What: You know what sucks? Everything about the last festival-- especially all the chaos and running. You know what's probably a good idea? Ignoring all of that and having a party. On a yacht.

Where: The bay outside Vista City
Warnings: IT'S A CARNIVAL CRUISE...!

((Luci just got a strange pay bump and she's using it to regroup after the intense clusterfuck at the last festival-- she's still not sure exactly what happened there, but even though it's probably significant, she'd rather celebrate like one usually does after a lot of work. By renting a yacht for a night. Like people usually do.))





((It's a nice boat. Plenty of food, a couple of bartenders, fire pits, couches, swimsuits for those who need, and music of course. The party is, of course, invite only to keep the paparazzi and gatecrashers and people looking to turn this into a work-venture out, but Luci's given the bouncer clearance to let friends of guests and anybody who seems interesting in-- she knows Luci's type.))

Me neither. Sometimes it's the best part of a slow night.

[Luci mulls over this piece of information, tapping her fingers against her lips in thought.]

Sounds cushy. I'm sure he'd enjoy that, maybe he'll let me visit sometime.

You could just come and stay with us. Auntie Lussu would like you, I think.

[Please, Luci. Please. Xanxus made the pain in the ass decision to become fond of someone, and they'd rather you consensually allow yourself to be kidnapped so the whole thing is easier.]

I could use an Italian vacation. Maybe after the tours are done, yeah?

[Can't disappoint the kid, after all. She's her coolest aunt, after all.]

Does it have to wait until the tours are done? I've been hearing that weird things are going on with Pride and Virgo.

I don't think that's anything you should worry yourself over, Avi. [Luci reaches out to ruffle her hair.] It's just show biz.

[The out of control water gem included, apparently. Luci can find a way to shrug off just about anything by now.]

['Avi' sounds way too similar to another name of theirs once upon a time, and Mammon is briefly stunned by the hair ruffle with eyes blinking in bewilderment.]

But- [Focus, focus!] What if something happens to Papa?

[That does give her pause. Luci seems taken aback for a moment, but in the next it's perfectly natural. Of course she's worried about her father. They seemed to really love each other, despite Xanxus apparently forgetting about his own kid for a while. But he's making it right, and apparently doing a fairly good job of it if Avidita is worried about her father.]

[Luci can't explain it all, of course. Avi doesn't need to know what Luci is doing for Xanxus and now Squalo's sakes, and she might not understand it or how fucked up it is. So she crouches until she's on Avi's level and puts her hands on both of Avi's tiny shoulders.]

I'm taking care of him. And Squalo. Our boss won't touch him. [And if she did... well, Luci doesn't know what she'd do, but she feels like she'd do something. And it wouldn't involve words.]

[Oh, the serious posture for talking to children. Mammon takes note and is immediately prepared to see if they have to dissect anything. The problem about masquerading as a child- no one speaks honestly to a child.]

[Although it’s nice- at least *someone* is watching over Xanxus to make sure he doesn’t do something he’ll regret.]
