A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

General

It's actually a little hard to be here for Luce. She'd had so many friends in Pride, after all, and it quietly horrifies her that she'd been able to get away with so much because of it. She's talked to a lot of people- and returned Yuffie's phone- and the general consensus seems to be forgiveness. Still it weighs on her.

For tonight, however, she's doing her best to be the life of the party as always. She can be found asking people to dance with an uncharacteristically shy smile and an offered hand on the dancefloor, or sitting and watching what seems to be a MST3K marathon in one of the rooms.

She stays far away from the bar, however.

For Pride

Anyone she can identify as from Pride is who Luce approaches at some point during the night, a small box often in her hand.

"Excuse me, dear?"


[ooc: Luce is doing her Solstice gift giving a little late for her Pride friends. If you're not on the list, she might be giving you something to pass down the line for whoever hasn't attended and that she thus can't reach. Because ahaha... She doesn't trust anyone else in Pride to not be petty bastards.]

[The list: Tiger gets sunglasses. Tamara gets gloves. Same for Maki. Trucy gets little collar buttons. Luci gets sunglasses. Jecht gets leather gloves. Yuffie gets earrings. Nariko gets headphones. Jamie gets a pin. Sora gets a pendant. Yosuke gets jeans with a note saying they're torn by actual tigers as a charity thing... along with a book on how to impress your girlfriend's parents. And Koumei gets the gold ring.]

Sora's also staying away from the bar this time, since New Year's Day had been spent with his first ever hangover and he's not keen to relive that particular experience anytime soon. He's keeping to soda. Which he's cradling a glass of in his hands as he sits at a table, watching everyone else. He's got a few presents with him, stacked on the booth seat beside him. There's a smile on his face, and it's genuine, but he does look a little bit distant, like his thoughts are somewhere else.

He's brought out of them when Luce approaches, however. She gets a bigger smile. "Hey, there you are!"

"There you are." Giggling, she holds out a small box to him. "Here- it's for you. With things how they are, I haven't had a chance to get it to you until today."

Bodyguards, label paranoia, and the suspicion that it'd get put in a dumpster if she sent it the normal way.

"Oh man, thanks, Luce!" He happily takes the present from her. "Oh, I have yours too! And yeah, I couldn't really get it to you until now either. Just kinda the way things are right now I guess. Uh... also this is a little heavy and kinda fragile, so be careful, okay?"

He turns to lift a box about the size of one's lap off of the seat beside him, putting it down gently on the table in front of Luce. Inside is a music box with white lilies on the top that plays Waltz of the Flowers and has a dancing couple in it.

"Oh...?" This is certainly a surprise, and it shows on her face as her eyebrows go up. She supposes it shouldn't be too much of a shock. Of course other people would get the idea of taking this opportunity to give presents to anyone they knew on the other side.

Once the present is set down, she takes to unwrapping it with a very careful hand. That means it takes a bit, but she doesn't want to ruin anything by accident. Fragile, yes? Once it's finally done, however, and she opens the box... Luce's hands fold together in front of her mouth, her eyes shining in delight.

"Sora, it's beautiful."

While Luce is opening her present carefully, Sora rips into his a lot more quickly, too excited. However this gives him time to smile over it and immediately put the pendant on before Luce has finished opening hers, so he can watch her reaction. Which just serves to make his smile widen.

"I'm happy you like it! I love what you got me too," he says sincerely, holding the pendant around his neck in his hand.

Just to be careful, because you never know during parties, she'll have to find a place to stow this away until she goes back to the penthouse... But for now, Luce just keeps one hand on top of the music box as she smiles to Sora.

"I'm glad you like it. I know that some boys aren't into much jewelry, but it reminded me of you!"

It seems that the music business just has one party after another. Molly actually had fun at the Solstice party, thanks to Kido. But she is still a bit wary. Still, if her band is attending this other party, then she is, too. And, for the better part of the night, she's sticking close to the people she knows.

