For the past three days, the troublemakers and ghost helpers of Pride Records were kept locked away from their friends and their bands. 

As far as everyone else knew, they were just gone. And then they were back. 

They are all worse for wear, some far more than others and some much more mentally than physically, but they are all returned to their penthouses, finally, at the end of their ordeals. 

But, at least they're back. Somewhat in one piece. For the most part.

[Hopping up, he makes straight for the door and doesn't look back. Time to go down Hell's elevator.]

You ever do booze or drugs much before? [He wants to be prepared so that she doesn't get the wrong kind of fucked up.]

I drink and I've smoked a little but nothing harder than that.

[Chiefly because she just didn't feel like it.]

So no hard drugs, got it.

[He gives a small hope into the elevator.]

We will be gentle with you. Like a baby, even.

If you say it like that, I'm going to think you're walking me into a den of perverts.

[It's said lightly enough as she steps onto the elevator herself.]

Naaaah. [Smashing down for the bottom button, he invades her personal space by flinging an arm around her shoulder.] The BDSM club visits are for next week.

[That's enough to rouse a genuine laugh from her. It feels good, particularly after more than a few days of sullen silence.]

[DING! goes the elevator. Mai snorts a little in amusement as she steps off.]

Good. Just be sure you don't disappoint me.

[With his usual asshole swagger, Artolo heads straight for the shuttle waiting for them outside.]

Don't worry. Just be warned that I am the world's laziest and most demanding bottom.

I always figured just by looking at you that you have to be the pillow queen kind. Glad to know my natural instincts aren't that wrong.

Everyone knows I'm a lazy asshole, don't count yourself special.

[Don't mind him, just kicking the door open for her.]

[Why can't he just open a door? Mai opens it the rest of the way, settling into the shuttle and indicating where the pair want to go to their driver.]

Now you're just hurting my feelings. Here I thought we were bonding and connecting with booze and the promise of whips at some point. Now it's nothing special? You really know how to let a girl down.

Awwww, you already knew I was a disappointment, 'tho. [Sprawling in a seat all for himself, he grins.] You need better tastes in bottoms, Mai. But we can explore that wild and wonderful world after booze night.

Guess you've got a point there. I can't really be disappointed over someone like you.

[She sighs out and slumps back into her seat a bit. The ride is a short enough one but it lets her have enough time to relax away from Pride's Headquarters.]

I'm really starting to hate this place.

[iitrebel]

Edging a bit closer to her, he keeps track of the security car following them the shuttle and keeps his voice lower so that the driver doesn't hear. Suddenly, paranoia is gripping him.

"It's not like what we thought at the beginning, huh?"

[maipokerface]

"In more ways than one."

She doesn't get into the depths of insinuating anything, not sitting in the shuttle like this with that security car trailing them. She's got enough paranoia from those few days in Lesedi's grip to last a while.

[iitrebel]

And there's not really a lot he can say to it. They're rich, famous, could get nearly anything they want...

But at the risk of suddenly being tortured? Fucked up?

Artolo is pretty sure it's not worth it. Still, that's obviously not shit she wants to talk about, so he tries to flip the conversation around. "But you know what is going to be exactly how I'm telling you it will be? Getting fucked up on booze. Seriously, I can't wait to introduce you to some of the names for these things."

[maipokerface]

"Why, you been saving up a stock of particularly weird ones or something?"

She's willing to be lead into other conversations at this point.

[iitrebel]

"Always." An eyebrow waggle accompanies the answer. "Slippery Nipple."
