got your picture; coming with you
Who: Nuclear Parliament
What: Recording shit, welcoming Shinichi to the band, chilling. You know how it is.
When: Throughout March!
Where: NP Penthouse
Warnings: Probably nothing.
Johanna's been moody for the past couple months - fine, she admits it. That party back in December had been quite the damper, to say the least, and the way the band had fallen apart for a few weeks didn't help. Stella had told her not to be so worried, and Jo had scoffed - at the time.
But now the penthouse is starting to get loud again. It's starting to get fun again. With the band back to full strength, five members present and accounted for, their apartment actually feels lived in. And now that Johanna isn't locking herself away as much anymore, that means the place is back to being the home of the best pop punk band in town.
Of course, that means that the penthouse is kind of a mess, between the parties being had and the music being made. But hey - that's the price of genius. Or something like that.

The paper bags are coming out, this is happening. Well, as long as they can take what they have with them. "Um.. it's not too bad?" Thinking.. thinking.. "..about five blocks, maybe?" He never questions it when going; he just goes.
"I.. didn't think someone liked ice cream as much as I do." To leave a comfortable setting in a bar, Shin must.

Once they're outside and he's actually lit up the cigarette he pulled out he goes back to Roxas' other question. "I actually started out playing bass, guitar was mostly a side thing, but if it's what people like, who am I to deprive them? I've never played with anyone else though, but I'd be open to trying."
no subject
"Okay, when we get a moment I gotta show you. I can write the notes but I'm not used to playing on strings," holding sticks and whacking them to objects in tune is more his style, "You can probably pick it up easily. It isn't.. too bad. Oh, turn here--"
They're on the street!! They're getting closer! And Roxas is totally sipping from his bagged drink, almost shamelessly! What if someone takes pictures of them and puts up a tabloid of their antics? ..what if he cares?

The desire for ice cream might in part be due to the weed he'd been smoking. He's definately drinking from his bagged drink just as shamelessly as he walked out of the bar with it. He at least plans on bringing it back after they've had ice cream.
Shin is finishing up his cigarette as they get closer. When they enter, Shin is like a kid in a candy shop. Even though he is still kind of a kid. In an ice cream shop. So it's not all that surprising if you strip away the piercings and spiked hair. "We are going to make great friends," he announces.

When they get there Roxas stands back as Shin takes the sight in for the first time. He remembers his first trip here. The way he stared at all the options and held up the line, earning anger from the patrons behind him.
This is going to be good. "This is something that should happen often." Since he already knows what he wants, Roxas will be ordering. Sea salt ice cream. A tried and true classic, for him at least.
"Hopefully the bar doesn't put up a stink for us bringing this back." Because it's definitely happening. If any is left, anyway. Five blocks is a long way to walk without eating.

Shin takes some time to look through all the flavours. There's so many it's a little mind boggling. He ends up getting 'smurf ice cream' after searching for a while. "I have never tasted anything like this before!"
no subject
"It is pretty good, huh? I think they make it in the back." In one hand is the ice cream, in the other his paper bagged drink. As he's indulging in both of these on their way back, he stops and holds out his hand to cease Shin in his tracks. A brilliant idea just struck him. "..what if they combined ice cream and alcohol? Made a.. hard ice cream, or something?"

"I wonder if you can make cannabis ice cream...."

No mean managers barking orders at them? Ideal.
By some miracle, they eventually arrive back at where they started, ice cream cups definitely empty, paper bagged drinks long gone and two bodies ready for more. It isn't late enough yet to warrant a bouncer so they're able to slide back in without a problem. But something isn't right.
Whispering to Shin best he can, which is only semi decent considering he's just a bottle of rum in, "I think they're mad at us.. we're getting mean mugs from the bar."

"Hey.. heyyyy. I'd like some rum, please. Like, rum, please? Now. Now would be great."
The person behind the bar looks less than pleased; if it wasn't for the fact that Roxas wasn't waving around cash, and pointing at Shin and mumbling something about 'for him too' the next comment would have come sooner than it did from the person it did. While the drinks are made another individual, probably management, makes way behind the bar to stand between the counter and him.
As Roxas takes his when it hits the counter, about to bring the one for Shin to where he's sitting, the new face begins to chastise. "You can't take those glasses outside the bar. That's stealing. We shouldn't even be serving you; we should be kicking you out of here."

The manager man continues. "Yeah, you guys are taking our drinkware outside like you own it and that's against the rules. None of the other customers do that, you shouldn't either. We don't want you in our bar anymore."
This was probably a very, very bad time for Roxas to completely down that exceptionally delicious and strong drink that was made for him. Turning to Shin for a moment, "This guy has a problem, doesn't he? Why does he have a problem?"
The said guy has a look of confusion that joins the angry look on his face.

"You're jealous, aren't you?" Roxas directs this at the man coming at them with these things, not at all happy to the conclusion he's come to.
Not entirely sure what the kid is getting at, the guy responds with "What?"
At this point Roxas is letting out hot air for no good reason. "Yeah, we're half your age, maybe, and already infinitely more accomplished and better at life. We're not stuck at some shitty bar, we can actually go places. With glasses! You know what, hell with your shitty glasses, they didn't even last the entire trip."
Why he was holding onto them all this time, no one knows, but it's now that he plants his on the bar counter, wrapped in the paper bag and all. "Do you have any idea who we are? We're in a freaking band. We're-- we're famous! Damnit!!" At this point he looks to Shin, as if trying to send his a message via his mind to do something now to enhance his point.

"Hope we don't come back." With that they're out. The patrons, and workers, couldn't be happier. That manager guy is still scratching his head as to why they needed to make a scene like that.
But that's a problem they don't need to worry about anymore. And any issues that arise from it will be something that future Roxas and future Shin need to be concerned about. Once they're outside, "Man, that was awesome!! That thing shattered into a thousand pieces, probably! You definitely made a point with that!"
no subject
He's got to admit, he's not sure why he took it to that level, and is pretty sure it was probably a bad idea, but damn did it feel good. He's still acting like it was just totally normal even once they've left, pulling out a splif to feed two bad habits at once.
"Fuck." He states as he realizes they still had his card but then shrugs, "they can kept that credit card. It will be a nice little gift." He takes out his phone and reports the card stolen, just to add some insult to injury for when they try to cash him out. If it became a problem then he figured he could call his bank and just say he was confused. Blame it on the alcohol. "Man was a loser."

As familiar as he is with this area, usually he doesn't need to look for places to get drinks; they just happen to be at the penthouse, or close enough where he doesn't need to go out-out. On the block on his own like this is new, yet fun. "We could hit up the closest corner store, load up on a few then come back... with some spray paint maybe?"

Shin is going to be dragged to this store. When they enter, signaled by a ding from the door swinging open, Roxas is heading straight towards what he wants: more rum. If it is working, why quit it? He'll buy what he wants, a full fifth which is more than enough to cause trouble for a day and then some, happily accepting the paper bag that's offered with it while waiting for Shin to make his decision so they can continue on in their shenanigans for the afternoon.

He follows Roxas out, putting a beer can into a paper bag and popping it open. "So, what's the best park to hang out at around here?"
no subject
..a park? Hm, gotta think. "Oh.. anything by the shore. Those are the best. You get a park and the view of the water. Nothing's better." Knowing what's going to come next, he's already scanning the horizon in a lame attempt to determine what direction will lead them towards the water by where the sun is at this time.
He thinks he picks it up. There are signs everywhere pointing to everything after all, so this shouldn't turn into a misadventure even if he's wrong. "Let's go this way." With that he leads, still staying close by enough to hold a conversation. "We should still get spray paint."