She is surprised when Luce approaches her. She hasn't heard from her for a while, thanks to everything that's been going on. She sees the box in her hand, but doesn't expect anything. "Oh, hello!"

It's nice to see so many others actually attending this. After everything... Luce will admit she'd been a bit worried. Tensions were high, after all. Everything going so well is reassuring.

So it's with a smile on her face that she holds out the box to Molly. "This is for you. I know it's no longer December, but I simply couldn't get it to you until now."

A gift? From Luce? Molly's cheeks burn bright red, and she isn't sure why. She has so much respect for Flowers Over Bones, so to know that they all like her too is... well, incredible, really.

"Y-You didn't have to..." she mutters, reaching out to take the box. How embarrassing, stuttering like this! Pull it together, Molly. "Th-thank you."

"Well, tis the season, right?" Luce giggles into one hand once the gift is taken. "Even if the season was technically a month ago... But who's counting?"

Blanche and Lesedi can be blamed for the delayed gift giving, as far as she's concerned.

Still blushing, but trying to be cool about the whole thing, Molly begins opening her present right there. Inside, she finds the cute little gloves, decorated with pretty flowers and lace, and she wants to hug Luce. ...Would that be okay? One time Molly hugged Kido and the poor girl had stiffened up... so Molly tries to keep herself from just glomping people.

"They're gorgeous," she coos, taking one out to look at it. She will put them on as soon as she can find a place for the box. Then she looks up at Luce again, smiling brightly. "Thank you! I love them!"

Waiting patiently, Luce leans back in relief at the positive reception. "I'm glad you like them! I wasn't sure what sort of things were your style... I had to go on intuition." Another giggle is hidden in her hand.

"It looks like I was lucky."

[Parker appreciates that the kind of person she was assigned to write a song about is also the kind of person who throws parties. It makes research much easier.

She finds the host in the back, watching the MST3K marathon, and casually leans over the back of the couch, trying not to seem too interested.]

So what keeps the life of the party back here watching TV?

[Luce isn't as familiar with Parker as she is with some others in Virgo, but that doesn't stop her from smiling as she tilts her head back.]

Oh, I'm hardly that! Besides, I can only take half credit for this. Luci has been amazing in getting this set up as well.

[Parker snorts at that.] Maybe when I work up the courage to confront she who hath been crowned queen I'll go ask her, but she's actually partying and you're back here.

Her bark is worse than her bite, but then, I have a way with people so perhaps I'm biased. Still, I won't argue with a movie buddy. Have a seat- [Luce gestures besides her.] My favorite one is coming up.

[Parker obliges, clambering over the back of the seat to take her place.]

You never answered my question. How come you're back here instead of living out the results of all your hard work?

[Meril looks -- for her -- like hell. She hasn't bothered to put on any makeup for this closed-off party, so the dark circles under her eyes stand out blatantly against her light skin. For that matter, her smile, while genuine, carries very little weight of true happiness behind it.]

Luce. I wanted to thank you for the presents you sent me.

[Luce starts speaking before she's even completely turned around, glad to hear Meril's voice.]

Oh, it's no problem, I- Meril! [And that's when she realizes just how the other woman looks, her brow furrowing in concern.] You look like you've had better days.

[Meril simply shrugs, trying to deflect the question as nothing important.] No problem or not, they are very appreciated.

[Yeah, nope. Luce crosses her arms.] I'm glad you like them. Have you been eating right, Meril?

Have I ever been eating right? I do not exactly worry about what I eat... [Defensive, Meril retreats behind a convenient truth to cover the greater issue Luce has caught on to.]

She wasn't really planning on dancing. Leave that to people who are more likely to enjoy themselves. And you know, can actually make eye contact with each other. Her whole thing just makes it difficult.

So she's a little surprised when Luce offers, fumbling for her phone a little.

You sure?

The whole eye contact thing doesn't seem to deter Luce, as evidence by her still outstretched hand. Her fingers curl just a bit when she leans closer to read the phone.

"Oh, absolutely! So long as you're interested, of course."
