Although the boys made it through the most recent series of unfortunate events at Pride Records mostly unscathed, they're still dealing with the aftereffects just like everyone else. The return to life as they know it is swift thanks to Mr. Patil, but they still have time to get up to a whole new set of shenanigans...
A+
Thanks, yeah! I think I wanna give it a try. I still haven't ever had just regular coffee before. I always drink like, the frappe stuff that's cold and sugary and got whipped cream.

[BUT. Terry has no intention of judging Sora for his bad taste today. He pulls down a bag of coffee from the cabinet and some sugar too, putting the coffee on to brew.]
It's pretty bitter on its own. [He says as he roots around for a couple of mugs] Max drinks it with sugar.

Yeah, sugar sounds good... Maxxie's pretty great though, huh?
[HE'S SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS.]

[Terry raises an eyebrow at Sora and laughs, shaking his head at the comment.] Yeah... Yeah, he is.
[It's kinda gross how thinking about Maxxie puts a smile on his face honestly.]

Let me know if any of the other guys give you a hard time or anything, okay? 'Cause you're welcome here whenever you want. An honorary 'Step!

[He's careful not to accidentally use the word 'love' anywhere here, since Maxxie had kind of mildly panicked when he'd thrown the word out there.]
no subject
So. You and Jamie, huh?
no subject
Yeah... That's, uhm. [He laughs, looking down bashfully as he draws a random little pattern on the countertop with his finger.] I mean I'm thinking I might take some breakfast back to my room in a bit, actually. For him. Unless he wakes up first. Would you mind?
no subject
Course not. [He pours out the coffee finally and pushes one toward Sora. And then he pushes the sugar over too. Maybe he should get some cream? Who knows.] Try that first though.

He shifts in his seat and takes the offered coffee with both hands, blowing on it briefly. A glance is cast to the sugar, but he's gonna be brave and try it plain first before, he's sure, ultimately deciding on the sugar. Still.]
Alright, here goes nothin'!
[A gulp is taken. A nose-crinkled face is made. He swallows anyway, then grabs the sugar to add like three spoonfuls.]
That's bitter!

How long have you been drinking coffee like this?
no subject
Three or four years, maybe? I remember my mom telling me I shouldn't be drinking coffee at all when I was in middle school. [He laughs a little awkwardly.] You'd think I'd started smoking.
[A lot more clearly than he remembers most things about his mom, now he thinks about it. But that's probably no big deal.]
When I left home and started working though, that was the end of sugar and cream for me.

He blows on the coffee as he listens to Terry, then takes another sip.]
When you started working as a musician? Or did you do something else before that?
no subject
[He's frowning a little as he says it, because the memories are all fuzzy and don't feel entirely real. But he shrugs it off. It's probably just because he's still a bit sleepy.]
no subject
[He can't recall having seen Terry dance before. Unless maybe he had at the New Year's party and Sora had just forgotten. He does remember talking to him, though.]
no subject
God no. [He shakes his head] Dancing is your domain.
no subject
Well, you're good at what you do, anyway! I like your band's stuff.
