MANTICORE's frontman guitarist and System Crash's "please stick me as far in the back as possible" bassist are accidentally putting on one hell of a show.

He blinks, confused, concerned- but he knows what a pause like that means. So he settles beside her, making sure she's fine. It's an odd reaction to the phrase, he thinks, but it also feels like the thing that describes them best.

"I won't call you that again if you don't want me to." Of course, he cares about her, so he's not about to make it any more awkward for her than he has to.

She wants nothing more than to have a brother. Tiger, Genos... those two are the closest thing she has to that. But those boys...

She's never felt more lonely in her life. She props her arms on her knees.

"... Just don't call me fussy. That's for a kid." Jeeze, a kid like Tiger. Not her. She is not a kid.

[wounds]

"Alright. Then my concerned little sister." Since he didn't hear a stop calling me a sister in there. So he'll reach over and ruffle her hair.

"Where do you want to go?"

What. She blinks. She does not get hair ruffles, she gives them. Mostly because her hair is basically made of static and shorter strands are now standing on end. This is why she normally keeps her hood up.

"Go?"

[wounds]

There's the tiniest little smile on his face. It's cute seeing her frazzled like that.

"Let's get something to eat."

[blindfoldcode]

She is not cute, omg, she is supposed to look tough and done with shit.

"You're the one who skipped eating. What do you want?"

[wounds]

Nah, she's cute and frazzled.

"Breakfast. Waffles and bacon sound good right about now."

[blindfoldcode]

"I think there's somewhere around here that does breakfast all day. We'll go there." And hope not to get mobbed or anything.

[wounds]

"Sounds great." He'll flash a smile as he starts packing up his guitar.

At least they've got bodyguards for this, even if it might mean constant observance. Better than getting mobbed.

Unfortunately, that does not protect them from the tabloids.

She gets to her feet, still a little shaky, and returns her bass to its case. "Depending on who shows up back here, should we invite everybody else, or just us?"

She kind of prefers one on one, but she doesn't know if he's as much of an introvert as she is.

Nothing can protect from those, he's pretty sure.

He considers bringing it with him. Instead he'll hand it off to one of the guards with strict instructions to make sure it gets back to his penthouse safe.

"Just us is fine." He sees his bandmates plenty, and those are the people he usually sits down at meals with.

That is probably true.

Kido will probably pass the bass off to someone in the band. "I kinda like the sound of that."

[wounds]

"Then lets get going."

He'll start heading towards the backdoor.

[blindfoldcode]

She'll follow along. She looks a little less dazed than when they first came off the stage. "I know that was weird, but... thanks." She really doubted anyone else would've played that with her.

[wounds]

"You're welcome... It... was good." Despite the odd feeling during the performance, it felt real. The music felt overpowering and true.

Can't say that about every song.

[blindfoldcode]

"We should do it again sometime." She says it in a half-playful tone like she might not be serious. She's totally serious.

[wounds]

"I'd like that," honest. Though maybe not a song that has them on such opposite ideals.

[blindfoldcode]

"You have to write the next song. It only went over because you played it well this time." She wonders if he's upset about those oppositions.

[wounds]

"You're locking yourself into this now. Pretty sure it was your lyrics." He's not upset exactly, he knows they're two very different people. The bottom line, the last stanzas they sung, say that they want similar things, even if it's two opposing ways of protecting.

She nudges him in the side. "There's a reason I'm not the lyricist for System Crash."

[wounds]

"Doesn't fit your image, but it was still good."

[blindfoldcode]

"You're still writing the next song." She rolls her eyes before she stuffs her hands in her hoodie pockets.

[wounds]

"If you insist. Just don't expect it to be as good."

[blindfoldcode]

"I think you have really low standards." She pulls her hood back up, making sure to tug it low over her eyes.

[wounds]

"You're not giving yourself enough credit."
