☆TRACK IIX: BETTER TO PRETEND PT. 2

What: Hit gameshow series “Fairy Trial” is celebrating one of its anniversaries, and it’s invited you onboard. Check out the OOC post for IC match ups!

Where: Sevetop Entertainment’s studio.

No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination. Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone. “We kill the lights and put on a show. [ Guy was just on stage with that hot blonde a couple hours ago and rumor has it he even kissed her, and this is what he has to say to you Squalo. ]

[ Seriously, Roy. You have a goddamn bombshell "rescue" you and you come up to your bandmate to talk about his food habits instead of oh I don't know getting a BJ in the washroom or something. Wow. ]

[ Squalo stares at him for a moment while chewing on the salmon, almost thoughtfully. ]

[ Squalo did you learn nothing about the type of people these two are from your earlier conversation with 'Elizabeth?' ]

[ They're heavily repressed and need to get laid like yesterday? Yeah he's learned more than he wanted to, thanks. ]

[ Now, he should probably point out it's a joke and mechanics don't matter, but he's got some mommy issues so he's just going to scowl instead. ]

And with your shark-reputation the directors should have put you into a fish-related story. What a missed opportunity! Would that have made the experience better for you?

[ Look, he would, but he doesn't have that much free time. It's a maximum of like three aquarium visits a week for him. He snorts. ]

Maybe. They've put me in fish-related photoshoots, though. It was awesome.

I hear your trial went pretty great.

[ Squalo hasn't seen the footage, or has he? Roy's head fills with suggestions of what Squalo might attempt to tease him about. The costume? The Ballerina origin of his character?Inappropriate comment about Riza's body? The phone number? Was the kiss too chaste in his opinion?

His expression flatlines. What will it be? ]

[ Leans in a little with an expectant look on his face. Even if he hasn't seen the footage he can smell them sparks flying, okay. ]

The director said we'd make excellent actors.

[ Will that explain away the kiss? ]

[ Sighs like he's putting up with something extremely unpleasant, and drags a hand down his face. ]

Don't tell me you didn't make arrangements with her.

It turns out she already has my phone number. If she really wants to meet again, she'll call me.

[ Yeah that's it. ]

[ Roy shakes his head. Somehow he's not surprised Squalo is that dense and that self-absorbed. ]

You can't assume every woman- or person- you meet is interested in you. When you make sexual remarks to those who aren't interested, it's unwelcome to say the least.

[ The sad part is that there's not an ounce of irony in it when he says that. ]

But hey, don't worry, I know she's yours. [ Because the only time you don't grossly push yourself on women is if they have a man, obviously. Shit-eating grin commences. ] I hear you kissed her on camera.

Right. So some people can not be your type but you're magically EVERYONE's type. That way of thinking could very well do more damage to your love life than help it.

[ No no Squalo, let's talk about you! ]

A small kiss that will hardly turn the heads of the paparazzi. It's really not that big a deal.

[ More like he doesn't think it's your business and it's a big deal to Roy personally but he's not ready to talk to you about it. (Will he ever be? Ah the mystery.) ]

Well obviously. There's always fugos and losers lusting after the same gorgeous pieces of dick as the rest of them. Why the hell should I be into that?

[ Yes good, tell him more about the kiss. He raises his eyebrows a bit when Roy says it's not a big deal. A small kiss? That's it? ]

[ OF COURSE anyone disinterested in him automatically isn't interesting. Assuming Squalo was kidnapped just like he was, Roy has to wonder what Squalo's regular way of life is and if it involves so much vanity.

Is it worthwhile to point out to someone like Squalo that some things are more important than an active sex life? Squalo's last remark puts the brakes on Roy's thoughts and earns a sputtering embarrassed snap reaction. ]

N- No! I'm a gentleman! And that's hardly appropriate for a show like Fairy Trials!

[ *disinterested or not conventionally attractive enough. His regular life doesn't really have much to do with vanity, though. It's all in his personality. He's kind of the human embodiment of Sin of Pride and all. ]

[ He shuts his mouth and bites his tongue. No no don't say that much, you'll only give Squalo more to use against you. Sometimes righteous speech-giving is a disadvantage. ]

[ Roy thinks of a few different things to say back but he concludes that silence is the better choice and he keeps his mouth firmly shut. He does start to go red though. More from embarrassment or anger? It's anyone's guess. ]

[ How cute. It's a well-known fact that Squalo has no survival instinct, because he's totally continuing in a mock higher-pitched tone. ]

[ Several punishments are already starting to line up in Roy's head, including giving Riza a call to ask if she has a gun on her. ]
