Will they Survive Friday?
Who: The members of Surviving Friday
What: A band gets two new members. Things are awkward.
When: Mid November
Where: Virgo HQ
Warnings: None
[Bands often live or die on the chemistry of their members. Switching out two established members for a couple of newbies is a radical move, and it makes sense for people on both sides of this equation to be more than a little nervous. Except the mananger. Mr. Yama Darzi doesn't seem concerned at all as he leads Tsuna and Nia into the posh suite to meet their new band. Either he's confident in their skills or just their marketability. Same difference.
Introductions are brief and amount to little more than...]
The lovely young lady is your new lead guitarist, Nia. And Tsuna is the new drummer. Everyone try to get along, I'm expecting big things out of all of you.
[By 'big things' he means money. And clearly everyone has questions for him. Possibly about why two of thier members were suddenly replaced. Or what happened to them. Or any number of other things. But tragically, Mr. Darzi is suddenly pulled away by a phone call. Sorry, guys, he just has to take this. Very important call. That's okay, right?
No? Well, too bad. He's a very busy man. The manager heads out, leaving an awkward silence in his wake. After a moment, Tsuna breaks the silence with a question about their manager.]
Is he.... always like that?

You're me. You need to return to me.
Ankh shook his head at the stupid new voice. Some kid and what did it know?]
Do you pick or slap?

Pick. Why?

How fast can you strum?

[There were a few finished arrangements sitting to one side of his pile. They were old hits, but like a lot of bands, still loved enough that they are requested to play by various performances that they do.]
I'm suppose to focus on the singing more, so I won't be able to pick up the main thread. That will be in your hands.

[And there is a large pile of guitar tabs being handed to her to look at, plus the arrangements with all the instruments.]

[Which should be a given but he understands at one level he was being a little cruel to this person just because she was taking his guitar spot. He should be great and ecstatic with being the lead yet he didn't.]

[Upbeat. Try to be upbeat, Nia. Try not to feel like he's talking down to you.

[That makes it a little easier, save for if she was using the live recordings. Ankh usually improvised a lot of his live sets.]
Don't worry about practicing right away. We're probably just going to chill and get to know each other for a couple hours tonight.

Are you sure...? Tsuna and I are already behind.

[As much as it pains him, it would never do to force someone to go beyond their capabilities this soon. They need some rest, he needs to work out more of these arrangements and neither one can get done if he just forced them to play.]
