A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

Ivan Karelin - choose your own bolded adventure

Like he has been in most social gatherings he's been dragged too, Ivan is mostly keeping to himself. A few times during the night, Ivan will check on his bandmates. He knows this night will be difficult for some, and as he escaped a lot of recent trauma, he's mostly here to help out in case something happens. He hopes his worries are for naught.

In the meantime, he's keeping himself busy with the small room that has a game system. Cerio Creator and Critter Intersection: Figmo Party are among some of the games available. Cerio Creator is great for backseat gaming and aggravation or joint creation of levels. Critter Intersection is a low stress and attention board game that many can join in.

Or Ivan could be doing something else as well.

[[ ooc: I'm handwaving gifts (lack the energy to do them all), but they are most likely a form of sweet that Ivan has baked himself in the shapes of something the receiver reminds Ivan of. Acquaintances are given more generic small bag of flower cookies. ]]

[Oh, there he is. Okay, smooth out hair, pull out mirror and check make up one last time. Deep breath. Good.]

Um, hi.

[Usually Trucy approaches people with a lot more cheerful confidence. But she's never asked anyone out before, so she's understandably a little nervous.]

Do you have a minute?

Hi, Trucy. Sure I do.

[ He puts down the controller and rummages through a bag he has beside him. He finds the one he's looking for and holds it out to her. ]

A-Actually... I was hoping you'd come to the party. This is just a small thing, but I made these for you.

[ He offers the gift humbly, in a Japanese style. ]

[She accepts them with a delighted smile and a deep red blush on her cheeks.]

Aw, they're so cute! Thank you!

[Eeee he made her something~! And it provides a nice segue into what she brought for him. Welp, here goes nothing.]

Um actually... I have something for you too. Here.

[She pulls out an origami flower and hands it to him.]

I made it. And.. wrote the poem too.

[Sure enough, there is a haiku written on the petals.

Two floating petals
May encounter on the breeze
A journey of love.

Trucy pauses, to give him a moment to read it.]

The journey is a date. With me.

[Awkward pause.]

Do you wanna go out with me?

[Best confession. Good job Trucy.]

[ Taking the origami flower with both hands, he cradles it gently. A cherry blossom, Trucy knows. (Not that it's too hard too, but he's recently met someone who had no clue about the flowers.) Ivan thanks her and starts reading the poem. The three lines don't take very long, but once he's done and she asks her question, his expression freezes in puzzlement and surprise like his brain has locked itself up and needs to be rebooted. ]

Eh?

[ Blink blink.

Huh?

Has he... missed something?

It seems that while Ivan has escaped violent situations, he has not escaped incredibly surprising social situations. He's being asked out on a date? That can't be right. He's not someone who's gets asked these things. Or could it be like the date Pao-Lin and Rei went on? But she mentioned loved in her haiku, so it's a date date. Not just two people going some place together.

... This doesn't make sense to him. Ivan doesn't get this kind of attention. That belongs to the higher ranked musicians or the other people in his band. ]

[The awkward silence stretches between them and Trucy fidgets, smoothing out imaginary wrinkles in her dress. Her smile falters, just slightly, and she tries again.]

Um, I really like you. I mean, like you like you. You're smart and handsome and really nice and I know we're in different labels and I'm not exactly good at this romance stuff but I thought maybe....

[After that rush of words, she trails off with a nervous laugh.]

I guess I should've thought this through a little more.

You... like me like me?

[ Slowly, very slowly, things are making their way through, and Ivan feels guilty. He's never given it any thought about the two of them taking their relationship in that direction. He doesn't know how romance works either or what to do. On stage or in aloof musician mode, it's easy, but when it's with a friend, he doesn't have his "stage character" to fall back on.

And he doesn't want to hurt Trucy, but he feels like no matter what he does, he'll end up doing so. ]

... Did... Luce talk to you? I-I didn't want her to try to set me up with someone... because I...

[ He bites his lip and curls inward slightly. He's still holding the origami flower in hsi hands. ]

... I-I'm not sure who I am right now... or anymore...

[Well don't mind if you suddenly have an observer for your level creation. Rei needs a break from the atmosphere, and Ivan's a great distraction. So have a sis, sitting beside you.]

How far along are you? Is this your masterpiece level?

I've got a basic idea down... I want to try to make one of those self playing musical levels, so the experience has to be good.

[ The character will have to ride through the level while other things are bouncing on music note blocks. And then he has to make the atmosphere fun.

Ivan taps his chin. ]

A game jingle would probably be easier, huh?

[She is bad at video games, Ivan. She is awful at them :(]

[ Oddly enough, this is something that anyone can play because they don't actually play. They're just going along for a ride. ]

Do you want to help me pick one?

[ He has his phone and an internet connection for music clips. ]

[Hmmm. Those are pretty neat...even Rei probably can finish a level!]

Oh, sure. Is there a game you had in mind? Or a particular sound?

[ He wants it to be memorable but not overdone. He also has a limit of how long it could be. That monster catching game with the electric rodent could work.

Tamara's trying to mingle, but it's rather difficult to do. (She refuses to drink others have handled, and she feels ashamed of it. She and Luce have mended their fences, and yet this distrust still exists.) She decides to talk away the nervousness, so Ivan may find the old speaker at his school sitting next to him.

She looks nice as usual, all in red. "Ivan?"

"Miss Tamara, hello." Ivan gives her a smile and makes sure she has enough room to sit comfortably. "It's been awhile... The, uh... music festival, right?"

He's not talking as smoothly as he was back then. He's more uncertain and quieter, as if that was possible for him. The visions plush his new-found power are shaking his confidence.

"Of course..." Tamara tilts her head. "What's wrong, Ivan?" It's been crazy the last couple weeks we admit.

"Oh, I've just not been sleeping too well. That's all." It's a partial truth at least. "I have something for you. I made a lot in case people I don't see often came."

He pulls out a bag of cookies and hands it to her. "Here."

And Tamara's face brightens at the cookies, beautiful and flower-shaped.

"Did you make these Ivan?"

If he did, someone's getting a smooch on the cheek.

"I did. It was hard getting the kitchen in the penthouse. So many cook in my band." And some of them stress cook as well.

However, Ivan will flinch at the kiss. The touch is a surprise and causes a jolt of his power as he copies her form. He really wishes this power had an off button.

[Pao-Lin hasn't played too many video games, but right now she's camped out in front of one of the game room TVs with a (nonalcoholic) drink and some snacks (of course; they probably include some treats Ivan got or made her for the solstice). She's actually playing a game called Demolition Man: Champion and -- what else? -- having a blast. ba-dump ching]

[ Yes, she looks like she's having a blast, and Ivan moves closer to watch. ]

This reminds me of the cannon we used.

[ Bombs are another kind of percussion, right? ]

[ He's reminded of that random memory he got of being punched by some giant mecha robot thing. Yeah. An origami cannon wouldn't be able to do much. ]

What about placing the bombs down, so they'd make a beat?

Wait, I know!

[Pao-Lin starts tossing bombs in beat with the BGM of the stage she's on. She is...only mildly successful, but hey, she tried. Although her character takes a hit in the process from an enemy she didn't notice.]
