Although the boys made it through the most recent series of unfortunate events at Pride Records mostly unscathed, they're still dealing with the aftereffects just like everyone else. The return to life as they know it is swift thanks to Mr. Patil, but they still have time to get up to a whole new set of shenanigans...

[GUESS WHO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO KNOCK it's B. It's B, and he's just gonna shove the door open with a big dumb grin. He's still wearing sunglasses in an effort to cover up his weird new robot eyes, but for the moment he doesn't seem too worried about that.]

HEY Sora! Happy Valentine's Day, thanks for--

[Wait. It takes him a moment to register that Sora isn't actually the only person in the bed... and then a moment longer to register what's actually going on.]

--holy shit you guys.

[He doesn't sound particularly alarmed or weirded out, just... delighted, honestly. This is the cutest thing he's ever seen.]

[Yeah even two months after Murderparty 2K54 Jamie doesn't take too well to being startled in this way. He kind of bolts upright and makes a grab for Sora which may or may not end up with him in a headlock. To protect him, you see.]

[When he sees who the intruder actually is he relaxes, but only a little.]

Jesus, man, give us a little warning next time? [Despite the blase' manner in which he's trying to approach this, he's probably noticeably apprehensive. Secret's out, one of their bandmates the ENTIRE WORLD knows about him and Sora now.]

[For Sora, it's probably the brief headlock that Jamie puts him in that startles him more than B's sudden appearance. Thankfully it doesn't last long, and honestly he's kind of amused.

His smile is a little sheepish though, he feels a bit guilty for not having told B or the other guys sooner. But it helps that B doesn't sound mad.]

Happy Valentine's Day?

[Maxxie's just coming out of his room down the hall when he hears B bust into Sora's room. He wanders down after him, totally up for some surprise Valentine's day shenanigans, grinning as he approaches.]

Hey, what are we doing - oh my god.

[His face abruptly changes when he sees Jamie in Sora's bed, and he's clearly been there. Like this is not a Flashstep-surprises-Sora thing this is clearly Jamie was in bed with Sora and B has found them like this and Maxxie blinks a few times trying to make sense of what's in front of him. He puts his hand on B's shoulder like he's trying to show him what's happening even though B already sees this. It is right in front of them.]

Is this what I think it is?

[killerbeep]

Yeah, yeah, maybe next time. [He's still grinning like a loser, and turns that grin on Maxxie a moment later.]

I think it is!

[Jamie buries his face in his hands and groans.]

Oh my god is everyone just going to come stampeding in here to stare at us?

[consocius]

[This was not the Valentine's morning he was expecting, but whatever, Sora rolls with the punches. It could always be a lot worse. At least everyone is clothed. And no parental figures are around to ask him about condoms for no good reason. That would be the peak of embarrassment.

He gives Jamie a sympathetic pat on the back before rubbing it in circles soothingly and looking toward the doorway.]

I guess since Jamie only answered your question with another question, I should probably answer. And... yeah, we're together. Like, dating.

[Another sympathetic look to Jamie. LOOK SORRY BUT THERE'S NOT REALLY ANY USE DENYING IT HERE.]

[Maxxie's hand is already on B's shoulder, but he brings his other hand up to hit B's chest repeatedly, like he's trying to get his attention even more.]

He just said they're dating. You heard that, right?

[killerbeep]

Yeah, I heard it, I'm right here! [He sounds anything but annoyed, though, and just laughs as he gives Maxxie's shoulder a light swat.]

Holy shit though, you guys, when did this happen? Like, is this a new thing, or am I just more clueless than I thought?

[Jamie gives Sora a kind of rueful "what can you do" look. He knew it had to come out someday, this just wasn't quite the way he'd envisioned it happening. Then he looks back at B and shrugs, guardedly.]

Since New Year's. Are you guys mad we didn't tell you sooner?

[They don't sound mad, but Jamie wants to make sure.]

[Over a month. Really, they probably should've just told them sooner. Sora looks at Maxxie and B hopefully after the question is asked. He doesn't want them to be mad, either.]

Oh my god. I've gotta text T.

[Maxxie pulls out his phone before anyone can stop him, and then when he's done he puts his phone away and just gets on the bed.]

I can't believe you hooked up at my party. B, they hooked up at my party.

[killerbeep]

Of course not, dude! That's you guys' call. [Of course there is the part where B found out by barging into Sora's room unannounced, BUT ANYWAY. He follows Maxxie to sit down on the bed.]

[mildwildchild]

[Jamie looks at Maxxie a little indignantly.] Dude, c'mon, you made all of us promise not to tell anyone about you and Terry, what if we were waiting to tell other people about this?

[He's not really mad about that - honestly he's more annoyed that what was previously his and Sora's private snugglenest is being invaded by bandmates - it's just that everyone is making such a big deal about this.]

[consocius]

[Sora's uncertainty instantly vanishes as both of his friends climb up onto the bed with them, and he winds up grinning. He takes Jamie's hand again to hold it, lacing their fingers together.]

But Terry's an honorary 'Step, 'cause he's with Maxxie!

[While Jamie is annoyed at the invasion of their snugglenest, Sora just goes right back to snuggling him. Honestly, this feels like kind of the greatest Valentine's day gift ever: having not only his friends' support and acceptance, but also, apparently, their happiness about this.]

[Maxxie makes a face at Jamie.]

Yeah, and I told you like the same day.

[He takes out his phone and sends another quick text to tell Terry not to tell anyone.]

[B just laughs, shoving his sunglasses higher up on his face to make sure they're not slipping. Regardless of how many of his bandmates may or may not know about his Eye Situation, he'd rather get in the habit of keeping these on until he's figured out what to do about this.]

Does this mean we all gotta 'fess up about our dating lives now? Is that what we're doing today?

[Jamie resignedly tosses up the hand that's not holding Sora's, since it's becoming clear that the two of them aren't going to be getting any more alone time this morning.]

Sure, why not. You been sneaking love letters to anyone, or are you the only bachelor left in the band?

[Regardless of how generally disgruntled he is, Jamie shifts a bit as Sora leans back into him - to maximize cuddling potential - and rubs his thumb idly over Sora's knuckles.]

Hey, what? Have you got something to 'fess up, then? Spill!

[It's still Sora's room. Technically he could kick them out. He doesn't want to, he's enjoying this. It feels familial and warm.]

If we all have someone, we could like. Go on triple dates.

[Maxxie grins, thinking about how much Terry would love to go on triple dates with his band mates. He doesn't mention that, settling for mentioning it to Terry later and gauging interest.]

[He elbows B.]

Yeah, what've you been getting up to, huh? After this I'll believe anything.

[He looks pretty pleased with himself - and just with the whole situation. Everyone's dating someone!! This is great!!]

You guys know Artolo, from Crown of Thorns? We've been going out!

[The name conjures up some vague, hazy memories for Jamie. Something about hairless cats? Eh.]

Oh yeah, since when?

[And a little more acidly:] Has his dickbag bandmate started harassing you yet?

Yeah, I know Artolo! He's pretty funny. Never boring to hang out with, that's for sure! [He laughs.] And he let me play with his cats.

[And, echoing Jamie:] When did you guys get together?

[Yes Maxxie said he'll believe anything, but this comes as a complete surprise and he just raises his eyebrows at B, waiting for the answer. He's reserving comment on Artolo for now because he's nice, but he's really hoping for a good explanation here.]

Which one? Can't say I've actually met any of 'em.

Since, like... the music festival, I guess. [Yes, he guesses. Their whole relationship... status... thing has always been a little nebulous.] Wwwhich I guess is quite a while not to have said anything. Sorry about that.
