What: Naomi Rivers throws a terrible holiday party.

Where: Naomi's ocean side mansion.
Warnings: Violence, poisoning, various murder attempts, mind control, general uncomfortable lack of consent. Also, probably drug use. Maybe sex? Who knows what you'll get up to.

“I will burn for you; Feel pain for you. I will twist the knife and bleed my aching heart, And tear it apart.” ☆I WILL TWIST THE KNIFE  The first two hours of the solstice party are surprisingly normal. Members of both labels arrive by private sky shuttle, and are invited into the ballroom for food and drink. It’s even more surprising when both Lesedi Santiago and Edward Blanche arrive as well, and spent most of that first period speaking quietly in a nearby lounge area. Lesedi’s body guards and Juno watch the space around them, keeping anyone of lesser important from interrupting what looks to be quite the serious discussion. After food, the ballroom stage is taken over by a number of increasingly impressive entertainment pieces. It seems to be obligatory for everyone to stay and watch (not that it’s a struggle – the talent involved is unmistakeable), but not long into it Lesedi and Edward can be seen disappearing outside together, and show no immediate signs of returning. And that’s when Naomi Rivers takes the stage. To the Virgo that have heard it before, the song is more viscerally familiar than anything you’ve only heard once should be, and it awakens the ideas that were implanted there the night before. You have a job to do here, tonight. One that is only fair – almost righteous. Lesedi Santiago and her ilk will suffer for her transgressions. The performances end, and everyone is released out to the rest of the grounds, to mingle and celebrate at their leisure. While things may seem civil on the surface, beneath that something dark is brewing. You gradually begin to notice that almost none of the more veteran members of either label are present. ► BALLROOM: The central nexus of the party, the ballroom is the location of the buffet table, the stage, and the dance floor. There will be music available all night, even after the official “performances” have ended. There are tables set up around the edges of the room for eating and relaxing. ► LOUNGE: Where Lesedi and Edward were having their meeting earlier, the lounge is filled with comfortable chairs, classic art, and a large, ornate fireplace. If you figure out who to ask, there are a number of chemical vices available to all guests. ► BALCONIES: There is a generous series of balconies that line the exterior of the upper floor. The ocean can be seen from one side and the gardens can be seen from the other. ► GUEST ROOMS: Down the halls from the ballroom there are a few generous guest bedrooms that have been left open for use. ► GARDENS: Out towards the back there are a wide variety of plants, and a well kept stone path and manmade waterfall. The plant life is on the sedate side due to the winter, but it’s still green. ► OUTDOOR POOL: There’s a pool out front with a shallow and a deep end. The water is clear and artificially warmed. ☆OOC CONSIDERATIONS Please remember that any attempted assassinations are meant to remain covert, and if your character is incapable of being stealthy then you must assume that any attempts you make are happening towards the end of the evening – let’s say around 11PM. The spell compelling people to do this does not want a riot or a bloodbath – what it wants is for people to die before the rest of the group can realize that anything is even going on. Of course, this isn’t exactly going to work out, but if you are finding yourself getting into the realm of intense physical violence you might want to stop and slow down a little.Virgo members that didn’t hear the song the night before are free from any compulsions, and so are all members of Pride. If non-mind controlled characters start clueing in to what’s going on and start trying to evacuate in large numbers, that is where you’ll want to wrap up threads and wait for Part 2 of the log, which will contain the end results and will be triggered by any large amount of chaos. If any characters attempt to escape earlier in the evening, they’ll find that the shuttles have all been grounded, and wandering in the woodland nearby just seems to result in them getting lost and ending up back at the mansion. It’s a real pickle. If you’ve got any question about what’s going on please leave them on the original plot post and they’ll get answered! The opt out event will be posted ASAP. “I will lie for you; Beg and steal for you. I will crawl on hands and knees until you see: You're just like me.” |
Lenneth Valkyrie (Meril)| OTA
As usual, Meril played the wallflower during this whole feast. She had gained friends in recent months, to her surprise, but even now, Virgo's Ice Queen still had no real clue how to socialize, nor did it often occur to her to approach people she didn't know. Besides, she was very worried, to the extent that one could even catch her frowning or looking quite unhappy when her inner monologue twisted too far around into darker corners.
If she was being graded as a host, she would have failed. Luckily, the Ice Queen was supposed to be aloof.
After the song.
The compulsion had taken root, the seeds slowly sprouting inside her mind, but Meril and 'impulse' were antonyms. The thoughts, to be acted on, had to blossom over the course of hours to really compel.
So for now, Meril stood on a balcony, all dark and brooding and downright cinematic in her presentation, as her thoughts wounded darker and darker and her jaw clenched quietly, as did her fingers on the railing.
Late night.
She had to find someone. She had to stop someone. She had to do this, had to prove herself, had to take them down, had to had to had to--
A large candlestick in her hand, the keyboardist stalked the halls, trying desperately to find a Pride member, any Pride member, alone.

