☆THE FESTIVAL

Welcome to the South Vista Music Fest! An enormous, weeklong festival with hundreds of bands performing nearly 24/7, the Music Fest is a quarter annual event that celebrates all manners of local talent, both big time and small time. Every band from Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment will have performances to do, including the freshly recruited – you better have your act together, because now is your time to shine!

Player bands will be performing roughly once a day, with bands from the first app round predominantly with evening slots and the newest bands with predominantly afternoon slots. There is definitely a hierarchy to the scheduling - Pride and Virgo claim almost all of the prime performance times, while other labels are forced to deal with the leftovers. You've definitely been chosen by the winners of the music industry in these parts, that's for sure.

Shuttles will be available to take people back to their relative HQs in their downtime, but they're also allowed to hang out and enjoy the festivities if that's what they prefer. Stuff is happening all day and night, so it's really just a question of how much you can party while still being conscious for your own show. Your managers will tell you that the company CEOs pay extra close attention to this event, so that you need to be on your best behaviour.

The festival takes up a massive amount of floor area with multiple stages of various sizes and a large amount of glowy display screens. It's set up on the ground floor of the cityscape, meaning that the suspension roads and walkways above have been programmed to add to the ambient lighting all day and night.

► TRAILER PARK KIDS: For those that just want to chill, there is a massive VIP area reserved for labels to park various trailers for their musicians to hang out in during downtime - one for each band. They aren't quite as big as the tour buses, but they are comfortable and well stocked. Each is equipped with two beds and a bathroom/shower. Pretty much every local band you know of is here, including the notorious Predator. Nose around their trailer at your own risk.

► IN THE SPOTLIGHT: With at least six performances in a span of six days, there is plenty of time for shenanigans to go down both back and center stage. Time to show your mettle, and to hope that some asshole doesn't take all the best food items from the backstage catering tables before you can get to them.

► ATMOSPHERIC NOISE: If you dare brave the storm, there is a massive quantity of merch, vendor, and food booths available for your perusal. Many fans endeavor to spend as much time at Music Fest as possible, and so the space is very lived in, with large groups of people hanging out in well populated lounge areas. Depending on how popular you are, it may be difficult to get around without getting swarmed by your fans.

► DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER: And all the while, the strange memories continue. The label's newest members will have started to feel strange as of November 6th, and by the time of the Fest almost all of them will be discovering their first memories regains. The first one should be based on the alignment you chose, but the rest can be whatever you want. New character may regain up to 4 memories between their arrival and the end of November.

[ Squalo knows this too. A big part of the reason why he bothers with it, really. It's extra lovely when someone decides to bet against Genos. He's already scanning the crowd with his eyes, his usual sharky "I'm-up-to-no-good" grin in place. ]

Riled up some guy who thinks he can drink earlier. I'd bet he'll show up any moment now.

[If this guy really can drink, he gets to be vaguely worried about Squalo. He's definitely lost a few rounds.]

Yeah? Hope he puts up a fight.

[And here's the asshome Squalo enabled into this. So don't thank your sharky buddie just yet. Because god and everyone should already know Xanxus' reputation for drinking. Like the fact that it's rumored he has a second liver where his heart used to be or that his "beastman" biology makes it impossible for him to actually get drunk (thank you, stupid tabloids, he hasn't stopped laughing at that yet) So, yeah...he's hunting sharylocks and robutt down to have a Come to Jesus meeting...

Or a come to Jim, Jack and Jose...whichever J-name. Also please ignore the fact that he's probably going to enjoy the hell out of this because he really misses partying Heavy Metal style.]

Oh he will. Some trash said you were good. Well, let's see just how good.

[ Yeah Squalo will probably be out sooner or later. The other two might be evenly matched until their booze runs out, who knows. But obviously Squalo doesn't think so just yet, he thinks he's fucking got this. ]

Heh. Was starting to think you wouldn't show -- VOI!! I'm not 'some trash'!

[He'd punch the guy, but they'd already settled into their drinking game. Besides, Squalo is man enough to defend his own honor.]

We'll see who's the real trash by who's left standing.

[Honor, Sharky has honor? Really? Xanxus thinks their last toddler battle was proof that neither of them do but whatever. He's got a drinking contest to win and it doesn't matter that he's already started a while back.]

It will be me, little man. But it'll be fun to see you lose. [Utter confidence] So bring on those bottles.

[ He bristles and flashes some teeth in a less than friendly manner. ]

Hope you're not expecting a battle on beer, shithead.

[ It's not a real game unless it's 38% or higher, yanno. The fest might not readily offer that kind of alcohol... doesn't mean it can't get smuggled in. So, uh, yeah. Squalo's lugging one of his cello cases between them, and when he opens it, surprise, it's not an instrument inside but whiskey and vodka bottles. ]

[ Then he's digging in his pockets for coins. Finding three with different numbers, he'll mix them up and hold them out in two fists. ]

Five starts.

[Damn, he knew Squalo kept alcohol on him, but he didn't know he kept that much in his cello case.

Let's get this done. He'll pick Squalo's left hand.]

Get ready to lose.

[Doesn't matter to him who starts, he knows he'll win.]

[ Says you, robodude. Don't underestimate the power of a functional alcoholic when pride is on the line. ]

That's my line, shortstuff.

[ And he's got the right hand. ]

[ Well, the five is in the left hand... and so is another coin. So Squalo is going to maturely stick his tongue out at Xanxus, and reshuffle. ]

[ Second pick, Genos. ]

[He takes the other coin, leaving Squalo for the first spin.]

Alright. Let's get things started.

[ And he's taking the first bottle and happily spinning it... who shall it stop on? ]

[ Spin spin spin, Ding ding ding. We have a wiener. ]

Ha. Me. So rules are I have to drink the whole thing right?

[ If those aren't the rules, too damn bad because he's picking up the bottle to chug the fuck out of it. He doesn't even come up for air. Drinking straight whatever the hell it is like it's water. ]

Ahhh. That hit the spot! So....we spin again right.

[ A new bottle and new spin. ]

Nice.

[Genos is almost impressed- but for now he'll spin the bottle. And the lucky winner is Squalo!]

Man, and I wanted that drink.

[ How lucky. Squalo is used to winning the game (when he's not playing with Genos), which means that yes, he can take several bottles, but the fucking ease with which Xanxus chugs it down is a little intimidating. ]

[ Not like he'd ever admit that, though. ]

Heeeey, you'll get one soon enough.

[ He picks up the bottle -- why does it have to be fucking whiskey -- and starts drinking. He finishes it with relative ease, though he does spit to the side and wipe his mouth once he's done. ]

[ And then he takes a new one and spins it again. ]

Or maybe he just wants to skip the game and go right to the drinking. Ever thought of that, feccia. Because it cuts out the middle man and gets to the fun part.

[ Still, he'll watch the bottle go round and round and if it hits him, he'll down it too. Just like water. They're going to need more alcohol if this is even going to work. ]
