The second the lockdown is lifted, Luci springs into action. She's mass texting everyone involved:

It's time. Tomorrow night, we ride at 7PM for an 8PM start. Get your best shit dry cleaned.

There's already an exodus happening out of Pride HQ given they weren't the only ones on lockdown either, so slipping out is easy enough. They converge on the location, Luci makes good on her suggestion and hands the techbooth a wad of money to stop playing recorded dance mixes and let them take over the stage. She can already see one guy frantically texting into his lap as she explains what's about to happen. Perfect.

"You should tell your manager to call in more bouncers and remove some of the tables, this place is about to be packed."

[Trucy has the sense to both allow herself to be taken away from the conflict and to wait for Xanxus to leave before rushing back to check on Kido.]

Oh my God, Kido! Are you okay? Should... I call the cops or an ambulance or the fire department or something?!?

I'm fine. [She's a liar. But she's just scowling. She's still furious.]

He would've let Tiger die and he would've laughed about it. [Kido's just very over protective. She really is. She tries to stand again and... fails a little. It's when she falls that her face finally falters in surprise. And she grasps whatever part of Trucy is closest to her.]

... I need to get home. Help me up.

[She'll apologize for being short with Trucy tomorrow, but she's not in a state to now.]

[Luci barely manages to avoid taking a step back when Xanxus roars in her face like that. She might've had more muscle on her than Yuffie and run in here willingly, but that didn't mean she was entirely sure she could stop him if he wanted to go through her.]

[Her shoulders relax as Xanxus walks off with the Yuffiecape, then she turns around to check on Kido and Trucy.]

And I'll let him, honestly. [Luci says, nodding her head back at Xanxus. She turns to Trucy for a quick aside before continuing with Kido:] Call your manager Trucy, have her get a doctor to meet you at your suite at least. No police unless you want Xanxus featured tomorrow instead of all of us.

That was a really stupid thing you just did here, kid. By all rights I should've let him beat the hell out of you for being so dumb. You're not the morality police, and you're definitely not going to change Xanxus' behavior no matter what you do. Suck it up and deal with it-- not everybody you meet is going to be a good person.

I don't give a shit about morality, or Xanxus. [She does her best to at least stagger to his feet. She's trying to recover enough for a glare.]

So don't fucking lecture me. I'm not gonna sit back if he hurts the people I care about. He's worse than Predator. [Kido apparently has neither pride nor shame as she doesn't seem to be getting a lesson out of this event.]

...I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that about my bassist. [Luci says, barely containing her anger. Comparing him to Predator-- where the fuck did Kido get off?]

As for sitting back-- you don't have a goddamn choice. This is not some David and Goliath bullshit where you can throw a bass and through loving and caring, knock out a man three times your size. No, that doesn't happen in the real world, and all you succeeded in doing was getting the shit beaten out of you. 'Pointless' doesn't even begin to describe what happened here. Unless you actually think Tiger is going to feel warm and fuzzy about you spitting blood for him-- in which case, bravo. Mission accomplished.

[Honestly Xanxus is a big fat jerk and Trucy is pretty sure he deserves to be hit in the face with a guitar. But she'd rather have a big jerk go unpunished than lose a member of her surrogate family. But for now she just nods and helps the other girl up.]

Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?

[And Trucy will help her out of the club. She doesn't think they could walk all the way back like that, so she does insist on calling a cab.]

[She nods. It was a poor choice--it makes her dizzier.] If Lesedi comes for me, don't let her take me, okay? [Please. She's genuinely scared of what happened last time.]

[Trucy wants to ask what she means. What made her so afraid of Ms. Lesedi? But... not right now. Right now she just has to get her out of here.]

I won't. I'll protect you, no matter what.

[Kido tries for a chuckle. It doesn't sound very good to be completely honest.] I'm not asking for that.

Too bad, then, 'cause that's what you're getting!

[Trucy will always do her best to protect her family.

That chuckle has her worried though. Kido sounds like she's hurt pretty bad. Trucy will help her into the cab and even give the cabbie extra to keep his mouth shut about this.]

We'll be home soon, okay?

I'll pay you back for this. [Sitting is hard and she has to basically sit on the edge of the seat and lean back to avoid being in unbearable pain.]

[Trucy will put a gentle hand to Kido's shoulder to help stabilize her when the car turns or stops.]

[That is a good call, Kido, because Trucy was over here actually wondering about the possible applications of throwing knives. If they had the element of surprise, they miight be able to...

Oh, okay. I kind of think a knife wouldn't be enough against that guy anyway.