Jecht! OTA!
Saying someone had a 'rock star' persona in a gathering like this might be literally redundant, but Jecht embodied it nonetheless. At a shindig like this, he did nothing small. Plates heaped full of food that he balanced one-handed so he could give friends, labelmates, and anyone he wanted a slap across the back as a greeting. A loud laugh and a tendency to tell stories at a carrying volume. A broad smile and a general love of, well everything right now. That was Jecht for you.
Outdoor pool.
The great thing about being Jecht was wearing long shorts that doubled as swim trunks. Seriously, nothing was better than just diving in water whenever and wherever you felt like it. He's gotten a ball from somewhere -- who knew where! -- and busied himself shouting at anyone who came nearby to come on in and play a game. In the meantime, he busied himself by spinning it on his finger or rolling it down his arm and over his shoulders...
Wondering all the while how he could possibly remember doing stuff like this before.

Maybe Jecht was hunting a particular lady to dance with... or maybe this was where the food was. Interestingly, whichever one he was most obviously doing, he always claimed he was here for the other, without shame.
Foul play from the Virgo members? The idea never even crossed his mind.

BAI SHEN || OTA who want a stabbin'
Shen hardly did semi-formal; when he had the opportunity to, he dressed up, and did so without any sort of shame or shyness. That in itself didn't get him over his natural shyness, but...he at least liked how he looked. And that counted for something, didn't it?
Sticking to the outskirts of the party - or the few people he was comfortable with - he found himself dearly wishing for his camera. There were just some people here who made him look like...well, nothing, and he itched to save those images. Instead, he resolved to memorize how they looked, perhaps staring far too long at one person or another than what would have been considered polite. Whenever noticed, however, he was quick to look away, some color creeping in to his cheeks as he tried to move off without getting in to trouble.
POST-PERFORMANCE
It wasn't that trouble was suddenly all the more appealing; it was that he found sharing space with them utterly unbearable.
They didn't belong here. They didn't belong here. They weren't- they were nothing, and they didn't deserve any of this. Not like he and the others from Virgo, who had worked for it all - how dare Pride come here?!
He wasn't used to anger. Or resentment- well, no, he knew that one. He'd never known it like this, though, where it filled his mouth and mind and just...just...!
His hands may have been shaking when they palmed a few knives, but shoving them in to his pockets kept them hidden enough. As for him, hurrying through the halls, trying to get some air? Well, maybe he wasn't hidden, but...
No. He did need to be. He couldn't be seen. Nobody could know. Nobody could...
Nobody...
Nobody would stop him.

She runs right into Shen while looking down-- it's uncharacteristic for her to not be paying attention, she jumps a little.
"Fuck--" she exhales and takes note of who she's run into. Oh.
"Sorry," she mutters, rolling her eyes and heading away. 'Personal Space' time for Shen, that's what he'd wanted, right?

With combined party planning, chatting up certain veteran Virgos, and the last minute shopping trip, it's frankly a miracle on Luce has any energy to still be going around.
Yet oh isn't she.
Funnily enough, she's not wearing her usual and preferred flowing dresses, but what looks to be a pretty sharp black suit! Classic, even. Feel free to approach and ask about it yourself... Assuming you aren't being approached by Hurricane Luce, all smiles and asking how you're enjoying the party.

