Is Friday Surviving?

Who: Surviving Friday and Whoever wants to deal with their brand of crazy

Warnings: Ryouta really loves basketball.

There's a sign that was put all over Vrigo HQ. It's made in Photoshop and is Very Simple (Kise has no artistic talent whatsoever). Blue, with a picture of a basketball imprinted with the Virgo Unicorn in the center, white lettering above the basketball reads; "VIRGO ENTERTAINMENT CHARITY BASKETBALL EVENT". Under the ball states that it's company wide event, and everyone's invited to apply, and you're interested please contact Ryouta Kise at either his e-mail at R.Kise@virgoentertainment.vgo or to call him at 1-555-877-6487. [Ugh, Tsuna has not been looking forward to this conversation with their manager, but has to tell him sooner or later. The money aside, he can't go for long without an ID. So he sighs, and nervously approaches.]

Um, My wallet...got stolen. At the music fest. Sorry...

[He receives exactly the lecture he expects, 'how could you be so careless? do you really think I have time to deal with things like this? etc. Tsuna apologizes again, tries to explain himself, and accepts the lecture with as much grace as he can. It's not like he wanted some terrifying guy to threaten him and take his wallet. But he's also not going to argue with their manager. That's never a good idea.

Once the lecture ends and Yama leaves, Tsuna plops down on the couch with a sigh.]

[Kise walks over with several bags of chips, hummus, and sour cream dip and sits next to Tsuna]

Want some chips?

[He sets the bags on the counter and opens the dips and hummus]

You know who stole your wallet? We should call the police about it. And call the bank and get the cards cancelled if you had any.

[Tsuna shakes his head as he reaches for a chip.]

I don't know his name, but I think it was one of the Pride guys. Big, spiky black hair, scars on his face. He was really scary.

[Actually, Xanxus is pretty distinctive, so Tsuna is really sure he'd know him if he ever saw him again. He... really hopes never to see him again.]

Mr. Darzi said he'd take care of replacing everything and canceling my cards though.

[Yes, Tsuna does still call their manager Mr. Darzi.]

[Ryouta stills at the description. He can't even go into denial because this is in character for Xanxus

He pulls out his phone and opens up his album, and brings up a picture of Xanxus from the BassOFF]

Was this him?

[His tone is so, very, very tired]

[Tsuna nearly chokes on the chip he's eating. Wow, Ryouta came up with that fast!]

Y-yeah! That's him!

[But then the tired tone registers and Tsuna asks cautiously.]

Um, do you know him?

[He sighs]

I'm... sorta... um...

[He puts his face in his hands]

I'm sleeping with him.

[For a minute he wants to slam his head on the table, but he just keeps his face covered while he takes a deep breath.

Then dimly, he realizes this is really the first time he told anyone that he and Xanxus are... friends with benefits?]

He's an asshole, I'm sorry.

[He stands, ruffles Tsuna's hair and begins to dial Xanxus] I can get your wallet back. Or, well, I'll try.

[Except... it goes to voicemail. That's odd. He leaves a voice mail to call him back and rejoins Tsuna on the couch. And proceeds to stuff his mouth with chips angrily.]

[It takes a second for what Ryouta said to sink into his brain. At which point he cannot even help the way his mouth drops open in shock.]

EHH?? But you're ... so nice! And he's-!

[That's really the most shocking part. Because Xanxus was mean, violent, and scary, and Ryouta is this friendly, kind, big-brother type. But Tsuna cuts himself off with a hand over his mouth as he realizes how rude that sounds.]

Um, sorry...

[It's not really his business. And now he feels like he's put Ryouta in a bad position with someone he obviously cares about. What if they get in a fight about this? This Xanxus guy wouldn't get violent with someone he was going out with, would he? Disclaimer: Tsuna is still innocent enough to assume that sleeping with=dating.]

[Ryouta gives Tsuna a smile]

You can say it. He's an asshole.

[He dips a pita chip into the hummus] He's... nice to me. But, well, I haven't... [He sighs. Man, Xanxus was making him sigh in all the wrong ways]

He's fond of me, as much as he can be, I think.

