Everyone- well every newbie- is ball and chained to Virgo Entertainment's headquarters for the time being. What's the emergency? No one knows, but you're all stuck here regardless.

He scrubbed his face. "Ah, crap..." he leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees, letting his hands dangle loosely. In a way he was glad to know he wasn't the only one that felt this way, but he hated that it made everything so much more complicated. And having to be secretive on top of it felt wrong.

Less wrong than it had, though. Like he was used to keeping big secrets.

His eyes got big suddenly. Shotaro, the most important thing is for your client to trust you. No matter what, you need to hold everything your clients tell you in the strictest confidence.

All at once he remembers a man in a white suit being shot from behind. He turned just in time to watch him collapse to the floor. There's gunshots and guys with crazy, inhuman faces. It hurts, watching him die, and the conversation that ensues is only worse. He grabs at the front of his shirt over his heart. He has tears running down his face he hasn't noticed yet. He's looking out at nothing in particular.

"Oh fuck..."

If he was told that he would see someone break down after saying that to them, he probably wouldn't have said it so harshly. As it was, Ankh looked around for a handy piece of blanket before resigning to the fact that he would have to deal with the tears. Which he does by shoving a kleenex box at Shotaro and patting him on the shoulder.

"Hey, stop that. You don't want to get locked down more then we are already."

At the physical contact Shotaro seems to come back from wherever he's gone. He blinks up at Ankh and wipes his face, looking a little confused. "This ain't right," he finally says as he attempts to stitch himself back together. He blows his nose with a very dignified honk.

"Ain't a damn bit of this right. Has it always been like this?" Anything since before their last tour was frustratingly distant now. As far as that kid in the green plaid...
