“'Cause the world might do me in. It's alright 'cause I'm with friends. Guess I'm giving up again... It doesn't matter.” ☆LIKE A GHOST The spirits that have walked the halls of the label towers for months now have returned once again - and while the last time they appeared they were pleading for your help, this time they are here to offer their aid in return. All four ghosts will be trying to find all musicians and rescuers aligned to their spiritual emotion in order to bestow some sweet spectral gifts open them. Some of you may have met them already, some of you may have not. While in the past their identities were a mystery, in their last encounter with the labels it was shown that they are in fact the spirits of the late Crescendolls, a former Virgo band that claims to have been murdered by Lesedi Santiago. Though most will still be unaware of this, they may have a chance to ask questions today. These are the four naked alien spirits who will be visiting, and the emotion they align to: ► Duty: Brave, dedicated, and willful, Arpegius is the lead guitarist and the sort of guy who will fight you or for you for all the right reasons. He's street smart enough to know how to choose his battles. ► Passion: Young, boisterous, and a little bit crass, Baryl is the drummer of the band and as compassionate as he is rowdy when he slows down enough to be. ► Hope: Inspired, intelligent, and chill, Octave is the keyboardist and lead singer. He's the most mature of the group and was also the oldest - before they all died, anyway. Still, he manages to be proactive about his ghostly status. ► Love: Quiet, mysterious, and surprisingly capable of being a badass, Stella is the basist of the group. From the outside she may appear to be almost stereotypically demure, but there is an emotional strength inside that not many get to see. ☆THE GIFTS They will not be able to spend much time with each person, nor will they be inclined to go near the HQs if they can avoid it. But they will be able to communicate with each person briefly if they share an alignment, in order to give them one of the following gift, of which every character in the game may pick one. ► Knowledge: You can ask your ghost a question about the in-game situation (they don't know anything about your home life so don't ask them about that) and they'll answer with any information they've gathered as an invisible ghost witness or go seek it out for you. ► Strength: The ghost will leave part of their power with you, in the form of a burst of spiritual strength you can access at a moment of your choice. Generally speaking this will manifest in a manner similar to an "adrenaline rush" or "last effort" energy boost where your character's physical strength or abilities increase 50% - 100% for a short period of time. The more powerful the boost the shorter time it will last. It works even better if, at the moment of its triggering, you are deeply in tune with the emotion you and the ghost represents. ► Healing: Your ghost will attempt to heal you physically or emotionally - this isn't the best for severe physical wounds, but it is very good for unlocking mental blocks or helping you get past trauma in order to pursue the greater good. This can be used for a large memory regain or to sooth any kind of mental trauma that is holding your character back. Effectiveness varies from person to person, but the treatment will be focused around enhancing the emotional alignment shared between the ghost and you. EDIT: Healing can be given to someone else immediately, but can't be stored like Strength and Protection can, unless you work out something specific with your ghost. ► Protection: Much like the strength boon, this is a power left with you by the ghost that can be triggered at a future moment. Instead of enhancing your abilities however, it will act as a physical or mental defense against one potentially deadly assault. This gift can also be transferred to another person at the recipient's request. The ghosts will be you their magic ghost dust, promise that they will be watching and protecting you where they can, and then be on their way. However, those who helped rescue them during the In Reaching Out plot will get something a little bit extra. (IE, those who participated in the Ghost Quest plot.) They'll both get their immediate pick of one of the above boons as well as: ► Spirit Summon: Your aligned spirit will give each Ghost Quest participant the ability to summon them for direct aid on one occasion, in the form of a small ectoplasmic token. Their arrival can be used for anything they are capable of pulling off with their ghost magics that they don't find morally objectionable. Basically, a ghost will appear and help you out when you need it. Choose wisely. Along with all these gifts, each ghost will be bolstering the emotional aspect you share. Love alignment people will feel strengthened by the power of their love, Hopes will feel increasingly hopeful and capable, and etc. This is not something that will make them behave destructively - it is a positive blessing speaking to the strongest sides of their patron emotion. Keep in mind that these spirits do have wills of their own, and being rude or dismissive towards them will result in them passing you by. Boons will only go towards those that seem like they will be using them for good intent. ADDITIONAL NOTE: During and after this event, musicians will be able to regain memories of their capture as well the occasional flash of their initial programming! “Had me feeling like a ghost, And that's what I hate the most. [ Baryl is instantly cool in Amethyst's book. She wants to ask him questions about ghost-hood and how it compares to the movies but he seems to have a busy schedule so she makes her choice. ]

