I'll Show You My Strength Now
Who: Shin and you!
What: Practice, various
When: April 17-23
Where: Various
Warnings: Sex, drugs, rock n' roll (and prostitution)
1.) OTA
Coping mechanisms are alcohol, weed, and coke, right? He's wondering if he's crazy, but he knows all too well that everything makes too much sense to be lies. It explains so much about why he loves music so much, and why he felt compelled to sell his skin, but it left him with the question, is it worth going home?
Currently Shin's on the down-swing of a coke rush, contemplating life and the universe over a Long Island iced tea. His foot is tapping rhythmically to the beat, though his expression doesn't follow along with the same enthusiasm.
2.) For Roxas
Shin normally is smooth and controlled. He rarely looks angry, and since his arrival he had yet to actually once act on his anger. Today's practice seems to be getting to him though. He hadn't been close with the other band members, but the temporary replacements seemed to be getting more and more under his skin. His jaw sets harder with each mistake the fill-ins make. Even Roxas's mistakes seem to be getting to him, and his own mistakes even moreso. The first few (hundred?) plays through, Shin was playing as close to perfect as a human being could get with the amount of practice they had already put in, but each jarring note off of the tune seems to be messing with his game more and more.
Finally, the bassist plays another measure in the wrong key and off beat and Shin snaps like a guitar string. He lifts the bass violently over the bassist's head to get the strap off of him and swings it back around to smash into the floor. A piece of the guitar flies out, directly into Roxas's main drum, earning a deeper scowl and a silent curse. He didn't want to get Roxas involved, but he'd fucked that up, apparently. He tries to let it not ruffle him too much as he looks the bassist dead in the eye before announcing, "Sounds much better now."
He pulls off his guitar and throws it at one of the stereos, making them collide with a horrific sound.
He's apparently done for the day as he storms out the studio. At the very least it's going to take a few minutes to replace the three instruments he just wrecked.

As much as he may like the explanation, it's far too revealing. So, he's looking forward way too much towards what he'll be asking. Which will definitely come next.
no subject
He's forgotten a step, but he's not all too worried about that, even though he believes Roxas.
no subject
But he'll take that chance.
Shaking what has happened before, because, whatever, who cares about that, he proceeds with the next part of the game. "How about this.. so, is there an event that has happened, any, in your past that has contributed to how you are now? One single, defining thing that has happened which makes you who you are, doing what you are doing?"
The biggest reason he asks that is because he knows that is if he were to be asked the same question, he would have a simple answer. As to whether the other person would believe him or not, that's up to them.

no subject
He wouldn't. He hasn't. And he hasn't.
"That's pretty awful.. but, I'm going to bet it's not true."
no subject
"What's your first memory? Real memory."
no subject
Lord knows opportunities will present themselves later though..
With that in mind, with that thing Shin suggests, he can say just as well, "Really? Obviously, being taught my first words. What else is there, even? Hey. What do you got for me?"
no subject
no subject
"My name. I repeated it when it was told to me." Real exciting.

He's hoping he gets this next one wrong thinking about it, actually. "Hmm.. one more round, and we should wrap this up. What do ya say?"

"What kind of end result do you see doing what you're doing has in store for you?" Not just the fun, end of the week kind of thing, but legitimately the future. As much of it as they have to look forward to here, anyway.
no subject
He obviously doesn't want to be answering this. He wants to dart. He downs his glass and gets another already.
no subject
"Nah.. that's not it. That can't be it. It never is."
no subject
He sounds like he doesn't want to talk any more about it.
no subject
"Alright.. for yours, the last of it, what do you got?"
no subject

They weren't techincally people, but who the hell is counting?
no subject

This is easily going to put him over the edge.
Until that happens, up until the second, he's going to try his best to keep himself as grounded as possible. "Well.. you're right. Yup. You're right there. I guess that's it. Game over. We should.. cash out and maybe, lay up against something for a while." And definitely NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE, NO.

Until he mentions the bathroom. It could be something as simple as just using the bathroom. Or, thinking back to earlier..
"I gotta go too. Too much drinking." He can't nor will he be able to stop Shin from doing whatever he's going to do, but at least he'll make sure something ridiculous doesn't happen during.

Don't blame him. He's young, these things are exceptionally distracting for him. Hormones. Some other excuse.
When he's finished it isn't a surprise what Shin has done. A shame, maybe, but he knows he can't do anything to stop it. As long as things don't get crazy.. like it might be getting given the sounds coming from that stall.
Are they freaking filming in there?
Figuring that no one and nothing is listening to him other than Shin, "Does this sort of thing happen often in here?"
