Since the start of the month, those who know her even faintly will find themselves contacted one way or another to let them know that they were invited to a birthday party on the 14th. There's no pressure, of course, and there's no need to bring gifts.

Luce finds that she'd be perfectly content just seeing all the people she hasn't been able to see for ages now.

Today is finally the day, and the location? The top floors of the exclusive hotel Sol, which is quite an impressive feat. When the invitees step inside, they'll see why. It's taken Luce constant persuading for this for months now, inbetween everything else she's had to do lately, but goodness knows if she isn't willful. On various tables that are kept carefully restocked, one can find various rice and lamb dishes, plus plenty of piping hot bread including some that's stuffed with all manner of delicious things. Fortunately for Luce's continued existence, she didn't make all of it.

...Besides the cookies. Those she made. And the cake? That'll come later, of course.

There's more than just food and conversation, however. Everyone who comes in will be invited to participate in a little game. Somewhere hidden in the party are various small golden eggs. If you bring one to Luce, you get a prize of some sort. Feel free to note that "bring" is the key word and not necessarily "find". Take that as you will.

[Rei opted for a simple red dress, dark and long, well covering, but that doesn't mean she's not not impressed. Rarity never fails to do that, and Rei finds herself beaming at her friend as she approaches.]

[Rarity returns the bright smile. Things at the label may be less than stellar, but she's still thrilled to see her friend.]

As do you! Red is definitely your color.

[Things are definitely not perfect but...yes.]

You think so? [Wry grin.] It's basically the only color I even bother with anymore.

[She can't say she's fond of the monochromatic philosophy herself, but if Rei can pull it off...]

Well, if you're going to stick with just one, you may as well pick one that makes you look fantastic.

I'm...doing alright. [It requires a moment's thought, but she is, at least for now.] How about you?

About the same. [Rei's answer is pretty immediate, but she has a happy chirp to her words all the same.]

I mean, things could be better, since the breakup and my ex getting fired from Pride, but all in all I'm doing okay.

Oh, dear, I heard about that. I'm sorry. [She places a hand on Rei's arm.] I believe I owe you a night of good food and terrible movies, if you'd like.

It's alright. I mean, I feel bad about it, but we had a good time. It just wasn't meant to last. And I...generally like girls more, anyway.

[The brainwashing talking here.]

But...I will not say no to that. A movie night and awful fried food might be cathartic.

Still, it's never fun for a relationship to end.

Anyway, I'm certain Greg will have suggestions for both. He's something of a connoisseur. [Said with a smile; she may share virtually zero of Greg's tastes, but she does care about him.]

Is that a fact? [Rei actually smiles back, leaning forward a little.]

I haven't met the man, to be honest. But I'll leave it to you if you want to set things up. I'm free virtually any evening. Angel's pretty laid back about how I spend my free time lately.

Oh, Greg is lovely. He's very friendly, and well versed in the odder aspects of rock star life. [He's her go-to person for magic and general weirdness.] I'm sure you'll adore him.

Luce seems fond of him, and so does Meril. Honestly, it's just my own...reclusiveness...that's kept me from getting to know more people. And that's entirely my fault.

Well then, you simply must come over! We can have a party with just our two bands. [Honestly, she sounds like Pinkie Pie, but it is a good idea-]

[Wait. Why is she so certain she sounds like Pinkie? How-]

[She shakes it off. She'll think about it later.]

[Rei nods cheerfully, knowing that the idea of a party would be readily received by FoB.]

That sounds like a fine idea. I'm sure that Pao-Lin will be happy, and Luce will be...well...her usual self!

Do you think she'll be upset if we order catering? I don't want her to feel like she has to host, but I'd rather not offend her either.

Oh I doubt that. She likes cooking, yes, but I know she can use the break and she’s been better about accepting those breaks.
