I don't know about the rest of the band, but it's obviously cause I'm so tough and scrappy. [ You know, with how slender and lanky he is. ] And because no one messes with my bandmates on my watch. [ Which is relatively truer. ]

Scrappy? [Oh, that one gets a good laugh.] Keep telling yourself that. I think you pull the "cute" better than that, though. Or "cool". Come il cacio sui maccheroni.

[He puts an arm around his bandmate's shoulders and pulls him close.]

You're the best. Couldn't ask for better.

[ Oh, he's going to pout now, though he'll definitely lean into his bandmate's side. ] If you're going to make fun of me, you should do it in languages I understand, Dino.

[Dino laughs, leaning in confidentially.]

It's an expression. It basically means "two things that go well together". So you're cool, and cute. I like it, anyway.

[totheright]

[ Kaoru groans, but it's obvious he's teasing from the bright look in his eyes. ] Being called 'cute' isn't complimentary when you're not a fangirl, just so you know.

[alleato]

I personally meant it as a compliment, but you can leave it if you want.

[Kaoru... really is cute. Dino looks distracted for a second, and flat out misses the ground , flailing for a moment before he falls flat on his face.]

[ Okay, so Kaoru is physically not going to be able to keep from laughing at that. Sure, he'll help Dino up, but only after a good deal of clutching his stomach and hysterical giggles. ]

Yeah, you know what, I'll take the compliment. I'm way cooler than you.

In some ways, yes. [It's muffled by the ground, and he just lets himself splay out there for a moment, trying to find a why for that happening, and not finding it at all. So he rolls over lazily onto his back and taps his foot against Kaoru's before taking the offered hand and getting back to his feet.]

Jerk. [He only says it with the widest of grins. Something about this guy just resonates with him, and he's so glad Kaoru is his band mate.]

Yeah, a little. [ He'll admit that without worry, letting go of Dino's hand after giving it a little squeeze. ] But you still love me.

[Dino draws him into a quick, bracing hug, then ruffles Kaoru's hair.