Protection. I want you to give it to Steven. I'll be okay if there's fighting but I don't know if Steven has remembered how to do any of that. I don't know if he can even summon his shield. So give him this in case he needs it.

[ She suspects Pearl will ask for the same thing. Maybe Amethyst should be choosing Greg instead but he'd insist on Steven coming first if he knew. Garnet should be okay... Right? ]

[If he's told that protection can be passed on to someone else, Terry's gonna take that without a second's hesitation. He's also gonna ask some questions about how Baryl and Octave (and the rest of the band???) are doing what with not being locked in a spooky science cellar anymore, and maybe if he knows what happens to musicians who get "fired". Obviously he doesn't know that he can't have both, but he won't push if/when Baryl tells him no, and also accept the Spirit Summon with a heartfelt thanks.]

[ Roy will graciously accept the ectoplasmic token from Arpegius then makes his choice without a hint of hesitation. He asks in a most serious and somewhat emotional tone that the ghosts give protection to Riza Hawkeye. He jokes that he'll be summoning them for a scolding if they forget this important request. ]

Healing- Love

Shin's going to want emotional healing. He knows that for some reason he's been feeling desperate for love in all the wrong places, but it's currently only a half-formed realization. The healing will hopefully help mend SOME of those wounds (Since there's so many it would make it pretty OOC if they just all went poof) and let him remember at least that there are people back home that he loves and love him. It will reveal a lot of his memories about his current canon relationships, and about the running theme of a lack of any real kind of love until he joined Blast. Details not involving Reira and Nana K. (Hachi) will be fuzzy still, but he'll remember he's in a band, in love with someone from their rival band, and how much his friends in the band are like his family, and specifically how he wishes Nana K. was his mother.

It will likely cause a short term worsening of things for him, but also give him the ability to bounce back and really fight, since at the moment, the only real reason he has to fight the label is he hates feeling like a puppet.

After Stella lets Papyrus know who she is and what she's here to offer, the first thing he'd ask about is healing for Sans. Unfortunately... she can't get to Sans right now. Because Plot.

So the next best thing, is to call her for help after they've rescued him! He could call her to let her know that Sans is free, so then Sans can ask for help. If she tells him that she'll be paying attention to when Sans is free, and he doesn't need to use his boon just to let her know... Well, you never know when you might need to call a friend for help, right?

He'll also ask Octave if there's anything he can do to help them (ghosts have tunes! go figure), whether it's helping them out now or helping them move on after this is all over. He'll do his best to follow up on any request Octave might make regarding his assistance.

Keith, with his Duty alignment, will be respectful to Arpegius. He might ask if all ghosts are naked or if it's just Arpegius' preference, but the question comes out of pure curiosity and with absolutely no judgment.

He will accept Protection, so long as he can transfer it at will to whoever might need it more than him. If he can't, the Knowledge to find out that FoB is alive/that the label is lying about their death, at the very least, he will consider that all the thanks he needs.

(If forced to choose re: protection, he will insist that the Spirit Summon and protection go to Ivan and Pao-lin; it doesn't matter which so long as they each have one.)

