☆TRACK IIX: BETTER TO PRETEND PT. 2

What: Hit gameshow series “Fairy Trial” is celebrating one of its anniversaries, and it’s invited you onboard. Check out the OOC post for IC match ups!

Where: Sevetop Entertainment’s studio.

No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination. Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone. “We kill the lights and put on a show. It's all a lie, but you'd never know. The star will shine, And then it will fall, And you will forget it all.”

[Fortunately, there is no pink dress (or even a dress) in sight for Luci. Her assigned stylist apparently decided not to tangle with the singer who tethered herself to a moving flatbed to give a concert, and provided her with something that is definitely her speed.]

[Luci looks like a very decent Prince Charming, all things considered. Enough buttons to choke a horse and a fancy swordbelt to match. It did make her wonder, though, if she'd be required to use it at some point or if it was just for show. Nobody had explained exactly what she was supposed to do yet. Kick back and wait for the patsy to come along and save her, apparently.]

[She's in and out of costume and makeup quickly, clearly used to the routine, and then parks herself to the side where she finds a chair to manspread into. The sword gets in the way briefly, so she takes it out of the scabbard and starts playing around with it. It's just a prop, she's not going to hurt anybody with it, obviously.]

[Usagi was unhappy, she had always been able to fight crime in a mini-skirt but they shoved her into some hero suit that wasn't even a tuxedo. They could at least given her that. She sighed as she was walking towards the set...

When there was suddenly, of course, a sword hitting her in the head. She suddenly clutched her forehead and gave a soft "why" because such was her luck when it came to making herself look like a fool.]

Shit! Are you okay?

[Of course somehow she'd managed to whap somebody with her prop-- though it probably had more to do with the person she'd smacked instead of her own skill with a fake sword.]

[Luci stands up and goes to check to see if Lesedi is going to take a lawsuit out of her ass too, when she notices who it is.]

Well well, if it isn't my little puff pastry.

[She offered a thumbs up and then sighed. Such was her luck. She looked up then and as she saw it was Luci, slightly red in the face, she offered a bright smile.]

You look amazing! Ah... yeah, I'm okay... it... well, that isn't common but I'm a massive klutz so stuff like that happens all the time. I'm fine, I promise.

[Nobody put this girl and Dino in the same vicinity, something might explode.]

[Luci smirks and helps herself to combing through Usagi's bangs to make sure she hasn't left a mark. Just because it happens all the time doesn't mean that it's not going to injure her.]

Plenty of things around to trip and fall over, darling, you'd best watch your step around here before someone has to play your hero. Not that I'd mind...

[Probably.

But she smiles, letting Luci touch her without any issue, still smiling up at her. While she's red, she's uninjured, but she's always been physically affectionate.]

Ah, tell me about it. It could be the slightest crack in the sidewalk and with my luck I'll find it. But I'll be a good hero! If I need to save someone I'm going to... klutzy and all. Though I bet people would love to be rescued by you, Miss Luci!

[Surprisingly, somehow Luci believes that even as klutzy as this girl is, she's probably going to do everything she can to rescue her very unlucky musician-royal. Luci grins and finishes fixing Usagi's hair.]

Of course they would. I'm physically fit, clever, and incredibly handsome.

You are! And don't forget really kind! I'll cheer you on! [She bounced, which didn't quite fit the outfit they gave her as it was more refined and she was bubbly ball of sunshine. Unfortunately, Usagi is too used to being the one saving others, honestly.]

Kind? [Luci actually looks stunned by that, and then she bursts out laughing.] Oh, you really don't believe everything you read, do you? Or do you just ignore the tabloids?

I make my own opinions on people once I meet them, and the person tabloids talk about doesn't exist.

[Wow. Luci's sure that a lot of her fellow musicians would find that charming and endearing, but Luci's case is just a little different.]

I'll tell you now, you can trust about eighty percent of what they print about me. I probably would start a cult if I had the chance, honestly...

[She laughed and waved a hand in front of her.]

Ah, well, then I guess you can tell me all about it, though ah- I won't be joining it, sorry. Uh, what is true then?

[Serena's declining of an invitation to Luci's personal cult is apparently hilarious, because she laughs like Serena just told a joke.]

Come on, we'll have cookies...?

[She'll get to the truth in a bit if she can't distract with food.]

Cookies?! [She loves food! Well, of course she does, Luci took her on a date, she'd know that better than anyone.] Can have the cookies even if I don't join? [She laughed.]

[Luci laughs too, tapping Serena's nose with a finger.] Ah-ah, if I gave everybody cookies without joining my cult, I'd be out a lot of cookies and have nobody to do my terrifying human sacrifices with.

[guess who's positively glowing in their outfit, Luci? it's this guy- well, this one dressed as that guy. Shen peers at Luci's sword curiously, not a weapon in sight in their outfit.

I get a sword. [She teases, posing a little with the pretty awesome prop.] You look proud as a peacock, though. Puff up a little for me, I need something cute in my life today.

I haven't seen anybody from Virgo in a while. How've you been, Shen?

[there's a little huff that's probably more for show than anything else as he settles back down, and his smile...falters. that's not really for show. the smile he tries to put back on is, but...]

I'm okay. VIP's getting a little small, but...we're getting by.

[Her mouth twitches in a sympathetic and sad smile.] Yeah. I know the feeling. We got another guitarist, but... still no drummer.

Did you see that they're starting to write tabloids about how we just eat through musicians like tire tread on a racetrack? [There's an attempt at a snort, but it just comes out bitter.] Like we have a say in it or something.

[If she did, they would still have Alec and Wakana, Poe and Fetch...]

...I didn't think it'd ever be like this. I mean, I didn't think it'd be easy, but...

[Someone's been thinking about this too. She's a rockstar, she wants to perform, she doesn't want that taken away.]

[he nods at that. considering how close he was to getting kicked out, he's terrified to think of what happens if he messes up again. if he doesn't keep shaped up if....]

[Luci gives Shen a sideways, judging look before reaching out and dragging the small musician into her.] How long have we been apart? Has it really been so long that you've lost every single vertibrae I so painstakingly installed?
