Where: Vista City (Beach for Parker, bars and nightclubs for everyone else.)

Shin's been talking with one of the rescuers, and as much as he doesn't want to admit it, it's been getting him to question what's going on. He really isn't getting anywhere with it though, so why not shake off the uneasiness with copious amounts of drugs and alcohol? Shin can be found in a number of bars, at the bar, smoking weed outside, or finding a place to do a line or two of coke, if he hasn't mixed it into his cigarettes, that is.

For Parker

Roxas had suggested to not meet Parker by leaving his things in the hallway, so when they hadn't had a chance to get to talk much for a while he decides to try to make the first move in getting to know her. It had to beat dealing with the many apparently insane people here. Hopefully.

He knocks at her door a while after recording, holding two motorcycle helmets.

Shin laughs, holding out one of the helmets, "You don't get to know someone from just their name and a few quick things about them."

He's not sure where he had heard something like that before, but it had sounded really cool to him.

Parker takes it gingerly. "I've never gotten a motorcycle trip to the beach before, so you're a step ahead of the others there." She wrinkles her nose. "I suppose you can't get high with me like the others."

He tucks his helmet under his arm and leans against the wall, "You're better off if you don't start with any of that."

He knows his habits are horrible. He wishes he had someone around that told him as much. She's only two years younger, but it feels like more than that.

"We can still have lunch together though," he adds with a warm smile before leading her to his motorcycle. It had some LEDs in the wheels that are currently off, but that was a cheap mod, and other than that the bike isn't something you'd expect a rock star to be riding. He'd only just joined though, so he didn't want to spend everything he'd just gotten on new stuff all at once, but a motorcycle is a good way to get around the city.

She frowns as she follows. "You...that's a new one." And it genuinely is; the others didn't bother her about drugs or anything, but none of them would ever have advised her to stay away from them. "Lunch is a lot less shameless."

He couldn't keep track of all of his dumb mistakes that he regrets but keeps doing. He wouldn't wish that on anyone else. "A lot more legal too," he jests. "You're an impressive musician. I'm surprised they didn't put you on lead."

She shrugs in response. "I might've gone for it a few months ago but I'm starting to think it's for the best. Stage life is — I don't know that I would want to be upfront for that. I do a bunch of the production and bass and I end up writing plenty, so I never have to feel like I'm not getting my dues."

Shin laughs a bit again, "More than can be said for Cloud."

"Don't get me started on Cloud," Parker mutters. "Thank god he's backup vocals so he never has to be enthusiastic."

"One of the first things he told me is that he should be lead." And Shin's actually taking it as being pretty funny, considering how much he was sulking about it.

That gets a snort out of Parker. "He would've hated it. Does he even like punk? He strikes me more as the softboy indie type. Slow guitar chords and crooning and stuff like that."

[bass_instincts]

"I don't know. He's been all about the occult lately apparently."

As much fun as it is to rag on Cloud, they've made it to the garage. Shin gets out his keys and gets on the motorcycle. He gets his helmet on, "make sure you hold on tight."

Parker obliges, strapping on her own helmet before clambering on-board. "Tell me you at least drive sober. We had a drummer who would go onstage high, once."

[bass_instincts]

"I don't think driving intoxicated is a good idea, and I'm not about to risk someone else."

So yeah, he's driven while on coke, but he's perfectly sober now.

The drug is starting to lure him in more, so he's not promising sobriety for any other activity. At least not from blow.

"Small mercies." She grabs on, only slightly gingerly. "Ready when you are."

He walks it back before turning and moving at a surprisingly responsible speed. "Don't be afraid to hold on tight. Better than slipping off somehow," he warns.

When they get out of the garage he goes at a decent speed, enough for a rush for someone not used to it, but slow enough he can be responsible. Driving like a maniac is one thing when it's just him, since he's not likely to be doing much damage to a car, but he means it when he says he doesn't want to put anyone else at risk.

He takes a more scenic route, trying to give Parker a better ride, before pulling into parking by the beach. He turns back to her, "Had fun?"