Even Luce runs out of energy.
For those absorbed in the party, maybe it's easy to miss how Luce disappears from the scene after a while. She can be found on one of the balconies, whether by search or coincidence. She's leaning against the railing, looking out to the ocean. A song is being hummed.
"Well we're doing mighty fine I suppose... In our streak of lightning cars and fancy clothes..."
It doesn't seem to be FoB's usual genre... Although then again, some critics might argue that FoB's genre GPS is busted up, so perhaps this isn't too odd.

And then Naomi sings.
And things change.
Luce has friends in Pride. People she would probably adopt into her own family, if she could, like Sora and Tiger and others.
Yet as she listens, all of that seems to just... be wiped away. Of course they should get rid of Pride. It's only common sense. After everything the label has ever done- hell one only needs to look at Xanxus as the prime example.
On the surface, nothing changes. Luce just smiles.
And maybe she'll offer you a drink.
[ooc: First of all, here is Luce's plotting post in case you want to hit me up or see what she's up to! Second of all, even if you don't plan on having Luce make an attempt on your character, she's still handing out drugged drinks. Not poisoned ones, they just have some liquid sleeping aid in them if you want your character to be a little woozy during the proceedings.]
[And third- the plan so far is for Luce to drug Aramat, Jecht, and Jamie before trying to take out the boys after leading them away from the party. (Jecht by bludgeoning upside the head, Jamie with the more serious stabbing attempt) Yuffie will be the one subduing her for that latter one. The Psiioniic (Artolo Apemis) - ota
Yeah, he hates a lot of things right now.
It's a little harder to tell, considering he's flickering back and forth basically stealing all the dessert trays- call him on it, he dares you- and making ugly sniggers whenever any Virgo musician plays no matter how good they are. The mimic of a good time. However, his true feelings show when they're allowed freedom from the ballroom and he immediately leaves.
Since going back to Pride HQ isn't an option, one can find him at the edge of the pool glaring into the water with a drink in his hand. Probably only his bandmates would be able to guess why such a mercurial shift has taken place in comparison to the way he was at the Music Fest... And even then, they'd only be half right.
He's not really expecting to be bothered, honestly. He kind of knows he's been a dick to probably most people attending the party.

But it gets him outside, and that's something. It feels oddly familiar, having a job to do like this. Maybe several jobs? He's suddenly struck by the feeling of waiting at an identical booth in three different, near fantastical bits of scenery - and feeling incredibly bored by every one of them. Maybe he should snag one of the guest rooms and take a nap instead...
Except then he sees Artolo, just staring at the pool like a sucker. Maybe...well, he could try, right? Put the token effort in, make it look like he's working. If anyone asks, he can say he was the one that pushed that guy in the pool. He wonders if he can swim.
At any rate, Artolo isn't really given the chance to expect it when this tiny man strolls up and just bumps him into the pool.

Post performance, before Yuffie goes to be dumb
She stepped outside for a moment to text Maxxie or Luci or Luce or someone to try and get someone to talk her down from her stupid distracted head when some Virgo she barely knew tried to put a hand on her shoulder and direct her off in the direction of a quiet place. Yuffie very much was not in the mood, and her high top on their instep probably made her point well. Yuffie was in a bit of a flurry of movement, stomping her way back to the main party when she nearly walks right into Terry.
"Watch where you're going yo-...Ter." Yuffie's hair is sticking up more than normal like she's been running her fingers through it, and her fingers drum over the phone in her hand. "Sorry."

