005 ✽ We be all night
Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.
When: Jan 8th
Where: The basement of the club Blue Heist
Warnings: None planned besides possible/probably intoxication

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?
Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.
Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.
Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.
And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.
Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

Mai [Pride] - OTA
At this point, any party leaves Mai wary. The New Years festivities had been wholly skipped and beyond recording sessions she had seemed reluctant to leave the penthouse beyond that. Things were beginning to pile up and Mai was increasingly finding there was little way around the feelings things dredged up in her.
Either way, she can't stand being cooped up anymore. She had thought of actually tweeting to find others in Pride to bum around with for a while but a party worked just as well. She's not going to openly admit that she's done a fine job of isolating herself and thus is bored to death... for now anyhow.
Don't be too surprised if at some point in the night the violinist walks up more or less casually and plunks a drink in front of you - Pride or Virgo. It's her way of saying hello at this point.

"Thanks, but I don't drink alcohol."
He didn't recognize her, but that wouldn't be too surprising. For someone that was the frontman of a popular pre-teen pop band, he really doesn't get out much unless he felt like it.
"Hi."

"Hey."

"I don't think we've met before; are you from Pride Records?"

The source is a little bit of a surprise though, in that he barely knows her. He didn't expect Meril's """""""rival""""""" to be so charitable.
"Uhh, thanks. It's Mai, right?"
no subject
"You've got it."
no subject
"You, uh... oh! You're the werewolf, right?" He grins. Usually he doesn't bother much with tabloids, but rumors that silly seem harmless enough to enjoy. "Man, I was sure I'd get accused of that first."

Okay.
This is a thing.
Luce gives a small start as the drink is suddenly put in front of her, blinking at the young woman. It almost feels like a test of trust or character, although she knows that's more from her own guilt than anything, so after a moment she wraps her fingers around the glass. "Hello to you as well, dear. I heard about your lead."

The mention of Wolfram draws a sigh from the woman. "He's got pretty good timing for getting fired at least. The fans are going to snap up any of our old work anyhow." Particularly the Solstice single.
no subject
"Hopefully the party helps take your mind off of things." Tentatively, she takes a sip. "How are you liking it?"

He looks relieved, clearly trusts her answer, and takes a sip. Soda. Excellent. "Good. I don't really want a repeat of my New Year's," he explains with a laugh, then stops and glances at his phone again, for just a split second. "Well, the hangover part, anyway. The rest wasn't so bad. Anyway, I'm Sora."

Though Lesedi had sure scared the hell out of her.
"Did you...Did anyone hurt you? I was a little afraid to call..."

There's no way Doctor wouldn't be familiar Crown of Thorns when they're in the same genre as his own band. Rei was particularly interested in her fellow violinist in past conversations.

Meril, halfway through the door, retreated several steps in an instant out of sheer alarm and surprise, right till her back hit the wall behind her. Mai had every reason to just lash out at her, and she had to admit she deserved it. And she probably didn't even have the strength to fight back right now, looking like seven layers of hell as she did.
no subject
So Mai does the Mai sort of thing - her arms cross, she lifts a brow and a blunt comment falls out with the vague veneer of argumentative.
"You look like hell."
no subject
"You look well. I... am glad." Okay, how did one apologize for attempting to bludgeon someone else to death with a chair while apparently not in her right mind? Somehow her music lessons had never covered this apparently vital necessity.

"I can't even put into words how much I care. Just don't count on me if you get too wasted."
no subject
"Mai...I know it's a bunch of rumors, but some rumors are indeed true. I have never ever gotten too drunk or too wasted. I always know exactly what I'm doing, no matter how much I've had to drink." He's built up that much of a tolerance. "In fact, I'd probably have to count of you for help if I wasn't drinking." Even he can admit that he functions better when he's moderately drunk.
