"I tried to make him do that, but so far he just keeps thinking he's a violinist and not a swordsman." A scowl is clearly visible on their face, although it eases up at his next question into confusion.

"...I don't care about them? Well, Sawada and Cavallone." Sorry, Yamamoto, but they are a selfish piece of shit. They do pause, however, tapping a finger against their chin. "I talked to Sawada some months ago, but it seems that he's disappeared off the radar since then..." That's probably not a good sign.

Yamamoto knew that Mammon didn't really care about Tsuna and Dino, but... he couldn't help but tease a little.

"You know, in the future, Tsuna's going to be the one who authorizes Xanxus to sign your paycheck," he said with a grin. "And if you help him now he might be the one to give you extra bonuses."

He actually had no idea how the Vongola to Varia connection worked, nor did he care. But hey, maybe Tsuna would reorganize the Vongola and be the one to sign the paychecks.

Of course, Yamamoto was happy to lie to Mammon's face if it got them to care about Tsuna just a bit more.

"I'm sure Tsuna's fine," he said, but he couldn't help but feel uneasy about it.

They see what you're trying to do, Yamamoto. They know. Despite that they have spent the past decade or so of their life stuck in the body of a toddler, they weren't born yesterday.

....But maybe there's a point to be had here.

"If I find any information about him, I'll let you know," they answer reluctantly. "No guarantees, and you should have money ready just in case." Their name is that way for a reason, after all.

Oh, Yamamoto knows, still, the exchange is fun all the same.

"That works for me!" Yamamoto said cheerfully. "I'll be sure to have some then."

He might have to steal it, but, eh, he was mafia. It's very possible he might pay Mammon in baseball tickets or something. At least those Mammon can sell for a profit.

You're lucky they'll do near anything to make a quick buck, Yamamoto. For now, they just squint at him, mouth screwed up, before huffing.

"Also, Squalo only remembers a little about you. He remembered that you beat him, but not that it was his own idiot fault that he almost got eaten by a shark." They'd tell him not to take it personally, but they're not sure Yamamoto is even capable of taking things personally to start with.

Yes. Mammon's greed is entertaining, and easy to take advantage of. So he just grins at the Mist Arcabaleno.

No, there isn't much Yamamoto takes personally. Only trying to hurt his friends. "Well, I'll make him remember them!" he said. "Sounds like fun to me!"

That’s some impressive optimism, Yamamoto. Still, Mammon isn’t going to argue with it. “I have a way to contact him over email, if you need it.” Pause. “For a fee.”

Sorry not sorry for their greedy nature, Yamamoto.

"Maybe later," he said. Squalo would probably think it was creepy to suddenly get e-mail from a strange kid.

Don’t worry, Yamamoto, they’ve been creepy using your name plenty. Still, that’s enough for them, and they’ve said what they needed to. Mammon turns on their heel to walk away, waving a hand. “You’ll want to find a place to stay in for a while- I don’t think we’ll be staying in the city long with the way things are turning out.”

"Gotcha!" Yamamoto gave a salute. "I'm sure there's a cheap hotel or something. If not I don't mind camping out. I'm sure there's a gym nearby where I can grab a shower."