Mai | OTA
Parties are an old tradition with Mai, so to speak. Her parents loved going to them and having them as they tried to hobnob with those in the upper echelons of politics and money. And just like most of those, Mai doesn't really care much for this one. What had led her into coming in the first place was the oddity of it maybe. Pride members invited to a Virgo party? She was new to the business sure but it seemed a little off somehow for two labels in such stiff competition to mingle parties like this.
Who cares? A party is a party. Since when did you become curious? Mai can only sigh a little at her inner thoughts. There's a part of her that has been antsy since those moments of odd feelings and images before the festival. And it sure isn't being soothed by being at a party.
She spends a good deal of the party lost in her own thoughts, playing the wallflower her Ice Queen title deserves, a drink in hand as she tries to find some pleasure in the evening. At least she looks nice.
As the events wind down a little, she'll try to snag a drink to take with her into the lounge. In the end it's likely she'll bump into someone else trying to snag the same drink. Or perhaps she even bumps into someone when she eventually starts to leave the ballroom for the lounge. Accidents do happen after all.
The Balcony; Post-Performance
The most enjoyable part of the night so far has been the performances. Act after act, each better than the last one in her opinion. Naomi Rivers performance had seemed to cap them all off and Mai is still vaguely humming that final song to herself mentally as she wanders out onto one of the balconies facing out toward the ocean.
Despite the distance, tension still hums inside of her as much as that song hums away in her mind. She's been tense since she arrived honestly and for now she's more or less counting down the time until she shuttles return and she can make an escape. There's something in the air that she chalks up to part imagination, part previous tension and a helping portion of the drinks she's had this evening.
In the end the violinist sighs out and turns sideways to rest a hip against the balcony railing. At least the ocean air is cooling and the evening outside is nice enough.

UNDYNE - OTA
After the performance, Undyne is restless. She knows she has to take care of something, but she also knows she can't draw too much attention – and not even musical brainwashing is enough to make Undyne sneaky.
So she has to wait. Sooner or later, she reasons, the right opportunity will present herself. In the meantime, you can find her sitting at one of the tables in the ballroom, one leg bouncing as she stabs at the food she's retrieved from the buffet with a vengeful fork, or pacing the rest of the venue with the air of a caged animal. Either way she seems particularly impatient and irritable. Running into her in a more secluded corner of the mansion as a Pride musician probably isn't going to end well, especially if it's later in the evening.

BALCONY
She gets distracted on one of the balconies, suddenly struck by the feeling that the sight of the ocean is still new and profoundly thrilling. The thought seems incongruous to her for a moment or two, but – well... maybe she didn't see it at all before she came to Vista? Right – of course, she lived too far from the coast before that. Obviously. Inland. Somewhere dark.
The explanation feels kind of hollow, but Undyne's pretty sure it's true. You don't just forget where you grew up, right?
She stares out at the sea for a while, trying not to think about it.
OUTDOOR POOL
Okay, now this is a great distraction from how antsy she's feeling. Undyne is a natural swimmer, although she can't remember that fact crossing her mind any time recently–? Well, never mind. The point is it is great because being in a swimming pool means she can charge around and aggress people by splashing them or throwing pool toys around without it being unwarranted violence that would break her cover. If you're in the pool – or standing too near it – you're probably going to fall victim to her attempting to burn off some of the impatient, violent energy that Naomi's song has left her with – but, hey, it beats falling victim to it outside the pool, and she's definitely in a much better mood.
BALCONY
He'd asked for this, he keeps trying to remind himself. He asked to have something back that he'd lost, but he had no idea it would be this. Why is he shrinking? What does that mean? What kind of person has a rock embedded in them?
He wanted more than anything to stay home, that night. Being at an event like this just leaves more and more opportunities to have someone discover his secret. The best he could do was wear one of his shirt dresses and leggings underneath.
He notices Undyne out there when he approaches the railing. He's so on edge, he notices everyone around him, but he knows that she's Virgo and it immediately makes him uncomfortable. Yet, the increasingly small combative part of him insists in staying out there anyway, pushing the idea that he can do whatever he wants and that they can't stop him.
He leans on the railing and stares out at the ocean, feeling homesick for a place he can't quite remember.

G-O-D this party blows.
Luci hadn't been too thrilled when she'd been informed of this 'Mandatory Solstice Party' thrown by Virgo, and to be honest she suspected some kind of lame cross-label rivalry bullshit to be at the center of the entire night. Something subtle in a shade of 'We're Better, Fuck You'. But she couldn't exactly stand up to Camilla, so there she was at the wonderful mandatory party. At the very least she'd be able to see some of her Virgo darlings.
Dancing is fun, at least. Before the performances begin, Luci worms her way into the middle of the floor where she immediately starts turning heads-- whether it's because of her suit or her moves varies.

