Since the start of the month, those who know her even faintly will find themselves contacted one way or another to let them know that they were invited to a birthday party on the 14th. There's no pressure, of course, and there's no need to bring gifts.

Luce finds that she'd be perfectly content just seeing all the people she hasn't been able to see for ages now.

Today is finally the day, and the location? The top floors of the exclusive hotel Sol, which is quite an impressive feat. When the invitees step inside, they'll see why. It's taken Luce constant persuading for this for months now, inbetween everything else she's had to do lately, but goodness knows if she isn't willful. On various tables that are kept carefully restocked, one can find various rice and lamb dishes, plus plenty of piping hot bread including some that's stuffed with all manner of delicious things. Fortunately for Luce's continued existence, she didn't make all of it.

...Besides the cookies. Those she made. And the cake? That'll come later, of course.

There's more than just food and conversation, however. Everyone who comes in will be invited to participate in a little game. Somewhere hidden in the party are various small golden eggs. If you bring one to Luce, you get a prize of some sort. Feel free to note that "bring" is the key word and not necessarily "find". Take that as you will.

Er.... don't have that either, actually. [She blushes a bit deeper.] But you can always get a hold of me at 'Thistle Do Nicely' if you want. Though Rei knows where I live.

[Something is flickering in her mind, a part Virgo had tried to erase but recognizes what doesn't belong. A cell phone, that can be understandable, but no email address even...? Still smiling, Luce begins to guide her along.]

I'll remember the name! Now, have you tried the food yet? Feel free to eat what you like!

Rei knows where that is too. [Which Usagi believed to be the whole "drawn together" aspect of their lives again as she honestly hadn't gone seeking Rei and they just kept being in the same locations at the same time.]

Ah no! But I love food, so make no mistake about my trying it all! It smells amazing!

You'll have to let me know how the cookies taste, then. I made them myself! I'd have done the same for everything else, but as it turns out, I do need sleep and rest inbetween all my work.

Aaaah that's amazing! I can't cook at all! I will definitely try them and let you know! Ah, that's so cool that you can cook. You could have made everything else? [One of Usagi's favorite topics was food, and two of her favorit activities was talking about food, and talking to people who made food.]

But you shouldn't cook on your birthday! People should cook for you! Uh... not me, though, you don't want to eat my cooking.

I certainly like to think so! It's one of my more mundane talents, but it's a relaxing thing to do once you've got it down. It's a little harder to do with how busy I am lately, but...

[Well, she does her best.]

Besides, it wouldn't be any special if I didn't give something to everyone who came to spend time with me, right?

Ah cooking isn't mundane, cooking food is amazing, it does something even music can't. Cooking brings everyone together and just like music shares a part of you, but then, I also love food, so I might be biased about how important it is! [She laughed.]

And I would have come to spend time with you even if you didn't cook.

And I'll have to come and see you more often. Thistle Do Nicely, wasn't it? You must put the flowers to shame.

[Usagi's blush spread across her face and she was a tiny bit flustered, laughing nervously.] Ah that- no I mean... thank you very much, Ms. Luce, that's very kind of you to say. I ah... but I would be happy for you to come and visit me at work, I keep visiting you at yours, in a way. [She laughed.]

Oh, it's just lucky coincidence a lot of the time! We'll have to plan something. When would be a good day for you, do you think?

Mnn, any day, really. I work five days a week except Monday and Thursday, unless those days land on holidays. But those are the two "dead days" as it were. And I only work a four shift on Saturdays. So, we can plan something around all that.

So I'll have to find a Saturday that fits both of us perfectly, then. Maybe I can take you and the girls out somewhere nice. I keep making promises to poor Pao-Lin, and I really should keep them.

Well, I don't know about ah... "nice," per say, but my cousin Diana works at Brad's Diner. It's got the best milkshakes in Vista City!

Ah, but I'm honestly good with wherever too, just let me know where before hand. [So she can look up how much it will cost.]

I just met her, she's super sweet!

Oh yes, we've been before! We did a performance there, as a matter of fact.

[Because of course her adopted daughter would want to see her big gay crush, but y'know]

I saw! Valentines day! I remember because it's also my cousin's birthday that day and we were there to celebrate.

Oh? [A face flickers into her mind.] Pretty girl your age with long straight blonde hair?

Well, no. Di's birthday is in October, but that is her. No, this is my male cousin Ricky. He's only a few months older than me. He's February, I'm June.

Oh, I don't believe we've met... The name, at least, doesn't sound familiar. What does he look like?

Well, he's very handsome, prone to not wearing shirts with sleeves, has silver hair and the brightest blue eyes, as if they glow! He works for a sandwich delivery place, I can give you the restaurant's number, if you want?

A sandwich delivery place, hm? Serena, you wouldn't be trying to get me to eat at every food place your family works at, would you?

[She laughed.] Well, there's only two. Nora and Alex work at an art store and limo chauffeur respectively. The food is really good though if you ever want a sandwich. Ricky will bring some home from work sometimes.

An art store? [That sounds familiar..] Would she be slight young woman, with pale hair?

Ah! YES! Yes that's her! You met Nora? She's my baby cousin, isn't she just the sweetest? [Odd, Nora never mentioned meeting Luce. Maybe she didn't know though.]

Ha, I'm afraid I only managed to talk to her for a few moments! She was very helpful. Is she an artist, or just working at the store to pay the bills?

[She'd seemed knowledgeable enough by Luce's standards, but then, she wasn't an artist.]

She's both, she loves to draw and paint, someday she could change the world with her art, I bet. [She grinned, even if Namine wasn't actually her relative, Usagi wanted her to achieve everything she strove for and then-some.]

But I'm glad, she's a bit shy, though she's never been rude.
