Third Eye Blind? Not Anymore
Who: Garnet, OPEN
What: Garnet wakes up with something on her forehead and something with her eyes. She's trying to cover it up while also writing a song and trying to act normal.
When: January 13th onward
Where: The penthouse, then anywhere you want! Just ping me in the thread starter
Warnings: None, can change if needed!
Penthouse
[Garnet has a good idea. She knows what song she wants to compose for her secret song subject. She can see it in her head, forming quietly in her mind. She spent most of the night putting down the notes she could, before sinking into blissful sleep.
She doesn't wake up until later than usual in the morning. Odd. Ah well. Yet, she doesn't feel entirely awake. Like her eyes aren't fully open. Like...something is missing. It is...like one eye isn't open. But they are open, right? Both of them.
The third eye pops open as she brushes her teeth, and she jumps three feet into the air with a screech that can be heard through the penthouse, if not beyond. But that's quickly stifled by her mouth, as she goes to grab something - anything - to cover it up. Can she close the eye? She has to be able to, it was closed before!
It took about ten minutes for Garnet to come out of the bathroom, but she comes out, her eye firmly closed and covered with make up, alongside her entire face. Of course, she was so panicked about the third eye that she doesn't realize that her other two eyes aren't exactly normal anymore, either.]
Elsewhere
[Sunglasses. Hat. She can be spotted throughout town, hovering over a notebook. So far, so good, no one's recognized her, somehow.
That, however, may be about the change, whether she likes it or not. She's pretty distinctive-looking, after all, even with her attempts to looks more normal. Its only a matter of time before someone comes up to her and asks her what her deal is today.]

[Garnet zips over to Pinkie, going to grab her shoulders.]
K-keep it down, Pinkie! Please. I don't want anyone knowing its me...!
no subject
[Pinkie says in a stage whisper, before miming zipping her mouth up, locking it, and tossing the key on the ground.
Then she kicks some dirt over it for good measure.
Losing a friend's trust is the fastest way to lose a friend!]

[Her voice is a whisper.]
I'm not really into talking to the fans today.

Garnet?
Re: They haven't met yet sooo...
No, she's never really met whoever this is, but better safe than sorry.]
S-shhhh!
no subject
What's wrong?
no subject
[Motioning to people who were looking over at the two of them.]
Not today.

[When she comes out though, he exhales heavily, relieved to see her in one piece.]
Garnet--! Are you okay?
no subject
Yes.
[In other words, not even close.]

What happened?

[If she shows him, won't he be in danger, too? This kind of change, isn't it something that could cause her and everyone around her problems? Isn't it wrong? Or...right? She doesn't know.
But she's clearly worried about explaining.]
no subject
[It's a surprisingly parental tone, and one he never takes with Garnet. Not exactly stern, but still serious because there's no way he's letting this go. If Garnet's worried or in danger or something, he's gonna help. That's just how it is.]

Watch where you're-
Oh! Doctor G. Sorry. [She waves her phone around as if that is an explanation.]
I'm fighting my tail.
no subject
...No problem. Any way I can help?
no subject
If you see a big guy with sunglasses who's looking for me, you didn't see me. At all.
[And then she pauses.]
Speakin' of glasses, what's with the getup.
no subject
[Hn.]
...Headache.

[Yuffie's head tilts and she continues looking up at Garnet over her phone.]
....Also I may be hiding in your kitchen later today. Or something. They don't follow into other penthouses but he's followed me into Carnie-ville like four times.
I think he thinks I'm gonna do something crazy.

It shocked Koumei to wakefulness with a start and, in a pile of blankets and pillows, he stumbled out of his room to look for the source of the fire. Eyes were wide with alarm and his heart pounded in his chest-- it took a few moments too long for him to realize that the sound had come from the bathroom.
Again.
Groaning wearily, Koumei shuffled down the hall and gently rapped at the closed door.]
Garnet. You okay and everything in there?
no subject
[The response is quick, sharp, and ever so slightly panicked.]
Absolutely fine!
no subject
[That edge of panic in her tone was worrisome. Koumei tapped on the door again.]
Let me in-- I might be able to help.

[She's not letting him in just yet. Not until this is covered...!]
