“Every prince is a fantasy, The witch is inside of me. Her poison will wash away the memory.” ☆BETTER TO PRETEND ![]() The day has finally come for Fairy Trial filming to begin! No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination. Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone. “We kill the lights and put on a show. It's all a lie, but you'd never know. The star will shine, And then it will fall, And you will forget it all.” |

☆THE YE XIAN CHALLENGE
[Their obstacle course takes up an entire floor, and there’s no single way to get to the room where the golden slipper is on display. Whatever way is chosen, there are plenty of hiding spots, bright red laser alarms, cameras, and guards on casual patrol. When the slipper is finally reached, good luck figuring out how to remove it without getting caught.]
[...Or maybe you’re a believer in the ‘snatch and run’ school of thievery.]
Artolo and Usagi
[He fairly cackles.]
[This is probably proof he's not a good person.]
[Cracking his knuckles, Artolo grins at the various screens in front of him and leans back. This is gonna be good.]

She took a deep breath as they counted down.
3...
2..
1.
GO!
Usagi started heading in, and since she was very familiar with boots, she was doing alright, honestly. Any time she though she heard something, she would press herself against a wall or in the shadows of a statue. She glared as she watched security come for her again and had already done two sweeps prior.
What. A. Jerk.
She was starting to sweat as she was pressed back to back with a statue, the security guards on her path and she closed her eyes, having to remind herself that this was just a game and praying she didn't need to sneeze.]
no subject
[Elbows on the console, he rests his chin on his knuckles and watches her progress through the screen. It's actually a little surprising to find that she's not as atrocious as he would have pegged her. Still not exactly the stealth master, and he sniggers as he watches her hide behind a statue.]
[Classic sneaky maneuver. Sure would be a shame... if someone were to ring the alarm again for the security...]
[He doesn't.]
[No, what Art does is that he waits until security has moved on and she's on the move again. Then he presses the big shiny security button for that area.]
[Ain't he a stinker?]
no subject
She was only 50 feet away now. She was panting and leaned her forehead against the wall. What did she do to deserve this?
She took a deep breath and watched as the security passed her. Couldn't there be a limit on the security or something! Usagi made her way to the next hiding spot. This was the trickier part. There were absolutely no hiding spots for the last 25 feet. She took a deep breath as she looked at the door that would have what she wanted.
Jerk better not be able to lock it.
Usagi made a mad dash and was quick to get into the room, slamming the door behind her. She leaned against it and let out a breath. When she was in the brightly lit room?]
EEEEE! [She jumped in victory at having made it.] I'll be taking that shoe now. [He wasn't allowed to stop her from that at least.]
no subject
[All his best efforts, and she still reaches the shoe? Maybe he should have accepted going next to her just to be a pain in the ass. Impatient, he drums his fingers along the console, ready to slam the button as soon as she's out again.]
[He's not going to let this go easy, come hell or high water.]
no subject
no subject
[A lazy gesture to where it's sitting.]
No one said I had to just give it to you.
no subject
Well, bye. [Such a jerk!
Just as Usagi was heading through the door, shoe in hand when the security were coming through the back door since that was how they had to circle. Her eyes widened and she let out a scream without thinking she grabbed Artolo and bolted, the security running after them. ]
no subject
[What actually happens: everything suddenly a blur, his feet scrambling beneath him and a pressure around his wrist.]
[Artolo can barely parse out what's happening, and his body simply reacts on instinct. When he finally realizes what's going on, he bursts out into a hyena cackle that would alert the whole building even if they weren't being chased.]
Holy crap, what are you thinking!?
no subject
no subject
[It's getting hard to laugh with all this running, and, as he's catching his breath, his vision seems to swim for a second. Suddenly, it doesn't seem like the inside of some stupid show challenge level, but grim city streets, and the hand around his is clawed- green and yellow eyes glancing back at him, long wild black hair, those horns- ]
[Panic, drumming up a storm in his heart, and he can hear the blood echoing the frantic beat in his ears.]
[Without really thinking about it, Artolo finds his footing beneath him again and starts to speed up until his long legs help him keep stride with the blonde easily. His gaze, what can be seen of it with the contacts, seems a bit far away.]
no subject
[She was yelling, but he was also a jerk and she didn't care as she kept a hold of him and the show as they ran, getting further and further from the guards even though she was faster than Artolo. But then suddenly, he sped up? Was he trying to help her?
She glanced over to him, wondering what was going on but refusing to lose speed.]
no subject
Listen, you should be thankful I didn't come with you or else I'd have shoved you into every single dumb laser! Although you seem to be doing just stellar on that front yourself!

Bill Cipher and Muraki
"Now THIS is more like it!"
He has since, changed his tune.
Is there an intercom? Oh PLEASE tell him there is an intercom. If Bill is to be in charge of this poor mortal's fate, he wants to be able to interact and taunt him as much as possible. He grins at the screen in the security station. Maybe if this guy proves entertaining enough, he'll cut him some slack.
"Sorry, buddy, but you're in MY GAME NOW~!"
Re: Bill Cipher and Muraki
Sure enough, an intercom clicks on, that voice booming out. He pauses in the shadows, lifting his head under his hood. He chuckles in his throat, then replies, projecting his voice to try and hide its point of origin, "Funny, I thought that it was everyone's game, though I suppose every character in a story, even the villain, views themself as the hero or the protagonist."
no subject
As if being a hero or protagonist was better than evil overlordship!
"Besides, you ever heard the expression, 'history is decided by the winners'? He whose story is remembered the fondest is the one who invents the truth. Whether I'm a hero or a villain ain't up to ME- it's up to who tells my story!"
This guy is good. Bill nearly laughs when he checks the sound quality of his cameras only to realize this guy is actually throwing his voice. While that hardly impedes Bill's perspective-- really, it's cute to think the guy is putting in this much wasted effort!- Bill supposes it might give a slight advantage over the guardsmen, but he hardly had much hope in them to begin with. Pff if they were anything like the security he had at Virgo, they couldn't follow his instructions to save their life!
His hand hovers over the call button.
"And do you know what type of story audiences like best?"
no subject
He draws in a breath quietly, doing his best not to give away his position. "If audiences are consistent, they like stories where the heroes get hurt in some way shape or forms. 'Kill your darlings', as one writer put it famously," he replies, sliding along one wall, making himself a moving target.
no subject
You're right, Mr. Macabre-
The most interesting narratives are the ones with a little element called DANGER!"
He pushes the button.
"Guess we'll see if our viewers count you as one of those darlings~"
Don't disappoint him now.
There won't be much warning on how quickly the security team will sweep into the room. Given how the set is decorated like a museum for the purpose of the heist storyline, there should be plenty for Muraki to hide behind, at least.

Footsteps clatter into the hall and beams from flashlights pan over some of the display cases. Sariel has just enough time to duck behind and beside a suit of armor, posing himself almost in the same pose, in a bid to blend in with his surroundings at least for the moment...
Nia and Sabo
no subject
Besides, after the last couple of months, all she wants to do is do something right. So when she's waiting at the security center, she isn't even thinking of messing this up for Sabo. She's gonna do this right.]
no subject
At some point he realizes that she's not going to be by his side so he will have to get the slipper on his own. Fine with him. He'll work better without the dead weight.
He cringes a little at the lasers that twine across the obstacle course and sheds his jacket, knowing it'll just get in the way before making his way through them, lithe in a way he didn't even know he could be.
At some point, trying to dodge a security guard, he ducks behind the shadow of a pedestal, noting a security camera and giving it a salute. If he's going to do this might as well give them a show]