She's definitely tempted by the cocaine. The party is that boring. But that nervous voice in the back of her head tells her that unless she wants to put holes in her brain, she'll just chainsmoke for a little bit.
Luci kicks up her legs over the arms of one of the comfy chairs and makes herself comfortable in front of the fireplace. She goes to flick some ash onto the hearth when she sees Blanche and Santiago, talking. Huh. Weird.
...is it just her, or is it really hot in front of the fireplace suddenly?

After the performance, Luci feels a certain tension start to invade the ballroom. People seem less jovial, less alcohol is being consumed and more seems to be being passed on to others, it's like they're waiting for something.
She needs some air-- too much business in too small of a room. Luci gets a water from the bar and takes it outside to the gardens, loosening her tie and unbuttoning her top button as she walks. It's just too stuffy inside a house with hundreds of people. Huh, sounds like there's a waterfall somewhere out there too...

This party officially blows. It's getting too wild for her to put up with, and everyone is behaving like an asshole (three people tried to push open drinks on her. Three! What, do they think she's never been to a fucking bar?). Where the hell is Ankh? He said he'd be coming, and he's the only one who isn't behaving like a dick.
Of course the service in the house sucks so she goes outside to one of the balconies to hold her phone out into the sky like she's trying to hitchhike with whatever flying saucer will take her out of this place.
Meanwhile, someone is frustrated Luci keeps refusing drinks, so here he comes-- tall, goth, and skinny, but if he gets a good start he can push her straight off that balcony. He's moving, with purpose.

[ Squalo doesn't miss the way she looks at the powder, but he's pleased when she does the smart thing and doesn't take it... yet. He'll trail after her, and lean one arm on the back of the chair she's draped herself across. ]
Bored too, huh. Good call, though, never take something than can kill you from a rival company.

Entering the foyer of the mansion with a group of other Pride artists, Jamie utters a low whistle. This Naomi person must do pretty well for herself to own a place like this - he always thought the Flashstep suite was luxurious, but Naomi's mansion makes it look like a flophouse in comparison. For a split second he feels out of place, almost intimidated - but he quickly shakes it off and puts on his best "I totally belong here and this is no big deal" face. He is a mature professional who absolutely deserves to be attending a party in the personal home of a powerful, famous, hoity-toity Virgo bigshot, and he is going to prove that Pride Records is not just some dumping ground for the crude and the low-class. Time to get out there and - holy shit that statue over there totally looks like a butt.
Jamie runs right up to it and takes a picture of it with his phone. "Dude, look at this thing!" he says. Well, giggles.
B - JAMIE WANDERS BLINDLY INTO DANGER:
The evening's entertainment has actually been pretty good, and Naomi herself is quite the spellbinder - she's clearly earned her status and prestige. The entire gathering seems energized by her performance, and Jamie can understand why. It must be the same kind of inspiration he felt talking with Ryouta that one time - speaking of whom, Jamie hasn't seen Ryouta all night, which is weird. Much more worryingly, Sora's been AWOL too and Jamie's been unable to get more than a perfunctory text out to him at the start of the evening. Maybe one or the other of them has gotten here in the meantime and Jamie's just overlooked them; it couldn't hurt to go looking one more time, and he's feeling a little restless anyway. He gets himself a drink and starts weaving his way through the crowd.
"Where the hell are they?" he grouses at some point, not entirely to himself.

