☆A Little Little Fun



On the morning of the 24th, the sun rises over Vista City and, more importantly, Archer Park- a series of rooftop parks connected to each other by bridges and overflowing greenery of all sorts. It's a popular on most days to start with. Today, however, is the day of the Double S Charity Concert. Thus, it's more packed than usual.

One of the park "islands" is home to a concert stage, and that is where the concert is taking place. All throughout the next couple of days, various musicians will perform songs they've written about or dedicated to another in the industry. With the entertainment value of the idea and the fame of the musicians, of course the place is packed.

The stage is where every musician will end up at throughout the day, performing for the masses, but behind it is also a rest area for them to either bide their time or just hang out. It's supposed to be restricted to just those musicians participating, but frankly... security is lax just enough that bandmates and the such could duck on in to see their friends. No fans, however, sorry. It's not the most impressive of places, with seating areas and a salad bar and all the pizza that could possibly be ordered, but hopefully it's good enough. This is also where one can find event organizer Jenny around, in case they need to bring anything up.

Of course, no one is required to stay back there while waiting their turn, or after they've done their performance. Attempts to raise money go beyond just the concert. Double S has all sorts of stalls set up, whether to explain to people the various causes they can specifically pledge support to, or to sell merchandise. Can't forget the food stalls. There is, of course, a stall showing adoptable animals. There always is.

Finally, there's one last thing Double S has set up for any willing celebrities. It's a meet-and-greet area for the fans, where they have the chance to meet their favorite musicians. Giving out autographs, taking pictures with fans... There's even a karaoke set up for everyone to use. Musicians can sing solo, or with others from their label, or even with a lucky fan. AKA feel free to get NPC MP here. Hopefully, it'll get some good publicity for those interested in that kind of thing.

Tickets have been made astonishingly cheap in the hopes that more people will show, with anything else being made up by merchandise sales or donations.

{Reborn reaches for her, gently pulling her closer, resting on her waist. He pushes his hat up and tilts his head towards her.}

Who?

{That's only if Reborn can't put a bullet in him first.}

[That hand on her waist, the warmth of his body, the way he looks at her with those serious dark eyes... It feels like something that always should have been, from the very start, more than the music or the career she thought she always wanted to pursue. She's wanted it for just as long, too, she thinks.]

[Yet for something she wants, it seems to break her heart into shards and then again into dust. An apology wants to leap from her tongue, and she doesn't know why.]

[Instead, she focuses.]

Edward Blanche- the CEO for Virgo. There's so much to tell you, and not nearly enough time here...

[But it's important that he know. That everyone knows, in fact, but Luce just hasn't figured out a way to get it all out yet.]

[The mention of names and colors makes her smile, however.]

The hood and the martial artist... But there are others, aren't there? The woman in uniform, and the scientist. [A teasing glint is in her eyes as she plucks at the collar to her jacket.] The stuntsman. The vision had all of you at a table.

Hit the highlights. What can help us get you out? Who is the most dangerous? Allies you have?

{Hesitantly, like she might break or disappear under his finger tips, his other hand comes up to cradle the side of her jaw, the base of her skull, so trembling gentle despite the callouses on his hand.}

Mammon and Fon, yes. Lal Mirch and Verde aren't here. {He wrinkles his nose when she fingers her jacket.} Neither is Skull. The table was likely our first meeting, or one about work we did together.

[None of the visions- the memories, things make so much sense now- had her so close to him like this. She wants to enjoy it, and her eyes do drift shut, but there's no time.]

Santiago and Blanche-

[And suddenly there's a voice calling out from somewhere. "Luce!" She jolts a bit, eyes flying open. Angel, damn, just the person she doesn't want to see.]

My manager- we can't trust any of them. [She starts to pull away.] We're always being watched, but- I go to a cafe, Change at Troye and Sivan, meet with fans or paparazzi. I'll try to go there regularly, alright?

[She's not sure what she'll be able to do, but establishing a meeeting spot is the first step, right?]

{At her jolt he reacts automatically, his hand leaving her hip and trailing for the gun under his jacket, but he doesn't put his hand on it, not when she says it's her manager.}

Mornings, I'll look for you. I'm working for resources to live here on at night.

{He keeps his voice down, quiet just for her, and his hand lingers, only drawing away from her skin as she pulls back.}

I'll get you out, Luce.

[giglio_madonna]

I know you will.

[A whim takes her, then. It's probably a bad one, really. Yet it makes her heart flutter when he promises to get her out and the look in his eyes.]

[Unable to help herself, she ducks in close again on the tips of her toes. Gunpowder isn't a pleasant smell, not really, but Luce breathes it in deep as she presses a kiss to his cheek that's a little too close to his frowning lips.]

It was destiny from the start, wasn't it?

[She plucks the near forgotten water bottle from his fingertips and twists away, smiling over her shoulder at him before making her way through the trees. Angel is already fairly near, and her stare focuses right on Luce as she appears.]

Sorry to make you fuss, Angel! I was taking a break, but a sweet fan still managed to find me. [A laugh as she raises up the water bottle. In little time at all, she cozies up to her manager- distractions work so that she's not questioned. The other woman sighs.]

Better sweet than weird... It'd be a bother if you got kidnapped. Don't make my job more difficult than it has to be, alright?

{Reborn wants to turn his head to catch her lips in a real kiss, in the first he'd have had since she left him behind, but he's distracted by the warm scent of her, lilies and sugar, remembered warm mornings with his face in the crook of her neck and her fingers in the curls of his hair.

She's gone too quickly.}

I still don't believe in destiny.

{He hangs around a few spare moments, carefully hidden and listening to the interaction between her and the manager.}
