☆A Little Little Fun



On the morning of the 24th, the sun rises over Vista City and, more importantly, Archer Park- a series of rooftop parks connected to each other by bridges and overflowing greenery of all sorts. It's a popular on most days to start with. Today, however, is the day of the Double S Charity Concert. Thus, it's more packed than usual.

One of the park "islands" is home to a concert stage, and that is where the concert is taking place. All throughout the next couple of days, various musicians will perform songs they've written about or dedicated to another in the industry. With the entertainment value of the idea and the fame of the musicians, of course the place is packed.

The stage is where every musician will end up at throughout the day, performing for the masses, but behind it is also a rest area for them to either bide their time or just hang out. It's supposed to be restricted to just those musicians participating, but frankly... security is lax just enough that bandmates and the such could duck on in to see their friends. No fans, however, sorry. It's not the most impressive of places, with seating areas and a salad bar and all the pizza that could possibly be ordered, but hopefully it's good enough. This is also where one can find event organizer Jenny around, in case they need to bring anything up.

Of course, no one is required to stay back there while waiting their turn, or after they've done their performance. Attempts to raise money go beyond just the concert. Double S has all sorts of stalls set up, whether to explain to people the various causes they can specifically pledge support to, or to sell merchandise. Can't forget the food stalls. There is, of course, a stall showing adoptable animals. There always is.

Finally, there's one last thing Double S has set up for any willing celebrities. It's a meet-and-greet area for the fans, where they have the chance to meet their favorite musicians. Giving out autographs, taking pictures with fans... There's even a karaoke set up for everyone to use. Musicians can sing solo, or with others from their label, or even with a lucky fan. AKA feel free to get NPC MP here. Hopefully, it'll get some good publicity for those interested in that kind of thing.

Tickets have been made astonishingly cheap in the hopes that more people will show, with anything else being made up by merchandise sales or donations.

[determinate]

[There is a small child in a striped sweater standing around the concert. Well, standing might be a generous word. Early in the day they were indeed lurking around the edges of the crowd, but they're a bit too short to see around everybody. So they just climb up the back of one of the stalls and spend the rest of the time watching from the roof. While they look pretty impassive about the whole thing, they clap after each song.

Later on, they'll be slipping into the meet and greet. Frisk isn't sure if this is okay - but there's so many people here. How could the kidnappers really notice one kid? They aren't dressed the same or anything. Besides, they aren't going to even have a chance to talk to Sans if things keep moving as quick as they are now.

They'll apologize if Silver or Gold brings it up.

All the same, Frisk picks a woman with a couple children of her own and sticks near the back of their group, close enough that they might look like they're all together. It's crowded enough that they hopefully won't notice they're being followed.]

[Oh. Saitama notices Frisk on a roof, and wanders up.]

Hey, kiddo. You need a boost?

[determinate]

[Oh! Frisk hesitates, then nods. Sure!]

Alrighty. C'mere.

[He'll hold his hands out and pick her up, and perch her on his shoulders like any dad with his kid. He'll keep a hold of her so she doesn't fall.]

Just pat my head or something if you want to go somewhere.

[determinate]

[Frisk giggles and taps lightly on his head. Sure, they'll do that.

After a while, there's some shifting about as they get their phone. They type out a message before passing it down to him.]

Did you come here to see someone special?

[heroforfun]

[He'll glance at it before passing it back.]

I showed up to see everyone that's, y'know, stuck here. But yeah, the guy I know is here.

[determinate]

Which one's he?

[They agree it's definitely good to get to know all of the musicians, at least to look at. Maybe if they run into one in the street later, they can help them with something. Helps even more to know who's who.]

The blond one with the sunglasses.

[He points at one of the posters that happens to have Genos on it.]

What about you?

[determinate]

[Frisk spends a moment scanning the posters, then taps him lightly and points to one with Sans.]

It's hard to recognize him now. I'm glad his name's the same. [Although this is the first time they're really seeing the FULL name they gave him...they take the phone back to add something quickly.] Doesn't Esqueleto mean skeleton?

Don't know, I only speak Japanese and English, now.

[You know what? Roofs aren't a bad idea. Mammon is also having trouble now and then with their own shortness, and it doesn't take long at all before Frisk will find the illusionist settling besides them.]

[Fantasma gets her own seat between both Frisk and Mammon.]

Good idea.

[determinate]

[Oh! Frisk looks pleasantly surprised to be joined, and they sign a thanks.]

This is weird.

[Recognizing the signing, they quirk up an eyebrow in interest. Not that it's seen past their hood, really.]

Seeing them perform, or something else?

[determinate]

[Frisk gestures up at the stage, where currently someone they don't know at all is singing about someone else they don't know. They're doing well, but.]

This is supposed to be fun but it's not. Even though they're good.

[avidita]

Because you know how they really got onto that stage, right?

[It's the obvious reasoning.]

[determinate]

[Frisk just nods. Of course that's it.]

I don't like waiting. I feel like we're not doing much.

[avidita]

Then do something.

[Because clearly it's that easy.]

As long as it's not a major action... There's plenty for us to do. Little of it is flashy, however.

[determinate]

I'm going down there to talk to Sans later. If he's there.

[Frisk rests their elbows on their knees, phone dangling idly from one hand as they watch the stage for a moment.]

When I met him in the dream, he was scared of me.

[avidita]

Really? Did you do something in particular to him?

[firelotus]

[ Being up high is a splendid idea, and Frisk is not the only one who has had that idea. Fon does like the change in the air that is offered up by the roof, since it's so warm down with the crowd.

He smiles when he spots the child. ]

Hello. It's a better view from up here, isn't it?

[ And a less crowded one, for that matter. ]

[determinate]

[Frisk hadn't expected to be joined up here. Luckily, they heard him climbing up, so they weren't too startled. They glance up and nod, smiling. This isn't someone they know, but they pat the roof next to them anyway. It's good to have company.]

[firelotus]

[ He smiles, and puts a hand around a fist in a slight bow, with a soft ] xie xie, [ slipping past his lips, before he slips down to sit beside them. ]

Are you waiting for any performance in particular?

[ He’s asking if they are hoping to spot anyone in particular, in a way. ]

[determinate]

[Frisk shrugs, then pulls out a flyer for the concert and points to a name on it. Sans Esqueleto. After a moment, they also point out Mr. Universe.

That seems to be it; they point back to him with a questioning look. How about you?]

[firelotus]

[ He nods, taking note on it. So the child was here for those people, then. Possibly others, since not all "stars" participated in the show.

He points out Superbia Squalo, Xanxus, and Luce. His gaze lingers just a moment longer on the last name. He had not expected that to be their Luce. ]

[determinate]

[Frisk nods solemnly. That's a lot of people to lose.]
