huge shrug ]

So, not a snowball's chance in hell. Good to know. How about a bet. I win and you give me a kiss?

[ Now, now he's just messing with her. ]

...We'll see.

[Why do you do this to her, Xanxus]

[nope is right. It's a song just meant to be shocking and Sabo doubts he's ever had any real experience. But he puts it down in his notebook anyway, staying well away from the mosh pit]

[variaboss]

[ Not really shocking. More like he really just hadn't cared at all. A token effort was made and the result is just enough to get the fans going. That and well, that little bit of extra in Xanxus' voice. He might have sort of started that moshpit just by his snarling into the microphone (can't really call those sounds he's making singing)

But now he's done and heads off stage for his meet and greet. But he notices Sabo and heads towards the shit. ]

Don't think for a moment I'll half ass our little play off.

[vivelarevolution]

[Sabo gives him a mild look as he flips the notebook shut]

If you're going to half-ass anything I'm not even sure you're worth the effort.

[variaboss]

[ He raises an eyebrow at that. This little shit is really full of himself. Sort of reminds him of when he was younger and just starting out. But he can't be that much older than Sabo. ]

Look. It's like this. I don't care about this pissant contest. I just joined because it sounded like fun. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't do it to win. I did it because I felt like it and because my fans might like to see me.

[ He doesn't even care if Garnet enjoyed her song. What matters is that his fans did. Everyone else can suck it. ]

Doesn't matter to me. [he shrugs lightly] Shit effort is shit effort even when you're just using it to show off.

[variaboss]

It's not rock until you're showing off. They're here for a show. Even if I went up there and had written a full Opera for her, it wouldn't matter. If it's not fun, I just don't care. So long as I enjoyed myself and they enjoy it too, I win. Even if I lose.

[vivelarevolution]

[he smirks. There's something about that attitude that he admires. Doing whatever the hell you want. Whenever. There's a word for it that he can't quite remember-- though it's something along the lines of freedom... A complicated word. Not quite so complicated a guy.

So much wasted potential, though. It annoys him as much as amuses him.]

If that's all it's going to be, it might as well be pop. [which nothing against that but nothing is still nothing]

As long as it makes you happy.

[shrug. And he'll turn back to his notebook. Though not completely dismissing the other guy, clearly not giving him his full attention either]

[traumatizing]

[Wow.]

[variaboss]

[ Cue the demented toddler laugh as he heads off stage ]

Just wow, hmmm? So good I rendered you speechless.

[ Full of himself? Totally. ]

[cleartranquil]

[There is a very loud laugh from somewhere in the audience, and yep, that is Yuffie, losing her shit somewhere near the moshpit.]

[variaboss]

[ He knows that laugh. Too bad Yuffie isn't in the pit because he would love to see her in there. She'd probably cream the others. But it's good to hear her laugh. He totally turns while playing some crazy guitar riff and grins at her. A huge smile that says he's purposely fucked this song up and that since she laughed, he's won. Even if he loses, her laughter is a win in his book. ]

[Of course the boss is great at this. Mammon isn't surprised. He always had a great voice to start with, demented toddler laughs not counting.]

[They make sure to get his whole performance on camera, along with making sure to get a good view of the mosh pit he's started. Sure, they'll probably slide copies to Lussuria and Levi when this whole mess is done with, but for now, it also has the practical applications of seeing what kind of security is around him when he performs and his condition.]

[Let no one say Mammon can't do their job and find a way to make money at the same time.]

[variaboss]

[ He hadn't got any idea that he's being video-taped by someone. Mostly because he's so used to it now. Being a rockstar means he's always in the media's eyes somewhere. He wouldn't be surprised if he sees his performance on YouTube in a day or so if not within hours.

He walks past the small person. For a moment, he almost lingers. He lingers at a familiar feeling this person gives off. Something about...mist...and a toddler. Then he shakes his head. He has nothing to do with toddlers. He hates kids. ]

Hey, Video Camera, you want me to sign that shit for you?

[avidita]

[All the people in the audience, and he chooses to bother them. Coincidence, a hint of something, or fate? Mammon doesn't bother wondering.]

[Instead, they just tilt their head back to glance at him with a smirk.]

If I'm going to have you sign anything, it'll be something I can sell. I'm still using this.

[variaboss]

[ He raises an eyebrow at that. That seems so damn familiar somehow. Something about a very small child. But why would he know some little kid? He hates kids. ]

Something to sell, hmmm? Well then, how about this then.

[ He pulls off some of those hair accessories he's started to take to wearing. ]

I'll just put my name on this. You're the only ones that get them. Just make sure that that video is the best it can be.

[avidita]

[Well, if they ever need to amuse a cat, Mammon supposes they're set. A small smirk crosses their face as they accept the accessory.]

Don't worry. It'll be... varia levels of quality.

[variaboss]

[ That word. That word has his attention FULL STOP. He knows that word. He remembers. It's the same flashes again. The feather boa, piercings, a tiara, long white hair, a hood... They belong to people. People he knows, but he still can't see them. He still can't see their faces. They seem so important to him and he just can't remember them. ]

....YOU... That word...HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT WORD!?

[ His sudden very loud outburst might have gotten the attention of the crowd. They're probably hoping for another "Xanxus gets into a fight" show. ]
