The second the lockdown is lifted, Luci springs into action. She's mass texting everyone involved:

It's time. Tomorrow night, we ride at 7PM for an 8PM start. Get your best shit dry cleaned.

There's already an exodus happening out of Pride HQ given they weren't the only ones on lockdown either, so slipping out is easy enough. They converge on the location, Luci makes good on her suggestion and hands the techbooth a wad of money to stop playing recorded dance mixes and let them take over the stage. She can already see one guy frantically texting into his lap as she explains what's about to happen. Perfect.

"You should tell your manager to call in more bouncers and remove some of the tables, this place is about to be packed."

He has to take a step back at that. He does not know how to take that. At all.

"Cut it out! That isn't funny, you know!"

Oh Yosuke, you're chumming the water reacting like that to a friendly threat of eating. Luci's grin sharpens a little, and she takes a step towards him.

"Awww, afraid of a little nibble, Yosuke? Boys love it, trust me."

This wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't so scary. In fact, he'd say this was already pretty hot, but on the other hand...

"You know, if I didn't think you were being totally serious, I'd say you were hitting on me. Unless you are hitting on me."

"Sure I am," Luci shrugs and puts her hands in her pockets. She says this like she's confirming she ate lunch that day.

He sighs- he doesn't take that as a yes on that one. But he shrugs it off easily enough, being used to rejection as it was.

"You know, you don't have to say it like it isn't any big deal or anything. You coulda just said no and been done with it."

"Why would I say no when I mean yes?" Luci frowns and then arches an eyebrow. "You haven't been stuffing your head with rubbish articles like 'What She Means When She Says Yes', have you?"

That catches him off-guard, and it's no surprise by the look on his face.

"Woah, seriously? So you were? I mean, no, I haven't been reading any of that crap!"

Luci laughs. "You Flashstep boys. So much to learn. Yes, seriously. I snapped my teeth at you in a suggestive manner on purpose."

He's suddenly conflicted. That's kind of hot, but should he pursue it? Does he even have a chance? Luci seems like one of those girls that if you got involved with, you'll like it way too much even if it's not exactly a good thing. He's sort of courting another girl right now????

But he's a teenage boy.

"Well, we could hook up after the show tonight, drinks on me."

Yes, Luci is exactly someone that would lead anybody she found attractive into damnation. It's delightful-- she'll tell anybody that. And anybody she's been with will say the same.

"Mm, I like the sound of that." Because who could say no to free booze, really? "Don't fuck up tonight, and I'm pretty sure I'll stay interested in that offer."

It's unfortunate for Yosuke that he's the king of fuck up, but he will try his hardest not to so he can at least get to know Luci a little better.

"Aye aye captain, you can count on me!"

He says with a salute. Because that's what scores the ladies.

And apparently she can because the whole night seems to go off just fine and be well-received, actually. Now that Luci is high on success and music, she finds Yosuke and grabs him by the back of his collar.

"Drinks on you still?" she asks, leaning in to his ear so she can be heard.

He's a little surprised by how forward she is with him when the show is over, but at the same time, he's not complaining. He nods dumbly, a little flustered by how close she's gotten.

"Y-Yeah!" He manages to stammer out. "You wanna get them here or somewhere else...?"

"Here, definitely here," she grins and pats his back before spinning out towards the bar. Leave the scene of their triumph? Hell no. Not until Xanxus bashed Kido's face in she was full of booze and adrenaline.

"Screams for you guys could've shattered glass tonight!"

"We do have that effect on people," he brags, and follows Luci towards the bar. At least here, at this bar unlike the last one he went to a month or so ago, will sell him alcohol. He doesn't tell Luci that he's actually not a fan of drinking, but everyone else is doing it and this is what you do at a bar, right? Get drinks.

He orders his own, something that is noticeably weak, before letting Luci orders hers first.

