Who: Jecht & Aramat
What: Beach Date? Beach Date.
When: Dec 1, sometime in the afternoon
Where: One of Vista City's Beaches
Warnings: Possible skinny dipping, memories, kinda cute date stuff, etc.

After that photoshoot Xie An organized that left most the band frustrated and annoyed (including Tamara, and she's actually a goth off-time) she immediately called up the shirtless (and fit as all hell) older man caught her top hat about some... relaxation. Sure December was beginning so it certainly wasn't swimsuit season, but they can enjoy the beach anyway. The waves still come and go, even with winter approaching.

Bundled up in suitable winter clothes, but with a swimsuit underneath. (You never know, this date could possibly end at a pool or even a hot tub.) She follows the directions Jecht gave her to the beach and hopes to find him there.

Maybe Jecht was insane. That sure would explain a lot, right? In this particular instance, it would explain her first sight of the drummer -- out in the presumably frigid water, floating on his back like he was born to the water. And of course, wearing absolutely no shirt. With his arms splayed out and his legs slightly spread, Jecht looked like he'd just laid down in bed for a nap.

In reality, maybe that wasn't too far off. Drifting like this brought back memories, distant and yet comfortably warm. Floating through the water as it spread out all around him, currents thrashed into it by kicking limbs and flailing arms around him as he clutched -- something. A ball? -- to his chest. That shouldn't have been a soothing memory, or a dream because it had to be a dream, but something about it felt like home.

For the moment, lost in that reverie, he didn't notice Tamara yet.

Jecht looks so calm and serene in the cold water Tamara almost doesn't want to bother him. Still... he's in cold fucking water, shirtless.

"Jecht?"

The drummer's eyes snapped open as his name, with its solid reality outside his head, startled him out of the reverie. He kicked his legs down so his body rotated upright, offering Tamara a broad grin that plastered over all the swirling thoughts that didn't suit him and he intended to ignore. "Hey there, beautiful!"

"It's good to see you Jecht... are you cold?" Seriously it's fifty degrees out and the water must be colder.

"Do I look cold?" No. He did not. Actually he looked fairly impressive standing there with the water rising and falling around him, hands on his hips and droplets trickling down his skin. And she better believe he knew that. "Heat or cold, they don't bother me in the water."

It is impressive. (And awfully nice to look at too. Jecht looks wonderfully nice all wet and muscular and tan and... wow, she's getting awfully distracted here.)

"Apparently it doesn't. I'm almost jealous."

"You don't have to be too jealous." Jecht strode through the water towards her, confident and powerful steps (because striding through water demands nothing less, of course). "If you don't want to be. I don't just stay warm, I can keep other people pretty warm too..."

She just watches him walking in the water, flawlessly and in his element. He almost could be a modern, rocker sea god. (The fact that she's clearly ogling him helps too.)

Her voice gets sultry. "I bet you can..."

She snaps out of it. "I mean... sure."

Only one thing to do now -- press the advantage. Stalking out of the water, Jecht walked straight up to her, bringing up his arm to offer it to her.

"Here, feel that. Warm as anyone could ask for." He curled his fingers slightly, the better to flex the muscles beneath that tanned skin.

And she's gonna touch and feel the muscles in that skin, she admits that she likes that he's so tall and bigger than her. (Yeah, the thirst is real, guys.)

It's a little cold but Jecht's skin is warmer than average. "You must be very useful when there's no blankets or heat in the place."

"You look like you need 'em." He reaches out to tug on the collar of her coat, quite gently, just to tease her. "Guess we should get some warm food in you. And take care of any other way you might need some heat, huh?"

"Can we enjoy the beach a little more? You look like you enjoy it." Tamara coos to Jecht. Is the lady asking for a kiss?

Perhaps.

Jecht was a funny man in ways, a guy who wouldn't take 'perhaps' as permission. Call it a rebellion against the image that came with his genre, where guys womanized shamelessly and girls weren't safe at their shows.

But that didn't stop him from leaning in as she tilted her head up, making that 'perhaps' all the more tantalizing. "Enjoy it a lot more now that you're here."

What a gentleman, despite his rough, uncouth look. It's one of the things she likes most about him. Her hand caresses his facial hair, his jawline, inching even closer to him.

"I'd glad to help..." She breaks the distance between them in a kiss.

The moment he was sure about her intentions, he met her halfway. With a little help as his arms went around her, the better to lift her up to her tiptoes to help balance out their heights. Much like Jecht himself, his kiss was rough but a little sweet, and if it broke a little quicker than they might have intended, that was only because he couldn't help his smile.

"Yeah, this was worth coming out of the water."

She makes a pleased little noise at this. The roughness of his beard, the playfulness evident in that little kiss, the smile that comes after. Oh it's difficult to pull away.

"And it was worth trying..." She murmurs.

"Not showing up in a swimsuit is cheating, though," he said, not in any hurry to move back or let her go. Might be a bit oblivious to her comfort the way he's holding her almost off the ground, but not intentionally. "I really wanted to see that."

"I have one on underneath my clothes, just to let you know." Tamara says matter of factly. "This is really nice and all, but aren't you going to put me down."

We know it's tempting to lift the tiny hot woman.

Hell, he was barely aware he was going it. Heavy she wasn't. "Huh? Oh -- I suppose. If I gotta."

At that, he relaxed his grip, letting her sink back down and get her balance again. By now he was getting goosebumps, out of the water, as the drops slowly dried in the crisp air. "So my goal here is to get your clothes off and see what's underneath, huh?"

"I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't do it here, it's cold." More reason for him to be a gentleman.

"Then it sounds like I need to get you somewhere warm. And maybe fed out of the deal, huh?" Gentlemanly enough, though the two didn't necessarily go together. Even on a cold night, the beach had stands and shops nearby where people could go to grab a bite if they wanted. But Jecht's willing to do whatever the lady wishes.

"I tell you what..." Her voice low and beckoning. "Find me a warm place with water and maybe you'll see my swimsuit." Maybe a little bit more.

"You're pretty persuasive when you want to be." They could always go find a hotel and use the swimming pool there. Of course, that might give the wrong impressions all around... but given that kiss? Maybe not.

So sure, he knew how to play this, which was play like he was a big naive kid who only wanted to take her to the hotel for the swimming, unless he didn't need to. So he offered her an arm, faintly damp though it may be. "I think I know a place."

She gladly grabs his arm. "Well, show me."

"So I gotta ask you something," Jecht said in a different tone of voice -- he couldn't keep up the intimate attitude all the time, not and actually manage to accomplish anything but unsubtle suggestion. "Couple places on the 'net seem to think you've got an interesting musical past."
