i'm a friend of the irresponsible fools
Who: Kido and Open
What: being dumb
When: Halloween afternoon/night
Where: Out and about because reasons.
Warnings: Kido is not a very good role model.
Kido's pretty much still firmly stuck in emotional hell. She hasn't left her room or slept for more than a few hours in days, and even now the only reason she's out is because she can probably get by mostly unnoticed. A busy night, she reasons, and that's why Tsubomi Kido is trying to get away with being nowhere near anybody she cares about.
The longer she thinks about it (and the more sleep she loses), the more guilt weighs on her. And the more guilt weighs on her, the less able she is to cope with interacting with the people shelet down knows.
So. Halloween. Back alleyways. Dodging anyone who might notice her, hood hanging over her eyes (which are already protected by dark glasses), scarf pulled over her mouth, Kido's comfortable blending into the scenery and picking up "old" habits that might not be... family friendly.
So please note these three situations:
(A)
Kido may or may not be approaching strangers asking if they have a light. She may or may not at this point in time have a pack of cigarettes in hand. She may or may not be obviously too young to be doing this shit Kido why. Still, she's not all together and completely forgot a lighter. So she might as well bug someone else for it...
(A.5)
UNTIL SHE REALIZES SHE KNOWS YOU. This is what she gets for wearing sunglasses in the dimming light. She hasn't done this sort of shit since she joined up with System Crash. She didn't want to be any more out of place than she already felt like she was. Plus she has some sense of courtesy for the fact there are younger kids into the band. She's not heartless.
But yeah if Kido realizes she knows you, her eyes are going wide and she is recovering by... hiding her face by pulling the scarf up more. Brilliant Kido. You are a master of disguise.
(B)
As the night wears on and the sun sets, Kido is making good on all her threats of spray painting. She's pretty brazen with it, spraying down a wall with an undoubtedly mature sentiment about one thing or another. But it's surprisingly not in purple, but bright red. Not that she feels particularly heroic. Just that she wants to prove it wrong--something inside of her disagrees. Red isn't the color of heroes. She just wish she knew why she was fighting it so much.
But someone please talk her into going home. She's gonna get arrested and cause a scandal at this rate.

[First Tiger and now Kido. Trucy has been traipsing around the city all day looking for her wayward bandmate. She's starting to get worried about all her friends running off. Like if she takes her eyes off of them, they'll just disappear.]
What are you painting, anyway?
[She says as if this were all artistic and not an act of vandalism.]
no subject
I'm not hiding. Just blowing off steam.
[She says it like it answers Trucy's question. Blowing off steam.]
no subject
[Trucy takes a step forward, examining the unfinished artwork. Kido's actually pretty good at this. Of course, whoever owns this building might just disagree. Kido is probably gonna get in a lot of trouble if she gets caught.
That said, they might as well be in this together.]
It looks like fun. Can I give it a try?
[This way, if she does get caught, at least she won;t be alone.]
no subject
I'll never hear the end of it if they think I corrupted you.
Trucy has a unique method of problem solving.
[She takes the can anyway and faces the wall. But when she holds it up to start spraying, nothing happens. Maybe it got stuck?]
Hmm, weird...
[She tries shaking it, but oh no! She fumbles and drops it. Except.... it never hits the ground. It seems to have disappeared!
It is a mystery.Or it's just the sort of thing that happens when you're friends with an amateur magician. She whirls back to Kido with a smile that is somewhere between innocent and apologetic.]
I guess we'll just have to find something else to do.
[Something where no one gets arrested. Trucy only does this because she cares.]
very unique. it works.
I should've expected that.
[Then she runs her hand through her hair, dropping her hood back. Jig's up, anyway.]
Why've you been looking for me? Did I miss another practice?
no subject
[Trucy gives an apologetic shrug.]
I thiiiink we all have to show up tomorrow though.
[Or else they will be in a world of trouble.]
no subject
You still didn't answer. Why'd you come looking? I can handle myself.
no subject
I know you can. But.... you and Tiger have been sort of.... distant. I guess I was just worried.
[It feels a little like the band is falling apart and that scares her. She doesn't know what she'd do if that happened.]

Terry starts for a moment - the assumption being that he's been recognized himself, but he relaxes once he parses the question and gestures to the box in her hand, "I'll swap you."
no subject
Seriously, she's sure she'll get angry frowns if someone smells the smoke on her when she gets back. She's been really good about not pulling this kinda stuff, anymore, at least. It's just been a hell of a time lately.
"You look like you need one, anyway."

"I look that great, huh?"

A.5 coming in late with starbucks
[Looks like Kido isn't the only one trying to get by unnoticed. Who says sneaking out is just for teenagers?]
Oh- hold on, let me see...
["Sexy Magician" doesn't have too many pockets, alas. But she still tries to carry a few things on her.]
no subject
You don't have to look if you can't find anything.
[Yeah. They're both playing it so cool. So. Cool.]
no subject
[A promotional pack of matches from someone that had been handing things out on the street! She knew she was holding onto it for a reason. She holds it out with a smile.]
Here you go. I hope it's enough. And, ah... [She lowers her voice a bit, hoping she's right and not being a little silly.] Is that you, Kido?
no subject
Yeah. She recognizes that's obvious now. She'll take the book, hesitantly.]
Not if anyone else is asking.
no subject
[That teasing grin that Kido probably recognizes from the Gala night.]
Is that good enough?
no subject
I'm not interested in getting caught by the wrong people. [Be it Pride or the wrong kind of fan.]
no subject
[Luce winks as she adjusts her wig again.]
Why don't we work together to avoid any troublesome people?
