Drip Drip Drop Little April Showers
Who: Usagi Tsukino and OPEN
Where: All over Vista
What: It's a rainy week and Usagi is missing home
When: All week
Warnings: None I can think of
A: Drip Drip Drop Little April Showers
It was raining. It was a surprise shower and the clouds looked like they would be there all week. But surprise or not, it was April, so Usagi always carried her umbrella on her during the month. She let out a sigh as she was walking home, her umbrella over her head. It was a brand new umbrella and it was covered in little rabbits and cats. It was so adorable how could she not purchase it? Besides, it allowed her to have more than one person under it too.
Which seemed to be a good thing, at the moment. As she walking back to her newer home, she saw someone under an awning, clearly stuck and without their own umbrella. She checked her watch. Well, she still had time before anyone else would be home. She headed over to them and offered a smile.
"If you need, I don't mind walking you to the bus stop or to get a cab or something?" She'd even walk them home if they really needed.
B: What Can Compare With Your Beautiful Sound?
Maybe this was a bad idea.
Usagi frowned as she flipped through the song-requests book. It was karaoke night at Brad's Diner and she had come to support the new idea but she had absolutely no confidence in singing. She also had absolutely no idea what half these songs were.
"Uuuugh there's so maaaany," she sighed as she kept glancing. "And half of these are duets," she mumbled. "At this rate I'm not going to be singing until it's over."
C: Drip Drip Drop When the Sky is Cloudy
Why? Why did this ALWAYS happen to her? She groaned and her shoulders visibly slumped forward as she held the umbrella over her head. She knew this was the address, she had the flowers to deliver in her arms, but the security guard was staunchly blocking her path.
"Oh come ooooon," she groaned, showing him the invoice. "It says right here, that I have a delivery for the band from the building manager! I just need to get in, drop it off, and then I'll be on my way!" she whined, growing more frustrated as this was now the third time she showed him the paper work and he had "called to the building manager" to see if they were actually going to let her in.
"I could have been gone by now! I'm not even staying to watch the band I just need to deliver these bouquets!" she stomped her foot, trying to leave before the band even arrived. "Don't you have anything better to do than stop me from delivering bought and paid for flowers!"
D: Your Pretty Music Can Brighten the Day
"EEEEEE!" the sun had made an appearance, finally! She loved rain, certainly, but she was like a sunflower, drawn to the light. Usagi was practically glowing as she spread out her arms and just spun around, letting all the warmth touch her skin as she walked through the park.
"Aaaah," she took a deep breath. The sun was warm but the grass and pavement was wet, the air still heavy but a rainbow bright in the sky. Her eyes were closed in content.
Which was perhaps her mistake as she took another slight spin... and her hand promptly smacked someone.
Her eyes snapped open.
"AAAAAH ARE YOU OKAY!?!" Goodbye good mood, hello panic.

"I'm fine. Please don't worry about it. I suppose I should have spoken up sooner."
Because of course he was there the whole time.
"Enjoying the weather?"
no subject
"Still, I'm so sorry," she offered softly.
"Oh ah... yeah! I like the rain, of course, but who doesn't like sunshine and rainbows."
no subject
He never realized how much he should be appreciating school gyms until playground courts became his only option.
"Where are you headed to today?"

He could also use someone to talk to, and Usagi is easily the nicest person he knows here.
Actually... she might just be the nicest person he knows anywhere.no subject
no subject
He wants to ask advice about something that he really doesn't want his boss to hear.
no subject
"How has your day been going?"
no subject
"Fine. Or at least, nothing has been going wrong."
Under the circumstances, that might be the best he can hope for.
no subject
"Just cause nothing is going wrong doesn't mean it's good. Is something wrong?"
no subject
Wow, great answer. But honestly he isn't sure if he could consider this as something 'wrong.' More like something awkward. Or... complicated.
"It's a bit strange."
He waits until they've been seated to elaborate. The direct approach is probably best.
"I think I already mentioned it, but the person I was paired with in the Fairy Trial is the friend I came to rescue. At the end of the trial... he kissed me."
He pauses. That in and of itself is not a problem. It's just.... made things more... complicated. Complicated is a good word.
Sorry, Usagi. It looks like you're going to have to give relationship advice to this loser.no subject
"Dis... you not want to be kissed by him?" Usagi loved love no matter who was in love. A cat could love a person and she'd support it, even giving the cat a human body if they so wished (which she had done).
no subject
But not unwelcome. His brow furrows very slightly as he tries to think about how to put this in words.
"We've.... been friends for a long time. And I never really considered Kise-kun in that way. I've always admired him, even considered him a rival in basketball. But I never imagined he might... be interested in me."
There may be the sliiightest flush to his cheeks.
no subject
"You know, it's good to think about what our dear friends may want, but it's more important to consider how we feel about them. If they love us in a way we don't reciprocate, it's not fair to anyone to pretend one way or another. So, does the idea of being interested in Kise-san bother you? Does it excite you? Or do you not feel one way or another about it?"
no subject
"It was.... nice. But it's still... complicated. I'm not very good with this sort of thing."
It's a fair statement, considering the absolute disaster that was his first crush. So there's a ton of emotional baggage left over from middle school, not to mention the other glaring problem with this. Actually... he will mention that one.
"And I can't disregard the fact that Kise-kun is not really in his right mind at the moment. It wouldn't be fair to make assumptions about what he would feel under normal circumstances."
The more that he thinks about it, the more he can convince himself that is the case.
no subject
She tilted her head as she listened.
"That is true. But... would his affection be something manufactured by the label? I mean, I guess it could be, it could make him a complete and utter playboy and heartthrob who hits on every single person he meets," she certainly didn't know. "But! You would know that better than I would if what he is doing is normal for him or... well... forced on him."
She gently rubbed his elbow.
"I think it's a good idea for you to hold off, at least for now. Not just because you don't know if Kise likes you like that or is being forced to like people, but also because you should know how you feel about it as well. But... Kuroko-kun, you also shouldn't assume that because Kise-kun has been changed in many ways, that he's been changed in all ways, because then you're just using it as an excuse to write off how he might really feel."
no subject
But she's also right about holding off. They have more important things to worry about. And he needs to be more sure of his own feelings first.
Actually, that was a conclusion he'd come to on his own. But talking out his concerns has made them seem a lot less.... concerning. He nods.
"I know. Honestly... he acts almost the same as he did back home. But you're right. I need to figure out how I feel first, and go from there."
That's going to take some thought. And a lot of reflection on some less than pleasant memories. But it's no good to close your eyes just because something is unpleasant. You need to face up to it.
"Thank you, Usagi-san. I'm sorry to trouble you with my problems."

"You are very kind, Usagi-san. I think I'm very lucky to have made your acquaintance. If you ever could use my help anything, please don't hesitate to ask."