While Ankh is a rude and annoyingly irritating person to be around unless he likes you just like some pet birds out there, he isn't 100% stupid, especially if he can 'feel' the desires of the ghosts and recognizes them as being the same ones around the time Nia and Tsuna were hurt by Blanche. So while he will be a bit ruffled in the feathers by how their actions led to his humans getting hurt, he understands that it wasn't something the ghosts could control, so after the initial 'You're back?' huff, he will ask for Healing.

He can't help people out without first understanding what he is, and that needs to come from the healing process.

[ IT'S BEEN A FUCKING WEIRD DAY. ]

[ There's plenty of reasons to get out of the HQ - concerts, clubs, buying new stuff, taking a walk or a bike out for a ride, and so on. Usually it's just pleasant to get a little further from the label's watchful eye, but this time, there's an extra kick. ]

[ So that's how the 'ghosts' looked, huh? He's cautious but he does his best to mind his manners, and there he is now, sitting on a park bench looking like he'd just seen a ghost a little dumbfounded. Sure enough, he's just got a promise of protection for Xanxus. Which... adjusts his plans a little, really. Why bother staying on the good side of someone whose best offer would be to postpone the killing of someone, when someone else might actively work to save them? If this is true, he might need to rethink his approach. ]

[ First, though, he wants to make sure he's not being played. So he'll be on a look out for Xanxus. Maybe even try to call him to find out where he is. ]

[ And then, someone had decided to give protection to him, which is both annoying because he doesn't think he needs it, and intriguing, because it's not a name he thinks he recognizes - except it totally is, from another time and place, and it's got him all kinds of confused. ]

[ And what to guys do when they're confused? Go drinking, obviously. ]

[ You can pretty much find him anywhere in the city that serves booze. Good luck. ]

[ Look who's one step ahead of you in the drinking. Because of all the useless things, this had to be the most worthless. Ghosts were one thing but ghosts that were stupid and couldn't answer his questions weren't worth his time. He was done.

He was doner than done. He's at Honey Badger levels of not caring. Yeah, he gets the call. He's answer is with his location and then just hang up because he's not in the mood to chat on the phone. Who knows if that shit is tapped. Whatever. ]

It's a lot to handle, all at once: ghosts, and a small breakdown, and a gift from a friend who still isn't free but is worried about her, and memories - more than she'd had at any given time, and all at once.

Rarity has moved from the bedroom she'd secluded herself in out into the kitchen. She wants a cup of tea - she wants something to do while she tries to sort through what she now remembers about herself.

She's a unicorn, but given the magic and the horn that has taken up residence on her forehead, she was already fairly certain of that.

She has five friends that she cares about more than anything: Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and of course Pinkie Pie. (Pinkie, who is still stuck at Pride, who cares about her enough to send her protection- but she can't focus on that or she'll go to pieces all over again.)

She holds an Element of Harmony - one of six. Hers is Generosity, which actually makes a good amount of sense, now that she thinks about it. Each of her friends holds one as well.

She's not a musician at all; her life's calling is fashion design, and she is quite good at it. Evidently there are some things you just can't forget.

She has a little sister-

Rarity gasps sharply and nearly drops her teacup, catching it with her magic at the last moment. No. That is the one memory she cannot afford to think about right now - not until everything else has settled in a bit more. That is beyond what she can handle.

She makes her way to the couch, teacup in hand, and pulls the blanket off the back of the couch with her magic, draping it over her shoulders. She may not be the best of company right now, but even in this apartment of near-strangers, she does not want to be alone.

Agent 3's encounter with the ghosts (or ghost, rather) went rather well. She had no memory to regain, and she was given encouragement and the promise of strength when it was needed. A chance to take to the battlefield. So she's in good spirits, mostly. But, that's not everyone. 3 likes to think she gets along with Rarity because they can talk about fashion. She's got pretty fresh tastes. So, when she sees her looking like she lost the finals, 3 wants to help cheer her up.

"Hey, do you want some hot chocolate? I can put in some marshmallows." She sees that Rarity already has a drink, but she offers anyways. It's a better option than leftover pizza from her work.
