[The night before had been everything Rei could've hoped for. Taking Yosuke to bed on a holiday had been the right idea, she thought, and she wasn't disappointed. The connection between the two of them felt deeper than ever, and there was a kind of rightness to it that that left her head swimming pleasantly. Morning came quickly, all too quickly for her tastes, and eventually as the sun probed through the windows she had to concede defeat and roll over. Patting Yosuke's chest gently, the violinist kissed his lips lightly and untangled her arms and legs from his.]

About time to get up, I guess. C'mon, let's get coffee and order breakfast before a shower.

[Slipping out of the bed she drew on a bathrobe and teetered dreamily over towards the door to the main room, waiting for him to do the same. In her haze, she missed the smells and sounds of life coming from the suite's central chamber, unfortunately, so when Rei and Yosuke open the doorway...dawning comprehension and mild panic are the order of the day.

Flowers over Bones had decided to pay their eldest daughter a visit on her mental health retreat...aaaand she'd forgotten those plans the evening before. So now here they were. Rei and Yosuke, the two teenage lovebirds, mussed and disheveled, leaning on one another...in full view of the entire band.

[After the first, second and possibly fourth round of apologizing is done by him, he's answering the door to let room service in to set up their breakfast. And after spooning himself up, he'll flop onto the couch, still trying to work his anxiety down a little bit about everyone being here right now.

[ Ivan's... a little late because the elevator door closed before he could get in it. Typical everyday hipster ninja things.

So, Ivan walks into the central chamber holding a thermos of Rei's favorite tea blend and a paper lily he learned how to fold, hoping to slide in unnoticed and pretend he arrived with the rest.

Or not. He takes one look at the messy pair and promptly turns around to walk back out the suite's door to wait in the hallway. With a thermos of tea and an origami lily.

[His jaw drops and he stands there for a second or two before his mouth starts working.]

[He really doesn't know what to say, he's so embarrassed. He pads through the central room and pokes his head out of the door.]

[ Ivan isn't far, just a few steps to the side of the door frame with a stunned expression and flushed cheeks. ]

[He can't tell if he's angry or not. But he taps the side of the doorway, leaves, gets interrupted on his way to get actual clothes by the Doctor and comes back with some form of real clothing. Thankfully, his hair doesn't take much to be put back into place.]

[ Ivan walks stiffly to the kitchenette in search of mugs or cups. He finds some and starts pouring cups of tea out. He doesn't stop at one. He's pouring until the thermos is empty of tea. It's like everything programmed within Ivan and everything that remained of him from his previous life has completely failed to prepare him for an event like this.

[Doctor gives Yosuke and Rei a long stare. When Rei turns and retreats back into the bedroom Yosuke gets all the ocular attention. In his mind Doctor weighs his possible reactions to this. As the Banddad he does have some guardian-like responsibility to look after the teens in the group but at the same time he's not Rei's actual father, and he'd really like to believe he's a cool banddad.

Doctor clears his throat loudly and walks up to Yosuke without blinking.]

[Yosuke's eyes follow Rei back into the bedroom, before his head turns back around slowly. He gulps. He's doomed. Out here alone to face the elements of Flowers Over Bones by himself. He faces the Doctor, partially terrified but ready for the verbal pain. Maybe physical pain. He doesn't know.]

...Y-Yeah... [He stammers out, nervously.] I-I don't really think either of us want a kid, so...we brought some.

[ Doctor takes a moment to reply, still thinking long and hard on how to really react to their situation. This isn't a scenario he had expected to play parent in any time soon. ]

You're really very serious about Rei aren't you? She's very important to you and you respect her as a person and might even want to marry her some day, right? You two are madly, truly, deeply, in love. Right?

[Pao-Lin happens to be the lucky soul next to him, whittling down a gigantic stack of pancakes drenched in butter and syrup. Nearby is a second plate filled with other breakfast foods like scrambled eggs and bacon. She gives Yosuke a look somewhere between mild disgust and general sympathy.]

These eggs are way too watery.

[He glances over at her food. Which is a lot more than Yosuke took.]
