I'm fine. Relax. [She rolls her eyes, plucking at the bass again. It's the line to Children Record, this time.]

[She doesn't answer at first, just playing the bass. Her voice is quiet when she finally starts to sing.]

Taking point, you hide your sense of dread

[He hums softly along with her, just a backing instead of taking anything over.]

[It dies there, her fingers going still on the bass, the last note ringing out low. She can't put her heart into the next line. "We can't stop, no we won't stop, no never again," isn't something she believes. She feels like she's given up completely and only even ghosting through survival because of the few people who would care if she disappeared for good.

The pause is short, but heavy.

Then she looks up at Genos with a smile that dies before it's even fully formed. She's trying very hard.] Got distracted again. You ready to hit the stage?
