☆A Little Little Fun



On the morning of the 24th, the sun rises over Vista City and, more importantly, Archer Park- a series of rooftop parks connected to each other by bridges and overflowing greenery of all sorts. It's a popular on most days to start with. Today, however, is the day of the Double S Charity Concert. Thus, it's more packed than usual.

One of the park "islands" is home to a concert stage, and that is where the concert is taking place. All throughout the next couple of days, various musicians will perform songs they've written about or dedicated to another in the industry. With the entertainment value of the idea and the fame of the musicians, of course the place is packed.

The stage is where every musician will end up at throughout the day, performing for the masses, but behind it is also a rest area for them to either bide their time or just hang out. It's supposed to be restricted to just those musicians participating, but frankly... security is lax just enough that bandmates and the such could duck on in to see their friends. No fans, however, sorry. It's not the most impressive of places, with seating areas and a salad bar and all the pizza that could possibly be ordered, but hopefully it's good enough. This is also where one can find event organizer Jenny around, in case they need to bring anything up.

Of course, no one is required to stay back there while waiting their turn, or after they've done their performance. Attempts to raise money go beyond just the concert. Double S has all sorts of stalls set up, whether to explain to people the various causes they can specifically pledge support to, or to sell merchandise. Can't forget the food stalls. There is, of course, a stall showing adoptable animals. There always is.

Finally, there's one last thing Double S has set up for any willing celebrities. It's a meet-and-greet area for the fans, where they have the chance to meet their favorite musicians. Giving out autographs, taking pictures with fans... There's even a karaoke set up for everyone to use. Musicians can sing solo, or with others from their label, or even with a lucky fan. AKA feel free to get NPC MP here. Hopefully, it'll get some good publicity for those interested in that kind of thing.

Tickets have been made astonishingly cheap in the hopes that more people will show, with anything else being made up by merchandise sales or donations.

[She gives it a beat.] I'd do a lot for you, too. But not because I'm obligated. I'd want to.

[He's walking home, the sun is setting, "Makoto" is in front of him. In his white cape, yellow jumpsuit, bright red gloves and boots.

And Genos starts to speak "I have never met any person as incredible as you, Saitama-sensei."

"What brought that on? You're creeping me out."

"Even if the public doesn't appreciate you, I will still follow you."

A surge of affection, loyalty and devotion for the man in his visions- who he realizes is actually real.

He feels something a little less intense for Kido, but she's still somebody he'd protect to the best of his ability.]

I would protect you.

Don't. Don't you dare. I can take care of myself.

[Way to trigger a memory, Genos.

She's sitting on a bed. It's an old bed, and the room doesn't have much in the way of personal touches. She's shaking, scared, lonely. Her eyes, she can feel them, they're warm.

The blonde boy peeks in the room. He sits next to her on the bed.

"I can see you."

She looks at him with wide eyes. Her face feels strange--she's been crying. She rubs her face with her hands, sniffling. "I-I thought I was disappearing!"

He laughs at her. "Don't worry so much."

"Stop it, Shuuya! Don't laugh at me!" She rubs her eyes again and looks away from him. "Even the teachers are scared of me. They think something's wrong with me."

"They're afraid of me, too."

"What if no one ever wants us?"

"Then we'll take care of each other."

She stares at Genos with wide eyes and her hand moves, almost reaching forward to grab his shirt. But she looks away.]

We will.

[wounds]

[He looks a bit worried, but he knows what that look means.]

It's a promise, alright?

[blindfoldcode]

[She nods.]

... You really think these visions are real, right?

[wounds]

[He nods.]

... Makoto proves it.

[blindfoldcode]

[She takes a shaky breath, glad she's already sitting.]

Then you shouldn't go out of your way to look out for me, dumbass.

[wounds]

What? Why?

[blindfoldcode]

If they're real, I'm dead.

[wounds]

You're not dead here.

[blindfoldcode]

... I told you I'm possessed, didn't I?

[wounds]

... You thought that, yes.

[blindfoldcode]

If they're real, I am.

[wounds]

Listen to me. You're still yourself no matter what. Even if you are possessed you're still Kido, and I still care about you.

[blindfoldcode]

[She opens her mouth. Looks away, body curling in on itself just enough to be noticeable.

She never thought she wasn't Kido. Just that if the visions are real, there's no point in anyone trying to protect her.

[wounds]

Kido?

[He really wishes they weren't in public. All he wants is to tug her into a hug.]

[blindfoldcode]

'M fine. [That would be more convincing if you weren't the shittiest liar alive, Kido.]

[wounds]

You're not.

[blindfoldcode]

I already told you. I'm dead.

[wounds]

You're alive here, and you deserve to be protected.

[blindfoldcode]

That's not the issue. [What she deserves or doesn't.

It's that Genos is stupid and she doesn't want him dead, too.]

[wounds]

Then what is?

[blindfoldcode]

It's that you're stupid. [That's nice, Kido. That's a good way to say it.] And I don't want you getting hurt.
