After that photoshoot Xie An organized that left most the band frustrated and annoyed (including Tamara, and she's actually a goth off-time) she immediately called up the shirtless (and fit as all hell) older man caught her top hat about some... relaxation. Sure December was beginning so it certainly wasn't swimsuit season, but they can enjoy the beach anyway. The waves still come and go, even with winter approaching.

Bundled up in suitable winter clothes, but with a swimsuit underneath. (You never know, this date could possibly end at a pool or even a hot tub.) She follows the directions Jecht gave her to the beach and hopes to find him there.

"Then it sounds like I need to get you somewhere warm. And maybe fed out of the deal, huh?" Gentlemanly enough, though the two didn't necessarily go together. Even on a cold night, the beach had stands and shops nearby where people could go to grab a bite if they wanted. But Jecht's willing to do whatever the lady wishes.

"I tell you what..." Her voice low and beckoning. "Find me a warm place with water and maybe you'll see my swimsuit." Maybe a little bit more.

"You're pretty persuasive when you want to be." They could always go find a hotel and use the swimming pool there. Of course, that might give the wrong impressions all around... but given that kiss? Maybe not.

So sure, he knew how to play this, which was play like he was a big naive kid who only wanted to take her to the hotel for the swimming, unless he didn't need to. So he offered her an arm, faintly damp though it may be. "I think I know a place."

She gladly grabs his arm. "Well, show me."

"So I gotta ask you something," Jecht said in a different tone of voice -- he couldn't keep up the intimate attitude all the time, not and actually manage to accomplish anything but unsubtle suggestion. "Couple places on the 'net seem to think you've got an interesting musical past."

Tamara gives him a little look that spells mischief. "Just what sort of interesting, Jecht?"

The drummer arched his eyebrows right back at her. "Less gothic. Less classical. A bit... wilder."

"I've been in all kinds of bands before Crown of Thorns, in nearly all positions except for drums and non-bass guitar. Punk, Industrial, Metal, Grunge, hell the first band I joined when I was seventeen was a all girl band." Ever wonder where half Tamara's fanbase comes from? They are the faithful that have followed from band to band along the years.

"In a way it's like returning to my roots, classical is my foundation. As for the style? Well, it's closet to how I dress and my aesthetics off-stage."

Is experience a turn on for Jecht?

"Ha! I wasn't gonna believe it for sure till I heard it." His arm tightened beneath her hand like he was trying to lock her down and pull her in. Guess that was a 'yes', huh? "You know how stuff gets exaggerated or made up. Guess things that are too good to be true can be real sometimes!"

His excitement does make her giggle and comes closer to him. "You were hoping for it?"

"You kidding? Of course I was. That's great. Means you and me got shared history there." He brought a fist around for a bump, still keeping her hand tucked on his arm. "I've been playing for years, too, trying to hit it big. Plus your discography's awesome with all that in it."

And she gives him his little fistbump, smiling. "Like to tell me something Jecht?"

"You're hot as hell." Jecht nodded decisively. "I mean you don't need me to tell you that, but you have cred. That's something special."

"You've told me that before, baby. I just need something answered." But she like the worship nonetheless.

"What made you decide on metal as your music of playing choice?"

"The sound. The noise. Can't tell you what it is, but something about it just reaches in and grabs me. Like I'm pouring out of my own skin when I hear it. In a... good way, not like I'm bleeding or anything." Asking Jecht to express something that required a skillful use of words and general coherence was pretty much doomed to failure.

The description was pretty nice even though if one thinks about it makes no goddamn sense. But hey, she respects it. "Love for the music?"

"Well sure, you bet, but it's more than that. Like even if I hated it I'd still feel it. You ever hooked up with someone you couldn't stand because they were just so damn hot? Guess the best way of saying it is that I can't keep it in my pants for metal."

"This makes me wonder about your... disposition at concerts. Are you turned on at the drum kit?" Note, metal is a aphrodisiac to him.

"It's not literal!" Jecht protested. "I'm just sayin' it's LIKE that."

"Ok then but if I see come away from your drum set with something showing through your pants, you'll be lying.~" Tamara teases.

"Hey, one thing can happen at the same time as the other. Maybe there's a really hot girl in the front row who got her goods out!"

"That could happen at one of your shows." What with her sons rampant suggestive playing and Jechts rampant shirtlessness and raw sexuality.

"Yeah, it could. Sometimes it even does. Which means you can't confuse the two!"

"I guess so." Tamara sighs in disappointment.

"How am I supposed to know the kink you have when you're so Vanilla, Jecht?"

"What, you haven't got a clue yet? Here's a hint: showers, bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, beaches..." Come on, Tamara. Jecht wasn't a hard man to read.
