☆BETTER TO PRETEND

The day has finally come for Fairy Trial filming to begin!

No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination.

Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone.

“We kill the lights and put on a show.
It's all a lie, but you'd never know.
The star will shine,
And then it will fall,
And you will forget it all.”

[Dressed up in her own heroic outfit, Connie pauses when she's gestured to. She'd been nearby just listening to the bickering, so she certainly hadn't thought she'd get dragged into it.]

Wh- me?

[Robin nods.]

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Which is more appropriate for a hero, such as yourself, to wear?

[She gestures vaguely at the armor Connie has on, reminding the staff of her role in this business.]

[Still a little unsure, Connie comes closer and glances over at the two different outfits.]

[Needless to say, the uncertainty doesn't last for long.]

Well, the first one, obviously. [Squaring her shoulders without thinking, she starts to dissect the problems in the other outfit. Each word seems to get her more passionate.] I mean, the second one is completely impractical if you're going to go on a heroic quest of any kind! For one thing, there's absolutely no, er, chest support for the front. If you're running, leaping, or having dashing sword fights, it's going to be really uncomfortable.

Not to mention, what kind of adventurer would do so in heels? If you're making a bold dash for your captured royal, you can't spend any of that time trying to make sure your unstable balance doesn't topple you over. That's the best case scenario. The worst case is that you're not paying attention, so you end up breaking an ankle!

Skirts have a time and place too, and it's certainly not while you're escaping from angry royal guards. The good thing is that it allows a lot of room for maneuverability, but that won't matter with how much it flares up! That means it's going to be far too easy to get tangled up in, assuming someone or something doesn't catch a hold of it first. I mean, the first outfit does have a bit of flare as well, with its coat and capelet combo, but it's much shorter so that you don't have to worry about tangling up your feet. It's practical in a way, too, because the coat allows you to smuggle weaponry into the royal ball!

...Also, the hat just looks silly.

[SHE CAN KEEP GOING. Do not test a preteen girl on this.]
