Warnings: Nothing that I am aware of just yet but like Kido’s involved so god knows if she’ll behave.

How Kido and Momo snagged a spot on stage at this club will never be known. But in a late night set, there are two damn fools taking the stage. They’re “disguised” in the least disguised way possible—in the corniest callback in the entire world, they’re both in masquerade masks, silver and gold. Kido’s got a dress and Momo a suit (that is just so very slightly too big) to match.

For being the shittiest disguises in the world, like, at least they’re super uncharacteristic for both of the ladies. At least they tried.

At least the music is good. Their first song is a duet, enthusiastic and bouncy. For neither of them being lead singers, their voices are actually pretty good. The second song is clearly Kido’s, with a slightly harsher sound and lyrics:

The set is short, and it’s corny, but Kido and Momo are enjoying themselves, and they’re enjoying themselves just as much when they leave the stage. They won’t ditch their masks just yet, instead grabbing a table somewhere in the back or moving to talk to people they know. Kido will tip her mask up at anyone she knows with a wink.

Normally she hates being on stage, or in the center of any attention. But she’s really, really excited tonight—mostly because she’s not hiding the fact she’s got possibly the cutest girlfriend for the first time. She is riding so high on that.

Pinkie honestly doesn't see the point of the masks and disguises when Kido's hair is still green. But she totally gets that struggle! Next time she'll loan her a hat or something, but she thinks now's not really the time to offer disguise tips.

She hops up from her seat and goes over to join the pair as they leave. "Hey! That was awesome!" Momo's familiar, at least - they tried waltzing together! Good times.

Yeah Kido can acknowledge that her disguise is absolutely useless. Maybe the jarring fact she's in a dress will distract people enough to throw them off her trail. Not that she's too concerned about getting into trouble over just playing music.

She chuckles a little at Pinkie, still in a super good mood. "Maybe I'll try going solo sometime."

SHE WOULD NEVER FOR THE RECORD.

[sailorlaughter]

"Noooooooooooooooooooooo!"

From Pinkie's tone, it's obvious that she knows it's a joke. But she plays along anyway, throwing her arms around Kido. "We neeeeeeeed you! And I haven't given you any of your Solstice presents yet!" Logic would dictate that people don't just vanish when they leave the band. But...well, has anybody heard from Sayaka ever again?

Oh Jesus, Pinkie's gonna cause a scene whether she's joking or not. She laughs, her face red and pats her bandmate's shoulder. "There's a long time until then, don't worry. I'm not going anywhere."

But it would sure be nice if Kido didn't keep making promises she couldn't keep.

[sailorlaughter]

Pinkie knows that, even if she doesn't want to acknowledge it. Management can do whatever they want, really.

But why worry about it now? "C'mon then!" she replies, throwing an arm around Kido's shoulders. "Let's go grab some appetizers or something! I bet they've got cheese fries - oh, does Momo want to come?"

She chuckles. Why is her band so into like physical affection this is weird. "We'll bring some back. Tiger'll get jealous if I'm attached at the hip to her all night."

[sailorlaughter]

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeah..." Pinkie shrugs. "He might, y'know? Okay!"

And here we go, whisking Kido off to eat obscene amounts of cheese sticks. Well, at least Pinkie is going to. She can consume a ridiculous amount of food for as big as she is. "I'm kinda worried about him, so we should make sure he's happy!"

Kido can't say no to cheese sticks. Also she can't say no to Pinkie, she literally doesn't know how to.

"He's been acting down lately. But I think we've all been a little off our game." Kido certainly has. The band just would probably never notice because Kido kinda retreats to her room to begin with. "We should do something fun. Movies or games or something."

[sailorlaughter]

"Yeeeeeah..." They definitely need to do something. Life's gotten too weird lately. "You'd think coming off tour would settle things DOWN. But it's pretty different not just living in a bus all the time. We should totally do a movie night! We can vote for what to watch and everything!"

Postshow Catchall for Momo

[Maybe you catch the mysterious gold one who totally isn't Momo Kisaragi while she's wandering around the club! Maybe you catch her while she's settled at a table in back! Regardless, if you wanna catch her, this is the place to do it.]

[Kido smiles at Trucy. See, sometimes she can be a confident, upbeat being.]

Oh, okay. Then the songs were super amazing. You guys are really great together.

[Trucy is one hundred percent supportive of anything Kido wants to do as long she doesn't leave their band!family.]

[Kido puts a hand on her shoulder.] I figured it'd be a good way to tell you.
