So why was the weird shit you saw okay, but the weird shit I saw a medical emergency?

[This is a pretty important question and one he's not sure he likes any of the possible answers to. He doesn't think they have anything but his best interests at heart and maybe it's just that he doesn't understand their reasoning for the whole thing, but it just doesn't add up in his head.]