Xanxus hadn't wanted to come. He hates "mandatory" anything. He shows his displeasure at being forced to be here in the most mature way possible. That sure is a Solstice Sweater he's wearing and those Winter Bears sure are fucking on it. He wants to be anywhere else. Mostly because there's a dance floor and he's still fucked up and can't really cut loose. Hell, he's even been given a cane to get around with. He about shoved it up his manager's ass but now he's standing at the edge of the ballroom, leaning on that cane watching the others.
He hasn't been this bored since... well since he was a really young boy and went to his first society function. He can still feel his father's hands on his small shoulders as he is "presented" for the first time. He can remember the sea of disbelieving faces and the whispers about the old man still having it, to sire a bastard child. He remembers standing in front of the throne and feeling a swell of pride in his chest when his father announces him for everyone.
Friends. Family. I am a very proud father today. Today, I am presenting for the first time for all the Family to meet, my youngest son Xanxus Vongola..
The memory cuts off there and he scowls deeper. His voice a soft whisper to himself. "Liar..."
II. guest rooms TW: Drug use likely
He's done with this. So very done with this. He's done acting like a civilized person. He needs a fucking break before he loses his temper and goes off. He needs to relax. He needs to stop hurting for a little bit. Maybe then he'll be okay. Maybe.
He had heard some of the other guests taking about the little perks in some of the rooms. He honed in on one and quietly makes his way up the stairs and to one of the rooms. Sweet sweet relief awaits on the other side of the door. But he still knocks first. He doesn't just want to barge in on someone else shooting up. Consider it professional courtesy.
Soon as he knocks though, he's coming in. He has a feeling that a place like this is going to have some really prime H.
III. Easy pickings?
He might or might not be high now. He is obviously still injured. Just look at that cane. He's found anywhere really. The balcony. The top of the stairs. In the kitchen sneaking some snacks that aren't fancy and for public consumption. It's just a matter of trying to corner him and hoping for the best.

So, you didn't kill him. You're going to wish you had. Because Xanxus is SO DONE with this. He's not playing anymore. He's probably been attacked and nearly killed too many times by this point and he's decided that it's time to turn the tables. So Virgo Members, beware. It was nice to be invited to a party that for once wasn't purely for Pride. (She doesn't mind meeting Virgo artists. [Maxxie didn't have the best attitude going into this party. The word "mandatory" is something he usually sees as being mutually exclusive with "fun," so he spent the entire ride over emotionally preparing himself for the inevitably boring time he was going to have. [Comfortable is kind of Kido's thing. It's kind of a clash of styles though, as Kido is wearing once again a hoodie under her suit and a pair of sneakers--you can take a girl to fashion but you can't make her wear it. She's content to chill off to the side, trying to avoid the bulk of the party. But she's tapping her feet to any music she can hear, and listening to conversations. Every once in a while, though, if you're watching her, her eyes go red--and if you're not watching her, every once in a while that girl in the suit mysteriously vanished like what even???
If she finds someone else hanging out by themselves, though, she has to keep up appearances. She tries to put on the charm (LAST TIME IT LANDED HER A GIRLFRIEND LET'S BE REAL IT WORKED), grinning and offering out a drink that isn't poisoned.]

[Finnick hated that he turned out to be right. He had been tasked with a similar directive tonight - a selfie with someone from a more established band, just to show who he's rubbing elbows with. Alex mentioned only Virgo bands at first, but said that the rivalry with Pride was an interesting angle, so Finnick could go either way. It's easy enough to spin, but Finnick will have to get a conversation going first if he plans to ask for a picture without sounding like a complete idiot.]
AFTER THE PERFORMANCE; GARDEN
[It makes total sense. The Pride musicians have to go. And Finnick's good at this, at killing - something in the back of his mind tells him so. It's what he was raised for. They want it quiet, he'll keep it quiet, but it'll be effective.]
[It takes a while to find someone alone, but when he does they're in the garden in a more secluded area. He feels pure disgust for this person and everything that the stand for, but he manages to mask it just like he does everything else. Johanna’s actually enjoying herself tonight, despite not having any hand in the planning process. Organizing shit like this was boring, she knew that - and she definitely wasn’t the type to try to suck up to the label in this way. But now that the night of the event has come, she’s having fun. Not only does she get great food all night long, but she also gets to dress up in something avant-garde, simultaneously elaborate and revealing. Johanna is a loaded gun, and it’s thrilling, really, for someone to have finally popped that safety for the first time in a while. She doesn’t waste time inspecting that thought, wondering where it came from when she’s obviously never done anything like this before. Instead, she openly twirls the knife in her hand, looking for someone who seems like an easy target at this point.

Sans doesn't really like putting an effort into most things, even at the best of time. Performing seems to be just about the only activity he'll put his figurative (and sometimes literal) pants on for, and this is a problem that is holding true even while being mind controlled into gratuitous murder. The idea of murder seems okay and all, at the moment. It's just that he's not really feeling all that enthusiastic about coming up with ways to do it.
Physical violence is a definite no. He's less than five feet tall and not very strong to boot. Most Pride people could probably bench press him with little difficulty. The poison, though...that seems easy. Convenient, even. Play with expectations a bit, and it's pretty much in the bag.

