Locked in a Room
Who: Everyone stuck in Pride HQ
What: This load of crap.
When: Nov. 1-5
Where Pride HQ
Warnings: Pg-13 minimum because Carnies. Tag if it gets over that.
Everyone got the same call-- and now we're all stuck in HQ with no hint of release in sight.
The reason? No one knows.
How are you coping?

[Garnet walks into the room, looking for a seat.]
Its given me enough time to work on the collaboration, and its a bit of down time, so I can't complain.

I'd like that. But Terry or Richard might have ideas, too. [So if it was good enough to have earned approval it could stand to be passed around for general mulling. But the mention of the collaboration ...]
You mean the one Luci proposed, right? [If Nariko's expression is unreadable then nothing good is going to follow. But, then, she had accepted her bands participation in all of that somewhat placidly so maybe it's not a huge surprise.]

[And...there's nothing wrong with that. She can't explain why, lest her fantasies of two dancing midgets be seen as psychotic. She will comment, though, on the change which comes over Nariko the moment she mentions to collaboration. She knows Nariko is...lukewarm on it, at best. Not without reason, either.]
Yes. We might be doing a performance of some of the songs once this lockdown's lifted.
[We as in whoever's in. Garnet, at least, isn't going to try and make Nariko do this. She just knows how she feels about it completely, and for her, she feels almost like she has to do it. To right that injustice in the only way her mind can do so right now.]

I haven't been very helpful with that, I guess.
[For all of her idealistic dreaming and romanticizing, maybe they don't need her at all.]
... It's not like I won't be there. [And she tries to joke:] There's no way you could train Terry or Richard to be three quarters as talented as I am.
[Well, that was a grammatically strange jumble of words but. It's mostly because she definitely thinks Garnet could whip them into shape if given the right chance and motivation, so.]

Or Koumei, if he could get his lazybones out of bed to be trained.
[SHE LOVES YOU KOUMEI REALLY BUT
SEARCH YOUR FEELINGS]

[No amount of soul searching would ever change Bird Lord. Asking for anything else would only result in disappointment. The light hearted moment shifts from her though, because she can't help asking:]
Were you okay in all of that? They didn't - try to kill you, right?
[It seemed as if every member of her band had been at that twisted event, so its a fair enough question, right?]

[She doesn't have to explain how she felt about it. It had less been that she'd been injured, and more that her band mates were put in that situation.
Especially Nariko. She'd heard what happened to her, and it made the angry boiling in her stomach churn more. And deepend the frown on her face the more she thought of it, to boot.]

It's not right of me to say, exactly, but I'm glad you and Richard and everyone else was there. [She'd been so angry once they made it to the end of that trial that their reunion hadn't been as happy as she'd have liked! But either way, they'd immediately known that they were all alive and okay.]
At least it's over with.
[So Nariko didn't have to think about it anymore and Garnet didn't have to be angry.]
