Johanna's been moody for the past couple months - fine, she admits it. That party back in December had been quite the damper, to say the least, and the way the band had fallen apart for a few weeks didn't help. Stella had told her not to be so worried, and Jo had scoffed - at the time.

But now the penthouse is starting to get loud again. It's starting to get fun again. With the band back to full strength, five members present and accounted for, their apartment actually feels lived in. And now that Johanna isn't locking herself away as much anymore, that means the place is back to being the home of the best pop punk band in town.

Of course, that means that the penthouse is kind of a mess, between the parties being had and the music being made. But hey - that's the price of genius. Or something like that.

Shin thinks he gets the gist of it and sighs, "That's not it. I don't care about the fans. I don't care about the money. I get plenty of that by having a cute face. I just need to play music. I don't need a job doing it. Just... someone to say I'm good. Would have been fine with just having a single youtube hit. But why turn this down when it gets me away from the rest of the bullshit in my family? Without the music, what's the point?"

Hopefully those things don't bite Shin in the ass later on. At least in terms of status and fame. Roxas has that element drilled into him as SUPER IMPORTANT, by his managers and then some, so to him it isn't question. But Shin is newer than he is and, clearly, not as easily swayed. Maybe he should take a page out of his book. Or maybe not.

This kind of life here, as much as he's familiar with it, is nice and fun. Freeing. "Cute face, huh? Heh, says who?" ..clearly he's being a jerk here.

Regardless of the response, "Like any other escape, huh? Anything to get away from having to deal with you, life, what's really what." Sigh. "Maybe. I think. I don't know."

Well, lucky for Shin, while he didn't care about the fame and the status, he cared enough about the music that he got it pretty quick. "My clients, that's who," he sounds like he's joking. Hope that he's joking and not saying he's a prostitute.

"I'd do anything to get to keep playing. All I need is my guitar." The phrase resonated with him somehow, but also made him feel sick. Why? Who the fuck knows. No way he's dwelling on it. "Just want to play, and I feel best on stage."

As Shin speaks, he nods, as if agreeing deeply in the message that is being conveyed. "Sure, and you do great by it, but why? Why do you want this? What is it you're trying to make up for that you didn't have before? There's gotta be something,"

Maybe he needed an example before going on about himself. If that is the case, "I don't even know where I came from, but all I know is that I want what I'm working towards to work out. That's.. it."

And that's it. Really.

"Really, this is it. This is what I wanted." He sighs, "and maybe to not feel so goddamn lonely. But, I mean, we're hitting it off pretty well." He leans against Roxas, the mess of substances in his body leaving him feeling a bit more affectionate than normal. "What are you working towards?"
