Punk is not dead
Who: Xanxus, Sabo and YOU
What: Sabo insulted punk, so now they're haivng a little music battle
When: 3 Feb
Where: Club VorTeQ
Warnings: Xanxus warnings apply, more as added.
It's time. The infamous little punk club is filled to the brim with curious fans. Ever since that little twit-fit, the club has been really playing up the upcoming battle between Sabo and Xanxus. There are posters and special drinks, themed for each musician.
The stage is set up for the two, with everything they need. The bar is active and the club is hopping. While this isn't a legitimate contest like the Song Contest, there's something more on the line here. The pride of punk music.

He steps up to the microphone and instead of a bass, he's got a guitar about his neck. For once, he's not all in black. His outfit screams not only punk, but poor fashion sense. I call this Rise from the Ashes
Jealous idiots try to say
Rise above. We're going rise from the ashes.
They don't even know how we play
Rise from flames. We're gonna rise.
Try and think they're better than us.
Rise from hell, Rise from the Grave
but we'll show them what we're made of
Rise from hell cause punk's not dead.
We're tired of your mouth
So keep that shit to yourself.
You think we're posers
Rise above you. Way above
you don't even know what we're about
Rise. Rise in strength.
Laugh in our faces
Rise from death's door
Because no matter what, we'll rise.
We're stronger than you think
Try to stop us, it's no use.
We'll be here long after you are through
You can't stop us. Just give up.
We're born with a passion
and we're going to rise.
Raise our fists against the men
who want to keep us down
We're not satisfied with the world as it is
we'll rise above and change it.
We're tired of your lies
so shut up because we'll keep playing
Rise above
Rise from the grave
Rise above
Punk is not dead
We'll never die
We'll always be here.

[And also a perfect chance to pick up on their Boss's horrible fashion sense to show Lussuria later so that the Sun Guardian can sigh at him.]

He considers using that strange compelling that he has in his voice. Trying to entice those girls to want to put out for him later. But he doesn't know if it'll work. He's only ever used it on Tamara to get her to sing with him.
Only one way to try.
In the final chorus, he focuses on those twins and gives a little push, trying to convince them that he's the hottest thing ever. ]

He'd seen it before. Heard it before. And was irritated at being disappointed. He had hoped for something better. Even something inspiring. But as for what he actually got? Who gave a damn]
no subject
This is what he lives for. More than alcohol. More than drugs. More than fighting. To see that sea of faces and know that for a moment that they are sharing this together. For that, he'll put up with disappointing Sabo. ]

He retrieves it with a muttered apology and sets it back up with mildly shaking hands. Then takes a deep breath and starts]
By the way
I hear what you're gonna say
More punk than me anyway
Trying to prove to me
That you're good
I don't care
You don't have it anyway
Just shock, pride, make 'em pay
Sorry man can't buy it
You're not fooling anyone
So yeah, so yeah
It's not about pain, sin
And ending your life
So yeah, oh yeah
I'll step up and speak on my own
oh yeah, oh yeah
It's not punk your way
Not on your life.
Give me your best shot
I know you'll miss.
You can say
I'm all that there is and more
But more is there waiting
Me, I'd rather fight
Looking for life
and what is real
even if there's hell to pay
Revolution is coming this way
Sorry if I just can't
Live with this shit
oh yeah, oh yeah
There's more here
than just living your life
Oh yeah, oh yeah
I'll find the truth on my own
so yeah, so yeah
Do your thing I don't care
At least you've got flair
But that's just it.

Although Roxas can appreciate this sort of thing, that doesn't mean he does at this moment. Instead he's at the bar, blending in fairly well this tonight's crowd to not be noticed for being fairly young, waiting for someone who would be that 'hey, you look cool, get me a few drinks?' connection.
There are many bars in this city that will cater to someone of his age, but he'd rather not go through finding out if this is one of the few that won't. Wouldn't that be a drag? Instead of facing that possibility he's on the lookout for that one special person. And maybe he's found it here.. in this guy.
They're sitting fairly close, so he doesn't need to get up or anything to get this one's attention. There's a break in the music now so it's easy. With a slight nod and a flick of his wrist as a greeting, a simple "Hey" does it.

He slides on the stool next to him. "The Green Fairy, hmmm? That's quite a drink choice. Not really what you see here." He seems not to even have to order. A full bottle of whiskey is put in front of him along with a glass. The bartenders know him here.
"So, what you think?" Not just about his song, but about Sabo too.
no subject
"Of your performances and the, hmmm, competition behind them? I'm impressed with both of them," he says, taking a sip from his glass. "I haven't been much into punk since I was in my teens, but the both of you made me remember why it drew me in: it's the energy and the fire in it. It's full of life at it's rawest and most primal."

Tamara Seward
But right now Tamara is busy getting some drinks at the bar in a dress fishnets and boots on.

"Hey bella donna. What's a classy lady like you doing in a dive like this." He gives her a playful wink as he taps the bar. It's his signal to let the tender know that her drinks are free.
no subject
She turns around and smiles. "To support my favorite bassist. Besides, I've been coming to places like this for a long time. I'm only classy because I like to be. I can get plently wild too."

Ryouta Kise
It's obvious to anyone who reads the news that Ryouta's here for Xanxus, and for those who don't he's wearing a Junkyard Carnival tee shirt that has a few stylized rips in it. The shirt is paired with designer jeans, showing that that he's not really into the punk scene.
Re: Ryouta Kise
"You look like one of my groupies. You know what I do with my groupies, right?"
no subject
"You know I'm down for that," he said as he reached behind him and grabbed the drink he got Xanxus. "You did great!" he said and held it up for Xanxus.
He's not an expert on punk, being very much a pop person, though he could slide into alternative, and has been recently with the album he's working on. He did he enjoy the sets.

Mingling at Club VorTeQ
"Cecilia" and "Celia" - ota
[What they mean is the pink hair a set of twins have- brown skinned women in their twenties dressed in matching outfits. They stick close together, within reaching distance even when one of them isn't holding onto the other or draped shamelessly across in some way. They can be found all throughout VorTeQ at any point in the night, whether lounging at the bar or on the dancefloor or bluntly ignoring the people who hit on them.]
[One of the twins is Mammon, of course. The other, if you'd believe it, is Fantasma the frog.]
[Frogs deserve to have a fun night too, after all.]
[Feel free to bother them, whether you know who they are or not.]
no subject
He sees the twins, and it takes him a moment to tell it's Mammon and their... familiar? That's impressive. That's... something he can use.]
Buy you a drink?
[He waves for the bar tender, and lowers his voice to keep speaking]
That's very impressive. You put the other illusionist I know to shame.
no subject
So long as you're paying.
[Mammon has no interest in spending any of the money they've managed to accumulate, even if they know it will only be useful so long as they're on this world. At the compliment, they flip a wave of pink hair.]
I should. I'm the best illusionist in the world, and I wouldn't doubt many others.
[Modesty, what's that even]