"I'll just take a fuzzy navel, but you can go a little easy on the schnapps. And whatever she wants." He inclines his head towards Luci, of course.

Luci does notice that Yosuke appears to be going light on the booze, but whatever. Maybe he needed to keep his wits about him amongst his grabby-hands fans.

"Fireball on the rocks." She, however, is going for broke. "So what's the ratio of musical practice to dance practice with you guys?"

The bartender nods, and his eyes follow them for a second. This girl doesn't mess around. It actually makes him a little nervous, but he tries to play it off. He can't let her know that.

"Oh, you know," he starts off, trying to think of something impressive whether it's the truth or not.

"It's not like we have to try all that hard! But, I'd have to say it's at least fifty-fifty, though some of the guys have a little trouble with the dance steps at times." He says like he doesn't have any issues with the dance steps, which is relatively true.

Luci stares at him, flatly. "...so you just put in whatever effort you want to and then call it a day?"

Yeah, bragging about not having to try hard is the opposite of sexy for Luci. Suggesting his bandmates are somehow under him because they have trouble with the steps ranks somewhere on that list too.

He backpedals a little at that reaction. He's blowing it already, he could already see it in her face. He continues on to stammer at her, panicking at how he's going to try to blow this one off.

"Well, not just doing whatever we want, we still have a schedule to stick to! I-It's not like that."

Panic mode: On.

"I just think that maybe our choreographer should give us some harder moves! Yeah, that's it!"

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Especially if your band mates are already struggling." The whiskey arrives and Luci picks it up before it stops its slide from the bartender's hand. She knocks a sip back smoothly.

"I'm actually curious, what makes you think you can get a lie past the Father of them?"

"Who what now?"

He looks at her, confused, not understand what she just called herself. He's still caught up at the fact that Luci has completely called him out on his bluff, and he doesn't have a good response for her.

"Hold on, are you saying you're a dude or something...? T-That's false advertising!"

The whiskey goes back down onto the bar so hard, some of it actually geysers upwards to splash on the bar. Then she's planting both her hands against the bar, one on either side of Yosuke.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you right-- I thought I heard you suggest that I'm a commodity, and that it's necessary for me to constantly telegraph what's between my legs so nobody has to 'guess' or feel uncomfortable.

"I'm not a man, I'm not a woman-- if that scares you, leave and go chase a skirt. But I'm not moving." Meaning Yosuke would have to duck under her arms to get out.

The glass of whiskey being slammed onto the counter makes him jump, and he's pretty sure at this point when she slams her arms around the bar that he's about to die and that he'd made the biggest mistake of his life. He hadn't known that Luci was so scary. Somewhere, somehow, he had an inkling, but now he's summoned it and now he'll pay the consequences.

He's pretty sure Maxxie warned him not to do this again. Yosuke gulps, instantly regretting his own mouth.

"Y-You didn't hear me right! That's not what I meant at all! I-I'm sorry! Please don't murder me! There's so much left I have to do in life!"

Luci is terrifying when she wants to be, yes. And putting up with bullshit about how she chooses to dress and cut her hair is not how she wants to spend her night.

"No shit there's so much left for you to do-- why don't you start by giving up your fucked up binaries before somebody actually breaks your face for it?" she says, narrowing her eyes at him before pushing off the bar and knocking back the rest of the whiskey in one gulp. "You owe me another, asshat. Then I'll explain to you, slowly, what I meant by 'Father of Lies'."

"Y-You got it. One more coming up."

He nervously holds a finger up, for the bartender to bring another. At least now he can sit up straight once more, as he was leaning back to try to put any kind of distance between his face and her own. She didn't say she was going to break his face, so he takes that as a very small positive in this conversation.

Desperate to get the conversation back on the track of what Luci meant by that title, he immediately continues down that train of thought.

"For real, that kind of sounds like a title you'd get in the mafia or something...not saying you were!" He cries out, praying that he hasn't already dug the hole deeper than it already was.