[He leaned back, thinking.]

Hey, don't feel bad about this. You're my band mate. I've got your back, even if it's from someone I'm [He waves his hand dismissively] you know.

[Is he going to have to explain the concept of Friends with Benefits? Because, uh, that would be awkward.]

[Tsuna relaxes a little and smiles back.]

He is a jerk...

[But he's willing to accept that people act differently around different people. And he tries. Really, really hard, to give Xanxus the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he just caught him at a really bad time. Maybe he really does just have a serious thing against spilled beer. He's trying. If someone like Ryouta likes him, there must be a different side to the man.

Right?

And there's definitely a warm, fuzzy feeling that anyone would stand up for him- Tsuna's not used to that. He really appreciates it.]

[But...]

But maybe it's better to just let this go. I don't want to cause problems between you and your boyfriend.

[Ryouta nearly chokes on his chips at that. He pounds on his chest a few times, swallows and then gives Tsuna a bewildered look.]

He's not my-

[Then, his eyes go wide. Oh. Crap. He takes a breath.]

He's not my boyfriend. He's a friend. With benefits.

[Though he wouldn't mind being Xanxus' boyfriend]

Do you know what that means?

[Tsuna can feel the heat rising in his cheeks as his brain slowly starts catching up to the conversation.]

Umm...

[He's innocent, but not stupid. It takes a minute, but he's putting it together.]

It's... um.... then you're not dating him?

No.

[He scratches the back of his head awkwardly.]

It, um, never really came up? [That sounded lame, even if it's true. Xanxus tends to distract him with touches and kisses which dispels a lot of Ryouta's rational thought]

I like him, he's fun. But let's be real; Xanxus isn't the type to date. [At least that's what he tells himself. He's got it bad for Xanxus. It's probably obvious know that he's talking about it. It's just sometimes Xanxus says or does something that makes Ryouta fall a little more.]

But yeah, we're, uh, not exclusive or anything.

Do you want to date him?

[It's the fact that Ryouta seems so smitten with Xanxus that pulls that question out of Tsuna. It's only afterward that he realizes how blunt that was.]

I- I mean, I know it's not my business, but...maybe you should talk to him about it...

[Xanxus doesn't seem like the type to settle down exactly, but he might not be opposed to a more romantic relationship.]

[Ryouta chews slowly on a chip.]

I... yeah. I do.

[It's really complicated Tsuna. Jeez, don't ask him hard questions. He fidgets and looks down]

But at the same time I don't know if I do?

I guess this kind of thing is always complicated. I don't really know a whole lot about dating.

[More like he knows nothing about dating. Tsuna has never been on a date with anyone in his life.]

But as long as you're happy and he's happy, that's the important thing right?

I... yeah.

[He sighs and stuffs more food in his mouth. Food solves everything if you're a teenage boy]

[That's a sound theory. Tsuna also dips another chip in the hummus and then leans back against the couch. Maaybe it's time to talk about something that doesn't involve stolen wallets or relationships or Xanxus. Or all of the above.]

So... do you wanna watch a movie?

[They have such a fancy tv and blu ray player and whatnot, it's a shame not to take advantage of it once in a while.]

[Yes, good time for that]

What do you wanna watch?

[He looks over at the small book case with dvds on it. He has various basketball games on dvd. Air Bud, and other cute basketball movies, some musicals, a lot of Disney]

[He looks over the shelf. Well, you really can't go wrong with Disney.]

How about The Rescuers?

[~~I would've suggested The Lion King if their other thread hadn't taken place after this one. But they should still cover that song because that's really funny.~~]

[He gets up to put the DVD in the player, then settled back down to enjoy the movie.]

[It's a cute movie. And they way poor Bernard is constantly dragged into things that scare him against his will garners a lot sympathy from Tsuna. For some reason...

OOC:We can end it there, if you want. Just assume they eat chips and watch adorable mice rescue an orphan from a crazy lady.]