Doctor had agreed to be among those providing music for the night. He starts his time on stage off with a classical cello solo.
Once he finishes the first song though, he stands from his seat and approaches the microphone.
"Hello! Good evening. As many of you know I'm Doctor, but I've been called by another title: 'Crazy Instruments Guy.' It's a fair title honestly, as there are a great number of instruments I can play." He pulls a sheet off of the grand piano on stage behind him, revealing not only a piano but several other instruments. "When I played in bars here in the city, I used to spice up my performances by giving the audience the option to choose what they'd like to hear me play. I'd like to give you the chance to vote tonight. What do you think? Suggestions?"
He starts to point between the different instruments as people in the audience clap or shout for certain instruments. The options range from accordion to piano, to electric guitar and harp. Which do you vote for?
Poison, anyone?
Some time after Naomi's song, Doctor finds himself seeking out those from Pride Records. His eyes are drawn quickly to any one of them who wanders off alone. He thinks first of offering someone food or drink but he catches glimpses of others taking the opportunity and eventually gives up on the idea.
Instead he waits, until he notices one of them stepping aside for a moment alone, rubbing their forehead. A headache? He just happens to have some headache medicine with him, how fortunate!
"Need something for that?" he asks them, offering a glass of water and holding out a couple pills in his palm.

Because there's no way he's not going to explore every single inch of this place that he's allowed into, and maybe even a room or two that he's not allowed into but just wants to take a quick peek and then leave before he gets himself in trouble with Naomi. He can be found in the ballroom getting some food, out on the balcony taking in the view and being envious of her house- or, he'll be out in the gardens checking out the waterfall and the cool scenery.
Pool, Closed to Rei:
He would of been surprised if there wasn't a pool here. He absolutely has his swim trunks on under his attire. He even brought one for Rei.
Ballroom, Closed to Nia:
He's gotten out of the pool, dried himself and has managed to look still semi-decent as he gets some more food and drink before the night ends. It's been a fun party, but as he does so he bumps into a certain sentient cotton candy that he needs to speak with.

[The mind of an brainwashed omnipresent deity is a curious one. Lost in the confusion of having physical form- and not merely possessing one for a change- is making it difficult for Bill to sort his own thoughts from the commanding ones in the song. Bill Cipher has never had to do things he didn't want to do. Therefore, he is only a couple of seconds into the song before when decides this must be his choice. He isn't so foolhardy as to be deceived. So he isn't. Simple as that! The former demon doesn't just accept the foreign thought, he wraps himself up in it, slipping it on like something a little more comfortable.
He stands on the floor like many of the other volunteers, serving 'drinks' and talking up the crowd. A festive red tie in place of his usual bow-tie for the occasion. After all, this was the season of surprises. And he has plenty in store.]

[Bill is thankful the lounge is empty, it gives him the chance to peel off some of the clothing that had gotten a bit ah- well shall we say tarnished- from the multitude of victims and creative methods he employed in doing them in. Wrapping his soaked vest and tie on a poker he roasts it over the fire. How else was he supposed to wash the blood out?

[Pain is... considerably less hilarious than Bill has spent past 4 hours believing. The words and obnoxious tune of the song are leaving his head at last, leaving his mind stripped bare to not just an influx of his thoughts but every bodily impulse he had been steadfastly ignoring the better half of the night. Bruises were forming, welt's were throbbing. This stupid vessel's-- vessel?-- the hell did that come from?-- synapses were all out of whack.
While the sax player is 80% certain Bolin doesn't want him walking around on his own at this point, he knows with 100% clarity that he doesn't fucking care. The idea that someone just manipulated him is something he can barely parse, and sitting still just isn't worth it. In just his undershirt and a pair of trousers, Bill barges into the nearest bedroom-occupied or not, and throws open every closet door. No one uses Bill Cipher. If that's the case, he would undo as much of the night's work as he could.]
