Who: Haruka/Alex (
actsmagnificent) & Michiru/Nerissa (
elegy) & you!
What: Elegant ladies eleganting elegantly. While they have time before kidnapping half a record label.
When: The week of April 10th
Where: Around the city, incl. Brad’s Diner
Warnings: These women are not cousins.
Note: Please feel free to respond in brackets or prose! Also depending on the response, it's possible that Haruka, Michiru, or both might be replying.
[ scenario a: magnificence and grace ]
“Open mic afternoon” at this upscale café likely wasn’t supposed to turn into...this.
The flowers on every table seem to bloom more vibrantly, the ambiance seems fresher. Even the air itself appears to glitter when anyone stops in to hear the young lady on violin and her piano accompanist perform their duet.
Classical music might be an odd choice, in a town full of rockstars. Yet there’s absolutely no doubt that this woman can handle a violin as if she were born holding one, and her partner is able to keep up.
An independent music scene appears to have, well, appeared.
[ scenario b: when you say “fries with that”, do you mean everything’s fried ]
“So this is...the place.”
Haruka has been to Brad’s Diner before. Michiru hasn’t. Haruka has ordered from Brad’s Diner before. Michiru hasn’t.
Haruka is starting to feel like this team-solidarity thing is going a bit too far, as she finds herself seated in a grease-stained booth across from Michiru. Is Minako even their waitress…?
It can't be said for sure that Michiru has ever been this close to this much grease before in her life, actually. Her brows lift subtly at Haruka's statement as she delicately opens a laminated (and slightly bent) menu, and there's definitely something dubious about her expression.
"Of course," she says, regarding the menu warily, before she casts a sidelong glance out at the rest of the diner's seating area. It's almost as if she's casting about for help, here.
[ scenario c: which way do we go george ]
It's early evening downtown in Vista City by the time Haruka and Michiru leave the diner. One might see them, strolling down the street together and looking impossibly stylish even as they just quietly speak to each other. It's also entirely possible that, instead of waltzing on by, Michiru will break from her partner's side with a look of fond exasperation on her own face and approach the nearest person not actively in the middle of something else.
"I'm sorry to be a bother," she says after she approaches, "but do you know where the museum near here is?" They've circled the block at least once already.

When it was over? She was cheering the loudest for them, exclaiming encore as she loved listening to the two women, her admiration for them growing once again.

...well, at least this concert was supposed to try and catch people's eyes. Hopefully their music makes more of an impression (possibly giving them an "in" with a record label) than the fervency of their listeners.

"Well now, if it isn't one of our all-time favorite customers! And a friend!" She says the last word with a knowing wink. "Welcome to Brad's, home of the green tea shake---this week only, the Ivan Karelin special! Anything catch your eye?"

She doesn't trust them with any kind of tea.
