005 ✽ We be all night
Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.
When: Jan 8th
Where: The basement of the club Blue Heist
Warnings: None planned besides possible/probably intoxication

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?
Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.
Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.
Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.
And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.
Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

She says it all like she was talking about some horribly tedious project. It's better in her mind to talk about it like that, offhanded and carelessly like it doesn't matter much.

Rei's voice has a nervous tick but picks up steam a little after a moment, since Mai clearly isn't that bothered by her presence in particular.
"It wasn't one of my band, was it?"

Then the violinist shakes her head. "It was my ice queen rival, Meril."
no subject
To someone, not specifically you, but still...
"She was acting odd."

"I don't know how I believe anything anymore." These dreams that keep cropping up are the biggest part of her indecision frankly. Why the hell would she be constructing whole people just to populate her dreams? And why would they feel so comfortable and right when the rest of her life had always been a shamble of discomfort in her own skin.
"She sure didn't seem like she wanted to bash my brains in the first time we met but hey, you never know with people, right? Attitudes can really turn on a dime."
And even as she says that, she doesn't sound convinced. She doesn't know Meril well but this isn't right somehow.

She doesn't want to elaborate on her visions, or the powers she's discovered, not with someone she doesn't know terribly well...but she feels like she should offer something. Just because Meril is a good person.
"Meril doesn't. I promise. It's not her nature to attack people, she's far to patient for that."
no subject
"If you're going to vouch for her then, I get to hit you with a chair the next time she chucks one at me."
It's said in jest but it's pretty deadpan all the same.

At least they're in good humor. Right?

And he's a weirdo. With everything going on...he might get paranoid.
no subject
"You mean worried?"
no subject
Being with him?

She's flipping through the various men in Pride. Not that she knows any of them well beyond Artolo and Tooru. And god help the woman if she's dating one of those assholes.

You know, from the pop band...

She rolls that around in her mind. They had only talked very, very briefly at that ill-fated party. He didn't seem like a bad guy though.
"So you like him pretty well?"
no subject
She nods, letting that sink in. He was a bit of a dork at times, but she liked him. Well, more than liked.
"And yeah. More than pretty well. We've been seeing one another for a few months now, in secret. But I figure that the labels have to be aware, and haven't stepped in yet, so...it must be alright."

Mai has a very cut and dry estimation of intelligence.
